  • I think the most simple description of spiritual enlightenment is presented in this video. The words 'spiritual enlightenment' are unraveled to a meaningful description that everyone can relate to.
No religions, no dogmas, no doctrines, no special way of living (like Buddhism), no meditation, no esoteric subjects or whatsover is required to understand spiritual enlightenment, and live by it. All that is required is your common sense and you paying attention to the information that your senses provide you.

Genius! Socrates said the beginning of wisdom is the definition of terms. You nailed it.

Haha. Pretty fat! (Best wel vet!)
If you ask me Zen is about being present here and now. And leading a natural human life.
Both of them fit this definition pretty well!
Especially the last bit, the natural human life. You could say that the main part of the typical zen literature is there to force or shift or trick or nudge practitioners back into their natural human life. Away from difficult notions about enlightenment.
Nourishing the body was also the first thing that came up for me when you showed the final definition.
What a normal life we have! What a natural things we do! What an enlightened life we have!
