you see a lot of rap artists struggle to keep up with pace of performance live.... not Young MC. He killed it. Still one of the best songs in the genre to be written and performed, iconic to this day. India was great, but would have been amazing to see Crystal Blake there performing too.
This is the only truly live hip hop performance I”ve ever seen, with every track performed completely live by a real band, no prerecorded anything. Unreal. In hindsight, YoungMC was probably the most influential musician to my musical ear. I put the first few albums on and realized, all the funky basslines I thought I came up with over the years, are all on is records. fml
For those who remember the song it's what we call in the business a monster a beast , to this day any party anywhere you go you hear that intro that baselines forget about it game over
I love how the bass and the guitar sound in this timeless gem!! The scene in uncle buck where this song is playing in the background is one of my favorites just because of this song.
WONDERFUL!!! I completely jammed to "this peppy little number" tonight!!! I've loved this song a long-ass time and came across this live version and it is AMAZING!!
Used to like Young but all he does in his songs is talk about how great he is. It gets old fast. He is a one hit wonder and the rest of his albums bombed.
I don't know if this guy was anything like me, but I fucked up a lot of ass gettin'. You know why? Cuz I didn't bust a move😂😂 I ruined the whole shit!! Lmfao❤ Wasn't funny then though. DAMNIT!!!
why, oh WHY does Schaffer *always* have to stick that cheesy Hammond G3 organ patch into literally *everything* ? I'm sorry, but a Hammond G3 does *NOT* belong on any hardcore hip hop or rap tracks.
Dude shows up with a chick and a 5 dollar tambourine and puts on a performance as good as anything I’d pay money for these days. And I’m a Metalhead!
🤘
Baby girl is jammin back there! 😃😃😄
her doing the running man in the back is everything
RAW no auto tune, just RAW.
She’s just killin it! Endea! She’s fine like great wine!
Yup...Smooth and full of class💯
Absolutely
That chick has that god energy ❤
I was thirteen when I watched this! I was making out with my girlfriend 😂. 32 years later we just celebrated our daughters 30th birthday 🤣.
Wait what. That means you had her at 15..? Bro did more than make out 🤣💀
@@Disco33Stu Notice he didn't mention anything about his 30th anniversary.
Awesome. ❤
Loved this song and still do! ❤
You got married at 15? Yeah, bust it.
World's Most Dangerous Band crushing it as usual. Sid, Will, Anton, and that Canadian cat from Thunder Bay.
The live band is rockin !!! Everyone is live ......... busting dat move!
That bass line !
Flea wrote this bassline
And was paid only $200, this was a number 1 song and won a Grammy...
Sounds amazing and he's playing with a live band, not a DJ. So great
Man, this song sounds fabulous live! IMO one of the best hip hop songs ever!
N'Dea Davenport, pure talent.

*N'Dea
You can tell Young MC is having fun with this song and playing with the sound of it live.

Smart guy, great tune, the band was having a blast!
This song is still a hit at every DJ dance event I go to.
Wow awesome. I remember being in 7th grade when this came out and wishing I knew how to dance to this. That girl was killing it.
It amazing how much changing the instrumentalists and mix changes the song. It's very different from the studio version.
Legendary performance
Outstanding! Even better with a band 🎶 lil gal stole the show! Thanks!
Love it!! High energy! Bring it back! It’s 2022!

Live is so much better than lip-sync. Great job!
Man how cool they play it live
I love how the bass and the guitar sound in this timeless gem!! The scene in uncle buck where this song is playing in the background is one of my favorites just because of this song.
Great performance!
WONDERFUL!!! I completely jammed to "this peppy little number" tonight!!! I've loved this song a long-ass time and came across this live version and it is AMAZING!!
Can’t find anything on his live background singer. She’s a powerhouse!
N'dea Davenport she sang with UK jazzfunk band The Brand New Heavies
That is talent. Live band and vocals with actual lyrics that tell a story….
Wow! He's awesome. 👍
Great Song!
Still holds up as a great banger
That's a live set too. Dope. The performance of this on Arsenio is good as well.

Young MC now known as Old MC.
"Young" is actually his last name.
You don't realize how important that bass line is until Lee finally comes back in with it...
久しぶりに聴きましたが、すげーcoolでいいじゃないですか!

In the City ladies look pretty guys tell jokes so they can seem witty..
Used to like Young but all he does in his songs is talk about how great he is. It gets old fast. He is a one hit wonder and the rest of his albums bombed.
Where's flea
Came here from Fortnite. (I'm 33 years old...)
No flea no party
It doesn’t work without Flea.
Seriously, fleas riff made this song
MC Hammer called, he wants his lobster pants back.
Weren't they called parachute pants?
@@planetX15I called them Omar the tent maker pants
Does he have any other songs lol
Yes, his Stone Cold Rhymin album is great
Did he borrow MC Hammer's Genie Pants?
EVERYBODY had those back then.
It's not Flea on stage. Who is the bassist on stage?
The Letterman show Band's bass player
I don't know if this guy was anything like me, but I fucked up a lot of ass gettin'. You know why? Cuz I didn't bust a move😂😂 I ruined the whole shit!! Lmfao❤ Wasn't funny then though. DAMNIT!!!
