Time to get the SLS Black Series on the road for it's first adventure! Heading back home to my place in Germany, that means seeing how the car handles 300km/h and a McDonald's Drive Thru to wrap up a long journey.
Shmee: Buys a German SLS Black Series in Germany, tows it back to the UK with his G63 AMG, registers it as a UK car with his 'SHMEE' numberplate, resprays the entire car, then, during the middle of a global pandemic when the majority of the world is locked down, he (legally and responsibly) takes it on the Euro Tunnel, drives it back across to Germany at 300km/h on the Autobahn to a McDonalds, and then navigates the McDonalds drive through whilst hanging out the gull wing doors... Amazing
To be fair, the pandemic's first wave is basically over in all of Europe. In the region I live in we had like 6 new cases a day, the neighboring one had like 4 despite being 4 times as big.
Absolutely love the fact that despite enjoying the fastest you've been in your new dream car, you still manage to remember to give the mandatory safety instructions for autobahn driving 😂
The SLS looks bloody marvelous, great choice of colour, for both body and wheels. That segment at the petrol stop could really get you salivating. Driving from one home to another could not be much better.
It genuinely makes me happy and smile to see when you get emotional because of how far you’ve made it, and for your passion for cars. Watching your channel has thought me so much and made me dive even deeper into my obsession and makes me want to work harder to someday own the cars you show us. You do a fantastic job and please keep it up!!!

Honestly, I think the silver wheels look awesome. The normal sls amg always looked better with silver wheels, and so does this black series in a dark blue such as mystic blue.

I'm always glad to see that you're actually using your cars to the fullest and not keeping them as some kind of garage queens. Keep up the good content. For the SLS I can finally understand what you wanted to achieve. I was sceptical when you changed the colour from Himalaya Gray, but now it looks one of it's kind. I also can't wait for the steering wheel upgrade which you have mentioned several times already. You're correct, it indeed makes the interior look a little bit older than it actually is. Stay safe!

Tim...thank you for this uplifting video...at last some freedom even if with special permissions. It helped me to think that maybe I can get back to the Autobahns sometime later this year...I had planned an epic trip through Holland, Denmark and up into Sweden, Norway and back through Finland...so far all I have achieved is a pile of maps!! This car is SO much better than the GTR and the GTR Pro. For starters it'll go up a ramp and over a speed bump and it has so much more personality. And despite being a sceptic about the paint colour change I am convinced. It looks amazing. Oh and even a sneaky püppi150 (seriously, how is that pronounced??) arm appearance! :)

Engine noise is no issue, the wind/tire noise however is more noticeable
