- HEY FOLKS ! In this video we're Comparing two saturation 500 series modules from Looptrotter and HRK Audio ! These two are pretty similar but you will see how different they can be and maybe choose a favorite one as I did.

Thanks for doing this Jim, I have the loopteotter monster and use the harmonic circuitry on that with compressor bypasses to do the same thing
I don’t have the h/l shelving and have to sc an eq to get the same thing done
It was interesting- I get more 3rd order I think with mine
Cool review, hrk seems to glue the track at the end nicely 🧪🧪🧪 and, yeah, nice grit on drums

Salut ! Super merci ;) Malheureusement je ne peux pas te répondre, je connais très mal ce module ! Ceci dit Looptrotter sont assez maitres dans cet art donc ça doit être de la super came !

Hi ! The A/B Module is DIY :) a discrete A/B with almost nothing in the path but resistors. That's why you can't find it anywhere

Great demo! I actually liked the Looptrotter better for how smooth and dynamic friendly it sounded. I am looking for a nice subtle saturation.

Some might have noise issue maybe. A friend of mine could hear his "hissing" a bit when he was close to the rack's power supply but never experienced any noise in the recordings whatsoever :)
At this price point it's a no brainer i guess ! And if you don't like it, you can still return it !
