Required outside irrespective of the uniform worn - exception in hazard areas like flight lines where could be FOD (foreign object damage) if sucked up into a jet engine, but off when inside, with the possible exception of ceremonial duty assignment.
Small problem is that he has flowers in his left hand and his mother in his right hand where was he supposed to do with both hands full he had to leave his cover on

i suprised my father on fathers day just like this when i got home from my tour, its very emotional but a memory for years to come
