Goten has been treated like a joke (literally) for years. It’s time for him to receive some serious character development and the realization of his fighting potential. He’s Goku’s second son for cryin’ out loud…there’s NO reason why he shouldn’t be leveling up like his father and older brother.
I agree, we really need to see some serious character development for Goten and trunks and especially Gotenks. we need a serious storyline where they're not treated like the class clowns in every scene.
I agree they should push some more story for Goten and Trunks, focusing on Gotenks. It does make sense that those two have not been pushed too hard in leveling up, because Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan are around to take care of the problem. Basically like real life, A father makes a successful business and now the bloodline will be less and less like their father, normally. If they do focus more on Goten and Trunks, I really hope they focus on pushing what the fusion can do and make some cool stuff around that.

I feel that they should handle goten and trunks, as well as gohan, piccolo, and pan, as standalone series. That way they can focus on proper character development for these characters and do proper world building. And after that they can reincorporate them into the main story. Trying to tell a story with all of the saiyans and piccolo and new enemies takes time and it doesn’t seem like they’re willing to invest that type of energy into it. If this is true, I’d definitely watch a standalone goten and trunks movie
Im here for more minor characters getting the spotlight to shine. My only complaint with DBS Super hero was the fact that piccolo had to wish to be stronger. I feel like it would've been better if Piccolo also got that Super Saiyan treatment where he unlocks it by himself through some sort of awakening.
I honestly don't see Trunks and Goten gaining the "Beast" transformation mostly because the "Beast" Transformation is an extension of Gohan's "Ultimate" Transformation. I honestly see them either gaining some kind of "rage" transformation or they eventually obtaining SS Red/SS Blue themselves.
Bout time Goten got a front seat as an mc. Trunks had enough shine and they gave Gohan and piccolo their flowers so I'm looking forward to seeing Goten carry the story bit.

DBS SH wasn't controversial at all. there have been several films that didn't star goku and vegeta. SH was a perfectly fine film, it wasn't supposed to be part of some grand story it's a solo film intended to show gohan and piccolo levelling up as well as test a new animation style.
