    Putting it on a speaker stand makes a world of difference in sounds. I just hooked up a 10" monitor to the line out. Man it turns this thing into a sound monster. I also have a 12" powered speaker if needed.
    Fora nice carry case Walmat has storage containers. A Sterilite 7.5
    gallon container fits it like it was made for it.

    Brought mine 23 months ago, a Jazz Guitarist, doesn't match up with my Gibson 335 1963 model ( Humbucker Pickups) more suited to P90's, not the fault of the Bose. Run volume level up to around 70% use a Line 6 MM4 Modulation pedal, I've been playing for 60 years, had all the big short leg long arm heavy tube amps, this little Bose is brilliant especially tone wise, battery powered, super light, patch it into the PA or add another self powered speaker cab. Typical bose, great quality and sound, use your ears.

  • @alpoulin1

    It is ok for LIGHT PA applications. Acoustic guitar and some vocal, but as with anything this small, it reaches its limits pretty quickly. Sounds good, very hi-fi yes, but not for DJ use - trust me on this one.

    • @officialWWM
      @officialWWM 7 лет назад +5

      alpoulin1 it's for musicians bro, not Djs!

    • @alpoulin1
      @alpoulin1 7 лет назад +5

      Darren Turner Bose indicates it can be used for DJ applications, but this would be more as a ceremony or remote speaker. I tested/reviewed the unit myself and even for musicians it is extremely limited output wise. Putting vocals through the unit, it was way too easy to limit, especially considering its very high price. One of my DXR8s produces significantly more SPL without being even close to limit when I compared the two with a vocal mic plugged in. The Bose is cute and practical, but very limited in what it can put out quite simply...

    Performers want to hear what other performers sound like so they can gage , how the system will work for them. He’s not even talking through the system. Instead of sales people, have actual singers and performers review this system, or are you afraid it won’t measure up?
    How does it sound when both performers are channeling through it.

    Well🤔 I can't believe the hype around this speaker. After reading, listening and watching countless reviews about the Bose S1 pro plus I was just about to order one. My wise husband said not to buy anything I hadn't heard for myself. I had to travel 40+ miles to find a shop that sold them. What a muddy unclear sound it made and to make matters worse it was begining to distort the sound not even at full volume. Those of you who big this speaker up I can only say each to his own but I was less than impressed 🙄. They gave me a demo of a considerably cheaper but named brand product that was crystal clear and far louder. Will be ordering it Monday. My lesson for the day: always check it out for yourself and don't believe the hype.

    Why doesn’t Bose invest more into quality protective bags for their amazing speakers?
    The backpack for S1 pro is $160.00! No protective foam, no water resistance, and questionable stitching. It’s just a piece of clothing that collapses under it’s own weight.
    I wouldn’t feel comfortable putting it in the trunk with the rest my gear even if it was “wearing” the expensive backpack.
    For a company that doesn’t compromise the quality of their speakers… I’m completely baffled as to why they’ve taken an “at least it’s better than nothing” approach to their gig bags.

    Bose purposely built some limitations into this amplifier so that they can make a ton of extra money ! They made this unit so you can only use their extremely expensive batteries, which in return means that they have greatly inconvenienced you as a consumer! Bose could have easily built this amplifier so we could use external batteries such as lithium ion or a car battery or different power packs !
    I think we should never support companies that are constantly taking away our options and choices ! A company that cares about you and your options and not only about their greed and selfishness would have built-in the option for you to use Lithium-ion batteries or a car battery or a power pack.... xcetera !!!
    When are you consumers going to smarten up and stop putting up with anything and everything that these greedy companies are throwing at us !
    STOP BUYING PRODUCTS FROM COMPANIES THAT DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU ! Let them know that we are sick and tired of them taking our choices and options away from us, and we're no longer going to buy their products unless they start giving us what we want and what we need !!!!

    I am a Bose fan BUT, I would rather use a Roland Street Cube EX than this Bose product....
    Better battery life by a long shot, more effects and options, runs off industry standard non
    proprietary batteries, can be used with more instruments, comes with an app to use it to record, headphone out, it's cheaper, and from what I hear in this video through headphones the Roland sounds better.
    I have used a Bose L1M2 since they first came out and LOVE it, but this is a miss for me.

      I have some experience with sound due to my job.... Also i am listening through my audio interface and studio monitors (the linear response kind not the KRK kind.. :-) . The recording here sounds like a decent mic has been used. Of course you can hear the balance. Yes it is not the same as being there but after having watched dozens of reviews and videos youtube quality is sufficient to have a first taste despite people complaining about it. Bose also has the tendency to give bass an extra thump. I don`t know if they do it in order to impress people or if it just is their taste but i haven`t heard a linear response Bose speaker till today. All the computer speakers and portable bluetooth speakers have a blown up bass. And this reminds me of this sound signature. I am not saying it is super bad or anything, i just like linear more than this implemented loudness Bose, Jbl and the likes like to use. I am waiting for a test of the Korg Konnect to see how it performs. I also find the Bose way to expensive for what it is

      how do you rate this product thru you tube ? it's your shitty headphones jackass. As far as boomy bass it was at the halfway point which buy people who actually listen to music, is known as "flat" . as was Treble so you can go way higher and way lower. I will demo one but at 15 lbs. and a singer or guitar monitor and a Bluetooth connection not too damned bad.

      almost all if not all portable Bose speakers have an emphasis in the low end which by the way is no secret and is there in order to impress experts like you. And this speaker sounds like this. So experts like you can buy it. You might be right . My Sennheiser Hd 650 have an unreliable response and youtube 192 kbit is not enough to judge the tilt of a speaker. My God i hadn`t had a good lough like this for a long time. And you`re calling me a jackass. Oh man, thats too good to be true. Thank you. I needed a good lough for a long time now. Priceless :-)

      @@CrossoverClassic Because Bose is not a pro audio company , in the real sense. Aside from the 802, which lacked decent bass response, it has rarely been taken seriously by any production company. It has never been able to break into the pro audio market where companies like EV, QSc, RCF, and JBL sit. The industry just doesnt take them seriously enough. Also, they are bad "Bang for Buck". Over priced! That said, there are plenty of "installation companies" that will "sell" their product to restaurants and bars.. But thats cos the clients know the bose brand from hifi and dont know that its over rated and over priced in the pro audio space of the market.
