The tan/camel interior is my favorite-I’ve bought cheap tan interior CVPIs just to swap out the black charcoal interior.
The tan is too difficult to find in junkyards on the east coast and when I find one it’s trashed😡
Sometimes I can find a Grand Marquis most but not everything interior wise is the same.
One of my cars are getting a tan Grand Marquis leather interior swap.
Only CVPIs I’ve seen on the east coast that had tan interiors are the black Florida FHP and the brown and arizona beige sheriffs department cars(AL,GA,NC,VA,NH).
I’ve seen white cars with them but still rare-the 4 2011s I “accidentally” won the bid on had decent tan interiors.
    Few more features to note:
The option for matching rear seat fabric as the front versus the standard vinyl.
    Power driver’s seat.
The random presence of lumbar switches on the front seat.
2011 had larger headrests and if you hit the power locks and close the door, the parking lights flash once.
The seat belt buckles are more “rounded” on the 2009+ years.
The one telltale giveaway to spot a cop in a SAP is the 17”police package wheel covers.
Cruise control is another random option as I’ve seen loaded cars without it🤔

Oh definitely. Both my beige and titanium had vinyl rear seats. My agency I work for had 3 sets of brand new matching cloth rear pull outs from 2011 we put in storage and never used replacing them with plastic seats when the cars were getting outfitted for service. They gave them to me since we’ve retired all of ours.

Back in the day, some of the Orange County NC Sheriff's Department Crown Vics were dark brown with the light camel interior.

I'm glad you detailed the differences with the years of the SAP. I thought the paint chipped off the moldings on my 2009 SAP. I almost made a HUGE mistake thinking it needed to get repainted, not knowing it came like that. Thank you.

At some point, i believe the location of the lumbar adjustment changed as well. For 2011, it's on the front of the seat while other years had it on the side

Really learned alot from this one especially for someone getting in to panthers. Does flex fuel really help with gas from my understanding not the best on gas. Is it legal to leave the “police interceptor” logo on car.

@@Mrnormalsense Flex is definitely cheaper although it burns faster. I don’t personally put any E85 in my vehicles just because I don’t think it’s good for it even if it is okay to use. The badge is legal because it’s what the vehicle is. Ford placed that on the car from factory, it is not an aftermarket installment.

@@CarolinaCrown98 very cool I trust your advice being an officer of the law. Interesting it burns faster good to know! Thanks! Looking forward to next video

Good point at the cushoning of the seats. And that takes me to the idea, to bring more sponge material under the fabric of the seat to have this effect in a 2006 model. Maybe it worked out. You think it's agood idea?

Oh it’s remarkable because they don’t tear period. I have the 2010 and under variant like you do in my daily driver. There’s a small cut in it already from the seat bolt where the top and bottom connect. It would be nice to do that myself. If I ever sell my 2009 black unit, I will definitely replace it with a 4th 2011 haha.

@@CarolinaCrown98 I disassembled my driver seat because i want to wash the covers since they put it on in 2006. In this process i see very serious damage on the frame and had more work i was willing to do on that seat in the first place. But after this video i am going to do some more work on it!

Stone Grey is my favorite interior color. But here in Vegas LVMPD used all the tan camel interior colors so that's pretty much all we got for crown vic interior color options loll. All 3 of my vics have the same interior color

Nice one! Cheers from Germany. A question about FlexFuel. While Ford started the badging in 2009, what was the first model year, that really could run on E85 without damaging the engine. I have a 2007 P71 and was wondering the whole time.

It's not just the headrests either in the 2011 seats. The entire upper seat frame is different. The headrests posts are in a different location and a different diameter, so you can't even just swap the headrests or seat covers. Town car 2011 leather is also far superior to 2010 to 2003 unless yu get the cartier.

@@CREATINELUSTER Yeah! That’s correct. I spoke of those differences on the seat back.
