    I liked the tiles, the mirror, the dark blue and the art but I think those curtains are gonna soak up the moisture and mold over time and the light blue walls really needed something to break it up.
    That’s just me 🤷🏼‍♂️ otherwise it was great

    I am very interested in the acrylic art standoff. May I ask how did you attach the art work to the acrylic? Did you sandwich the art between two acrylic sheet? Or did you use some type of glue to attach the art to the sheet? If it is the latter, what kind of glue did you use? Is the glue still clear when it dried? Thanks

    • @lowes
      @lowes  9 лет назад

      +tsuweicherng Gwen didn't use glue, art is held in place by the two pieces of acrylic. Thanks for watching our video.

    1. The valence and the curtain are bit much and the moisture will destroy the fabrics.
    2. I think the Edison bulbs may hurt your eyes.
    3. The mirror treatment might also be risky because moisture might make those mirror pieces to get undone.

    Can you tell me the blue you used to paint the cabinets? also, the directions for making that red stool? I clicked on the learn more about this project and didn't see either of the two things I wanted to do.

    • @lowes
      @lowes  9 лет назад +3

      +Heather C The cabinets are painted HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams "Dress Blues".
      The stool is super simple; a 15" pine round top (low.es/1MGDmqW) and three 5.5" tapered legs (low.es/1NJCvUX) attached with angle plates (low.es/1NR2RWT). It's painted Olympic Interior Satin "Merlot".

  • @Tapping83
    @Tapping83 7 лет назад

    Was the tile put over the old tile? If yes, is there a tutorial somewhere on how to fo this?

    • @lowes
      @lowes  7 лет назад +2

      Tapping83 we don't have a video specifically on tile over tile. Couple of things you always have to consider is what you''re tiling over - deep patterns & grooves can be tough - and what you're putting over it . Be sure the tile can be installed over existing tile first. Finally, remember you're going to be adding thickness to the floor so double check any door clearances, moldings, etc. will still work with the additional height. Thanks for watching.

    • @jordandrexler9559
      @jordandrexler9559 7 лет назад +9

      theres absolutely nothing wrong with that...im sure to be used, one would put a liner on the inside so the fabric doesnt get wet....

    • @jermiinus
      @jermiinus 7 лет назад +6

      but what about all the moist in the air?

    • @jordandrexler9559
      @jordandrexler9559 7 лет назад +7

      The moisture won't really effect the curtains, especially if they're made of polyester....polyester is water-resistant

    What material was the cabinet made out of - wood or laminate? My cabinet looks like wood but is more like plastic to me but I think it is some kind of laminate and I don't know if I can paint it - but I'd sure like to.

    • @jordandrexler9559
      @jordandrexler9559 7 лет назад

    • @geministargazer9830
      @geministargazer9830 7 лет назад

    So the 3M command strips are that strong?

    • @bleedinghearthero
      @bleedinghearthero 8 лет назад

      The packaging will tell you how much weight each strip can hold, but I've had picture frames fall off the wall before when it shouldn't have, so I personally would not take the risk with a mirror.....

    • @rneustel388
      @rneustel388 8 лет назад

    • @jordandrexler9559
      @jordandrexler9559 7 лет назад

    • @geministargazer9830
      @geministargazer9830 7 лет назад

      It depends which strips you are using, you want the heavy duty kind of strips that would stick your rear view mirror to your windshield on a car (yep, those are 3m)
