As a Rise fan I’m kinda not surprised that Donnie has the most kills across the series. Rise Donnie is just the only one who wouldn’t be ashamed of it. He’s definitely did the old “acid barrel” disposal method
He was ready to go lethal with his own dad because he stole the Turtle Tank then when the others said no he asked if he could go 'semi-lethal'. Also the weapons he put on the turtle tank totally killed some people.
It’s actually kinda funny how Donnie has killed the most when he was originally explained to be a “people-loving hippie” in the TMNT game made in like 1999
Hate to burst your bubble, there was no TMNT game in 1999. You might be referring to the 1989 arcade game. There, Donnie was referred as "the hippest machine freak".
Donatello actually kills someone in Batman v. TMNT. He shoots a manhole cover at a guy in a crane, and the whole thing gets obliterated. Donnie killed a man
As far as I’m aware every single Version of Donnie has actively or passively been the reason someone has died, Don is blood thirsty in every single iteration (apart from maybe Mutant Mayhem, but he still has time)
In defense of the Rise turtles, a fair number of the foot ninjas that they fight are actually just magic origami. But Rise Donnie has for sure killed people, whether it’s shown on screen or not

In Japanese culture (from what I heard), purple represents death. Hence why Rayman at one point was given a blue torso. So Donatello being the bloodiest may come as no surprise.
But the Fugitoid got the biggest kill count out of all characters in this show. He killed at least several hundred thousands if not millions of last Triceratons on their spaceship basically committing complete genocide.
@lonelypotato5352 well, he only wanted to kill that mob Don Vizioso who tried to chop him after kidnapping. But then again, Donnie realized it wouldn't be satisfying.
I am so not surprised that Donnie has an insane kill count. He's a mad scientist, he's a good guy who is frequently pushed to his limits. He's COLD BLOODED in like. every version lmao. I also love everybody's shock at how dark the 2012 TMNT show got. They were very comic book-y and TV allowed a lot more violence as the series went on. To anyone who has only seen one version of the turtles (like Rise or the Michael Bay movies) I STRONGLY recommend checking out other versions! My personal favorites are the IDW comics, the 2007 movie, the 2003 series, and the 2012 series!!!
You forget when 2012 Mikey killed three horse riders with shurikens during the Usagi Yojimbo crossover. I know they were dog people, but if alien dinosaurs count, then so do samurai doggos, god dammit!
Ik I’m late but geez rise Donnie in one episode was willing to risk his father’s life just to use his cannon to kill a villain in a van (splinter was in that van.)
Didn't in 03 Donnie and Michelangelo murder garbageman in season 2? Granted he was supposed to survive to appear in the cancelled episode but as we know it never saw the light of day and therefore isnt cannon and since we never see garbageman after the junklantis episode i think we can say he died as it was heavily implied
I'd say it's safe he's dead. Also there's an episode in the 2003 cartoon too I remember where you hear Leo cracking a goon's neck. Ain't no coming back from that lol.
So how I understand it, I think the Shredder is actually two living beings - Saki, and the armor. When the armor took Draxum's life force and spit him out, it came alive and had flesh and stuff. Saki is tricky because it seems like what happened is he never really died, karai temporarily yoinked his soul from his body and trapped it with her, so when Saki returned to the armor, it was a living thing, so he was pretty much just as alive as he was before. But even if we cut out all that extra stuff the Shredder was alive and the turtles made him not alive so 🤷♀️
Actually shredder wasn’t a live being he was cursed into a dead sprite and they had to destroy the dark armor and free their ancestor from the prison it was locked in so it wasn’t murder
The Michael bay version of the tmnt brothers must be fans of the spider man 3 scenes were peter is wearing the black suit during his fighting scenes like putting sand mans face in the train or blowing up Harry's face
You missed a triceraton death in Fast Forward where they launched him out into space and he's just free-floating forever that one's dead. Also you missed a couple in 2012 like Donnie taking out some Mafia guys as well as the several times they sliced up some Kraang. Granted most of the time we see them crawl away after their Android bodies get sliced but there are a few moments in the show where they slice in the stomach area and those guys are definitely dead so you got to count those too
There was definitely more to rise that you missed. All those paper ninjas are living beings we find that out when Raphael turns one of them to their side so every time they kill a origami foot that's murder. Also I think they casually kill some people as a joke in a few episodes because it's okay to do it in a kid show as long as it's played off for Laughs that's the loophole. So I'm pretty sure there's a lot more in Rise that you could use. Also they technically killed Shredder but he's kind of already dead and after they kill him we see his ghost come back so he's not like really dead I think. But besides he was evil and trying to kill them so they were Justified
IDW Turtles have NO qualms about killing a lot of the time, especially when it comes to Foot. Mikey doesn't have because they decide to kill (although he tries not to a lot), he leaves because Splinter takes over the Foot Clan who are assassins for hire.
Leo and Donnie defin. have. They can both be so murder-y sometimes. Like sometimes, they can be so non-murder-y. But other times, oh boy, can they be violent and murder-y. Love them.

Donnie uses a staff, blunt object. Not gonna kill unless someone's hit over the head. Mikey and Raph use defense weapons....Leo just uses straight up swords. Like, those are murder weapons. You can't just bonk someone, he shivs people.
2007 Leo killed those guys in the forest for terrorizing innocent people. A boy saw him in a tree after it was done and he was dubbed “The Ghost of the jungle”.
