In theory, it’s a good way to get some extra value from semi-bluffs without isolating against only better hands. Otherwise IP gets to bluff very cheaply with a bunch of Qx and Jx hands Works even better in practice if opponent is raising a bunch of Kx trying to get a cheaper showdown
@@shaiguelman3468 idk sometimes it seems that another computer opened up with GTO wizard would be pretty useful…wonder why NOBODY would do such a thing….🤔😏
That's crazy just yesterday I was looking for any coverage of DavyJones on this channel and couldn't find any! Glad this exceptional player finally got featured.
Great video. In my humble opinion, the folds these top players find are more impressive than the bluffs. Even though the bluffs they find are still amazing. Thanks for uploading this. All the best!
Immediate thumb up when i see the new vidz uploaded and....as usual great content ! I've watched the entire FT before you analyse those players performance and yes, this is even more impressive when you show the gto solutions according so well to what they did ! And the heads-up in the end is damn crazy : Davyjones crushed is opponent so indecently
It's a huge video again. I really enjoyed watching it. I miss you every day, but I think it will take a really long time to make a video like this. Thank you always.
holy shit, linus is disgustingly good at the game of poker in every sense of the word. playing against him would be terrifying lol. great video as always 2CC! Still hope that you release some more merch soon cause I would buy insanely fast
I used to crush in like 2008-2010 at 6 Max deep games. When Linus was comming up he was insane to play against. He was the only player at 250-500nl (250bb tables) that absoloutely destroyed my ass. Needless to say he kept going up quick from there.
That 3bb bet by Lonis on the river is just a sick little play. Crazy how these guys can be “specialist” in one thing but find some pretty sick spots to showcase their knowledge of other disciplines.
@@johndawgsmoke1245 Np. Exactly because of being a chop board is what makes it crazy. It usually takes really big sizes (and a range to back it up) to bluff people off of chops, for many reasons. Fold vs 50% size escapes my mind, but then again I don't play mtts.
Halfway through and I feel like the theme is ICM? Mainly how important your tournament life is especially when there's shorter stacks. The risk premium is so intense playing against the chip leader so you need to be extremely selective when going to war
I think the flop raise by Davyjones with 6d6x on A85ddx flop really needed to be analyzed at least a little bit, especially considering he's up against Mikita who's UTG. Is that bluff meant to exploit fish2013's generally tight style of play?
no it is standart type of bluff hands, on A high boards with 2 low cards you wanna bluff with underpair (which unblock folding range) or bottom pairs (which block 2p, sets)
@@mattsmith9968 Would still be nice to see the charts for spots like UTG v LP since this type of move is defo underutilized at lower stakes and ace-high flops are going to be easier to find exploits to use at low stakes than most other textures.
Definitely... Keep in mind that this is only a hand picked sample. You'll find enough spots (a lot of them covered on this channel) that are not solver approved
Hi, might be a silly question but how are you able to see every hand even when players are not going to showdown? Is the site who runs the MTT releasing the whole game after the game has finished?
I haven't looked at the exact reason, but it has to be because some JcX hands in Leq's would be betting more often when they're straights (or getting to the river more often - for example one could imagine JcTc being cbet more often OTF as it has a bdfd). And/Or because JhX hands are used more often as bluffs in theory. That might not always hold true in practice for everyone however.
Can’t believe people need solvers to help make decisions. By just playing the game and getting experience should be enough to help you make optimal decisions.
@@2CardConfidence that makes sense.. I am very curious about how to think about range construction properly here. I asked some questions on your discord.
What am I missing about the J9hearts fold from Davy? He plays the board and is calling for a chop? The solver output must be wrong for that hand, has way too many calls imo. It’s literally a call to chop with giant risk premiums… I don’t get it
common approach from theese top players as you mentioned mid video, respecting icm, winning less chips but also loosing less. so with your sum up, respecting the mtt survival.
11:44 i mean 2x overbet quite “ez” fold legenden has to overbluff a ton i dont think allin is good there he blocks all the board what are you getting value from
Using such a software would create patterns and trends in their play that are actually quite detectable by game integrity departments. Furthermore, the time pressure in online tournaments makes the actual practicality of rta quite low.
@@bradensmith22 You mean by playing, scarily close to GTO, which they all seem to do….? And couldn’t you just have the solver run against another ‘GTO’ player’s range and then modify the result on the fly based on how close your opponent plays to it?
@bkb04g If you took the time to analyze all of the hands played by these players, you would find that they don't actually play scarily close to gto. In some spots of course they do, but those are just the spots that they have studied very well. If they are all playing an rta assisted strategy, and they are all following gto, then they would all be playing a close to perfect Nash equilibrium and no one's decisions would ever deviate from perfect and they would all be playing EXACTLY the same way. Obviously pokerstars would notice this. Any deviation from this strategy in order to conceal their actions would cause them to lose massively to the others. So, we have 3 possibilities: they are all cheating, none are cheating and some are cheating. For the reasons listed above, it would be very obvious to the site operator if all or if some are cheating. That only leaves us one one option: none are cheating.
You just show hands when they folded good. Watched the whole FT replay and they kind of play antiGTO NIT strategy.. they probably have their own reasons to be so tight ...

Insanely high level. Must be fun finding these Lines in real time as intuitive. That’s so high level of game sense
True! 20 years ago much of their plays would be considered fishy. Solvers legitimized some seemingly very crazy lines.

Yes exactly, Pokerstars releases replays with all hole cards for these big MTTs. But only for the final table

Why there isn’t any overbets in MTTs like we see in cash games? Only because of shallower stacks and tourney life? Are there any other reasons?
Yes short stack specifically are the most compelling reason. You definitely see some overbets when stacks are deeper
