I do have 2 silver eagles...I'm not interested in them. My personal favorite silver to collect is 90% halves, quarters and dimes. No worries with 90% junk silver.
I do like the 90% silver too. There still is a level of risk though with the larger coins like halves. I once purchased a roll of Barber half dollars from one of if not the largest and most well known retailer and 2 out of the 20 were counterfeit. Obviously large retailers can’t check every dime, quarter and half for authenticity as they come in from the secondary market so the blame isn’t with them but fake 90% coins are out there.
If you look at it as 1 oz of silver instead of the value from its rarity then yeah doesnt make sense. Especially from a stackers pov. Some people put value in the rarity or numismatic value. I agree i would never pay 4,000 for 1 coin no matter what. But the chance of increased value is still there.
@@clavacats2991 I believe the "Pride of 2 Nations" mint set from 2019 is the same enhanced reverse proof design but with a W mint mark and a mintage of 100k or so.
Hey there, here in EU you can find silver eagles in small stores that shell antiques for really cheap or really expensive prizes, best advice ever : "Buy from a Bullion Dealer", thanks for the video ...
I suggest also taking a magnet as well as a loupe (or magnifying glass) to coin shows. One can always say one wishes to admire the detail in the coin/round/whatever by taking a closer look!
You mention JM Bullion and Provident metals in the vid. This week I have noticed when doing prices checks that they are identical for the items I was looking for. I thought that they would merge websites but doesn't seem to have happened but with prices the same, it makes no sense to continue two websites. Your thoughts?
I really like the American Silver Eagles, so much so I decided to procure future Proof coins! I currently have the 2018w, 2019s and w, and just purchased the 2020 from the US Mint! Also, I knew that coin was the fake one, because of the amount of light it reflected!🤔
Selling on Silver on Ebay is fine, but buying on that site is too risky. The major mints that sell online are safe and so too are reputable coin dealers in your community. I have my magnets and a scale to test coins.
I’ve handled some fakes. If you’ve played with real silver eagles for just about any time, it’s easy to spot the fakes. For now at least... They’ve gotten good at faking 90% silver and some gold bars. So far, the eagles are obvious.
Silver Dragon: You mentioned in this video having one of your coins graded. I once looked into the cost of having coins graded and it seems rather expensive. Have you done any videos about which graders are the best and most cost effective ones to use?
Daniel McLaughlin I sent it in to PCGS and the total cost was around $100... it’s expensive but so is that coin 😏 I haven’t made any videos on it yet 🔥🐉
What! The 10 2019 Proof Silver Eagles I got from Wish for $18 are fake? No way. They came in nice Chinese mail packaging a month later! They are genuine Chinese made at a reasonable price!
What an aggravating thing. It infuriates me when people get ripped off. We all can't afford a Sigma or know all the other tests or will do them like me eh, LOL. Good post my young son !
Anyone ever mention your voice sounds similar to another RUclipsr aka "Philly D" . Not identical but similar. Now if you can just get some of his sub's to view your videos!
AMERICA Not So Fun Facts The world debt is approximately 340 Trillion, the United States is about 70 Trillion of the three forty trillion dollar amount, do any of you understand what that actually means in relationship to dollar value and future debt, this next fact is to provide a visual relationship to the amount of that debt over time passages. I found that 1,000 seconds ago was equal to almost 17 minutes. It would take almost 12 days for a million seconds to elapse and 31.7 years for a billion seconds. Therefore, a TRILLION SECONDS, would amount to no less than 31,709.8 years in to Our future. Ask Yourselves, what does about 70 Trillions dollars means to our GREAT GREAT GREAT Grand Kids and THEIR MONETARY FUTURES mean? Accordingly, cutting interest rates has increasingly less potency on Main Street due to the crushing absolute level of debt. As of Q1 2019, in fact, total public and private debt weighed in at $73 trillion and is up by $21 trillion from the pre-crisis peak in Q4 2007 … There are now two turns of extra debt on the national income (3.47x versus 1.48x) compared to the long-standing leverage ratio which prevailed during the century between 1870 and 1970. In quantitative terms, those extra turns amount to $40 trillion of extra debt being lugged around by the US economy. Needless to say, it is becoming ever harder for the Fed to stimulate more borrowing and spending relative to the nation’s $21 trillion of nominal income. It’s simply a matter of diminishing returns to small reductions in what are already rock bottom rates - coupled with the exhaustion of balance sheet capacity.” schiffgold.com/key-gold-news/the-fed-has-the-economy-on-life-support/
That's another reason why love the maple leafs. They are much harder to fake.
Laser Sharp Edge very true! several security features... next year the USmint is switching it up 🔥🐉
There are so many better sources than buying a single ASE from a small eBay seller. Definitely gotta be smart when selecting a seller.
Silver Bean Counter you got that right SBC!!! 👍🏽🔥🐉

With halves there were alot of 40% Kennedy .50 blanks that were struck with pre 65 dates so as to pass as 90%.
Bob Silver yeah 90% silver is epic! I need more constitutional!!! 🔥🐉
I 100% hate Fake Silver Coins & Fake Silver bar!!! :(

Roger S you got it my friend and JAAS got the gift yesterday! that was super cool of you and he loved it!!! 🔥🐉
some of then reverse ASE's are going for $4,000, I can't see paying that much for 1 oz of silver.
If you look at it as 1 oz of silver instead of the value from its rarity then yeah doesnt make sense. Especially from a stackers pov. Some people put value in the rarity or numismatic value. I agree i would never pay 4,000 for 1 coin no matter what. But the chance of increased value is still there.
it is very pretty thou...and they wont make another...in this design

i thought it might be! even that sold out in seconds... i found out about it too late to even attempt a purchase
gene Pohlemann yeah pretty heavy numismatic value for sure 🔥🐉
Curious where you got the fake?
Steve Woods it was a friend mail from someone who will remain unnamed 😏🔥🐉
what about jewlery stores, as there are no coin shops near me? what about the silver jewlery that is marked? thank you fer this videi
russ sherwood seems like they would not even sell bullion? I would not recommend going there 🔥🐉
ASE fakes have been going on for years. FakeBay is the number 1 platform for passing these off. Being in slabs is the easiest way to pass a fake.
stackn and packn yep for sure! so sketchy 🔥🐉
Peace Eagle coming 2021
Tori G I can’t wait to see what they do with the reverse. I am thinking a privy 🔥🐉

The Silver Collector yes gotta buy from a legit source. thanks for watching! 🔥🐉
Love the video. Question: do you think it’s ok to bring a magnet or anything else to test silver at a LCS?
I think and LCS worth their salt would be fine with it!! Most LCSs will test for you there if you ask
I suggest also taking a magnet as well as a loupe (or magnifying glass) to coin shows. One can always say one wishes to admire the detail in the coin/round/whatever by taking a closer look!
Silver Wookie go for it! if they are mad about it then just leave 😂🔥🐉
Thanks for the heads up SD

If you get a fake one don't you need to report it since it's faking a currency?
It's your choice, you don't have to. Hard to prosecute the chinese anyway
rockonblackops777 technically it’s illegal to knowingly import them 😮🔥🐉
I Wonder How They Make Those Counterfeits ? And How Ebay And Amazon Can’t Tell The Difference ?
