I would like to point out that light can actually eliminate scooby as mentioned in the death note that any person whose name is written in the death note shall pass. However you are forgetting that light can control the persons actions before they pass away. Thus meaning he can have the gang get rid of scooby. To which I don’t think scooby would be able to hurt in order to save himself. Please look further into this theory!!!

I find the idea that Light gets taken down by scooby to be so funny, because I'm just imagining light thinking nothing of their dog companion if he doesn't know scood can talk, and then at the end when he's found out, he's questioning how he was fooled and from the shadows scooby reveals himself with some dramatic one liner and Light only has time to yell "The dog could talk" before the normal ending happens

The real question is: can the Death Note kill a dog?

I'm really only half way into the video, and i have a few qualms with the logic here First of all, who's to say L couldn't be just as smart as velma or smarter, but they just lack anything substantial to compare him to? Second, why would they only look in Kanto? They dont even know for sure that Kira is in japan, let alone Kanto, which also leads me to the fact that he probably wouldn't talk about anything incriminating out in the open where people like the Mystery gang could hear him, even if they did manage to brush by him at some point against all odds. Third, why would they be able to see Ryuk? The fact that they could see the other ghosts but not Deadman just proves the point that in their universe there are ghosts that can be seen and ghosts that cant be seen.

Ryuk really does look like a Scooby Doo villain if you think about it.

Making a prediction before I even watch the video: Scooby and Shaggy manage to dunce their way directly into Light when he's busy being Kira, and Light, completely caught with his pants down, is unable to get rid of them because he can't understand Scooby well enough to make out anyone's names.

I genuinely will never understand the hate for Scrappy, he really isn't as annoying as everyone thinks he is.

Hold up just a moment. You're saying that just because the gang is able to see ghosts and demons and the like in their own media, they'd be able to see the shinigami, Ryuk? Even though the canon of Death Note says you can only see them if you touch the death note that belongs to that God of Death? It doesn't matter how many ghosts and ghoulies that Mystery Inc has seen in the past, one or one million, when there is a very specific reason provided for why or why not people can see the shinigami. You shouldn't be discounting the possibility for the sake of exploring a what if scenario, you should be throwing it out immediately because they wouldn't be able to see him unless they come in contact with the death note.

You're glazing Mystery Inc -the iterations of batman Velma has been compared to has only normal genius level feats, remember there are different versions of him, and the ones Velma has been compared to aren't his strongest. Not to mention Velma isn't as smart as those versions of Batman, only comparable in some aspects. L definitely clears there. At most, she'll manage to narrow down. -the death note has specific requirements to even see Shinigamis, so even if they can see the undead, ryuk is more of an invisible god than a ghost, so it should follow the rules of having to touch the death note. -Rem would likely get suspicious of Daphne, follow her, and end up killing her due to her protective nature of Misa, and maybe the entire gang also, even if it results in death for her too.. If she just killed Daphne, it wouldn't kill her yet since it would unironically bring Misa closer to death since it would set off the Scooby gang and cause them to swoop in. Which then Rem and kill and finally die. -fred likely wouldn't notice the special mechanism light has set up for his traps, Fred isn't known for immediately looking at a trap and knowing the ins and outs of it, but rather having some level of interaction before actually uncovering it. It's likely Fred would blow it. They still have win cons but it's much less than you've stated. The likely scenario is them possibly losing a few gang members but still catching Light. The worst scenario is Light winning and the best scenario is catching light with only 1 loss. (likely being Fred or Daphne, maybe Shaggy if light manages to manipulate that information out of him which is somewhat possible.)

The only thing you missed is even if the death note would work on Scooby Light STILL couldn’t kill Scooby because Scooby is a nickname his full name is Scoobert and the only people that know that would be ether dead or in America with light having no way to get that info

Saying that not every member of the team is all that sharp is kinda a dis . Velma is of course just as intelligent as batman but Daphne and Fred never seem to get their flowers essentially being MacGyver , and Rambo . And shaggy and Scooby of course have their moments when they aren't just stumbling into things . Velma started the mystery machine in its dune buggy form with just a hair pin , a hair dryer and a water bottle , entered what was basically the mk tournament upon request , turned a broom closet into a 4 start hotel room in a matter of second during a blizzard and that probably not even everything . Velma solved the mysteries but Daphne's knowledge of textile and trends makes her super good a cating smaller detale and major clues and profiling that Velma by herself just isn't gonna catch. Even Velma either through knowing him for so long or the fact that she's the true arrogant one out of the bunch seems to look right over the fact that Fred has tricked out the mystery machine far beyond anything the batmobile is capable of , and just the same way he enjoys traps getting out of tight spots is his second passion . That's even mentioning the fact that if Velma doesn't solve a mystery it was probably him

I feel like them being able to see ryuk is a bit of a reach considering that the rule is clearly stated from the start that the only people who can see shinigamis are people who have touched the notebook

Many lay claims that Leo is the oldest because he is usually depicted as leader of the group and that was how he was written for because I have seen a few versions of the TMNT franchise myself and Raph always looks to be the oldest of the turtles to me; sure leadership seems to always land on the oldest in Chinese and Japanese traditions but, I have a theory that Raph was always the oldest brother but, the role of leadership usually lands on Leonardo; so in conclusion Raph is the oldest despite not being leader in the usual timeline, this would explain half of Raph's frustrations with Leo in the 90's filmography versions and the 80's tv series version because Raph believes that he should be leader since he is the oldest. Just because Leo was originally written as the oldest turtle does not mean that writers were fully straight about the high standing between the two turtles; With writers for Disney and Pixar (for instance) we get the same kind of problem from their claims in what ideas they had in mind that was to be put into the movies but was not well used, because they won't explain(I watched a RUclips video about the Toy Story movie(s) over the question about What Andy Davis' father's name was). I am not looking for cannon order described in any versions of the franchise, I am looking at it from a more realistic stand point if they were to exist in real life, and come to think of it, while it is true that Mikey has a child like personality to him but, I think it would make sense that Donny would be the last turtle to hatch since he is the most cautious of the two younger siblings and the only one of the four of them that is inside his head most of the time. Just because 1 sibling is more like a child does not always make that sibling the youngest, there are rare cases in which the older sibling has a child-like set of mind. Mystery Inc has a 100% solve rate for their mysteries so hard to say they wouldnt have found the clues needed to pin it on Light. I think their attempt would end with a scene mirroring the death of L but it's Velma. "But...I was...right." "Tough luck, Velma. Die knowing that I am in fact Kira." "Jinkies."
