  • The Celtic Curse is the nickname for Haemochromatosis which refers to both the prevalence and incidence of the disease in the Irish population but also because the genes have been detected as far back as the Neolithic era in a woman who lived back then just south of Omagh. Her body was exhumed over 5 years ago as were two men who lived on Rathlin Island in the Bronze age. All were found to have the Celtic gene."
To detect whether a person has too much iron in the blood a ferritin or blood test can be carried out. High levels of ferritin can indicate an iron storage disorder. The typical ranges are 20 to 500 nanograms per millilitre in men; while 20 to 200 in women. Shenagh's first reading was 316.
That's considered high. In order to release the iron around a pint of blood is withdrawn. For some people this can mean attending hospital several times a year until the iron levels are reduced.

The phlebotomy/vivisection not only removes some iron, but the body the uses stored iron to generate new red blood cells. I was fortunate to be diagnosed 20 years ago at age 36.

My mom had it, had to have her blood taken after menopause. I have one of the genes so I’m a carrier but don’t have it.

many people with liver issues I have come across recently have had remissions when going carnivore.
so. either they had toxic overload of carbohydrates (super hard on your entire body, but the liver shows issues first), or some nutrient deficiencies was met by consuming healthier cuts of ruminant meat.
blood letting has been done in the past, and works because the body is always trying to set levels wherever they need to be.
the veg/an crowd the last 100+ years has shown the rest of us all the downsides to a high plant based diet.
many conditions are due to this overload of ‘ healthy fruits, veggies ‘ myth. especially bad are oxalate and lectins .. grains ruin us all. even our pets.
the a.Egyptians knew the harms of grains .. doing autopsy, fixing dental issues with gold. 5,000 years ago.
chromosomes matter, but our foods matter even more, as well as exposure to sunshine on bare skin, proper sleep. safe place to live. etc.
the red cross always needs donor blood, but … if you have this condition, try eliminating carbs especially to isolate problems u have experienced. in some cases 44 years.
resolved. in less than a year (eliminating allergic foods).
