As someone who grew up in NJ, this is such a classic sight. These are very rare now but when I was younger they were everywhere.
It is easy to fix that front with some fiberglass and body filler...the car looks great 👍
Just to let y’all know, a 2010 is a P7B, it’s no longer P71 for 2010 and 2011. P71 VIN was discontinued after completion of 2009 model year. The last 2 years of 2010 and 2011 for Police Interceptors is P7B.
Thanks for stopping by! I will change the info, I was just so used to p71 that it just flowed. Thanks for clarifying!
Coming from a vic owner myself I dont think ive ever seen a crown vic owner actually go back to using goodyear rsas those things are like hocky pucks in the rain absolutely phenomenal in the dry but only in dry road conditions my personal choice for vic tires are the firestone firehawk all seasons
Thanks for stopping by! I’ve heard the same from few other Vic owners. They tried to maybe preserve the original specs and parts of the police interceptor but said the RSA tires were horrible the rain…good to know, thanks for the support.
I bought a new set of all season firehawk Firestone indy 500 white letter tires I put on a v8 thunderbird I used to have..... best tires on any car I ever owned!!! Went back to buy a second set but they were discontinued
As a panther owner and fan, hit those rust spots with Ospho 2 kill it now so it don't get out of control. Knock off any flakes, chunks, then Spray with brake cleaner then ospho. Rust gone. Nice ride. Also save oil and trans fluid from changes, mix 1 quart of each, plus 1 tube of grease, 1 wax ring toilet gasket. Heat and mix in old pot and brush, spray etc all inside frame and body. The wax we can buy has no petroleum at all in them. U never see a auto with a leak of any oils, fluids etc rusty. Been doing this for decades. No rust issues. Also clean then tape door drains, fill bottom with about 2 inces or so of baby, mineral oil, melted Vaseline, let sit few days then drain and save for later. Doing both I've not had to redo for years in rust belt. Save them. New autos suck.
Thank you so much for this incredible information. I'm going to do this
@@alljerseysmatter. We have the gr8 opportunity with SM to reach ppl, lift them up and help them. I choose to do that. All things I know or can do I learned from others. So if we keep helping each other well all be better for it, save time, $$, and live life more easily. So u have a gr8 wknd. If u have any questions, concerns please just say so. I will help if I can if not I'll find someone who can.
@jasonchristopher2977 amen 🙏🏼 thanks for stepping out! We learn from one another!
@jasonchristopher2977 You are amazing. Thanks again.
@@alljerseysmatter. Amazingly decent human. What we ALL should be. Just pass it on. We need more good ppl.
I do love the clean look on these cars and I am happy to hear a clean build like this will get some fresh paint $ to preserve it proper. My own 2010 had more of a history lets say than this car and I ended up using some rust converter and then black spray bedliner around the bottom edge and roof to keep the metal in check. It looks rough but I'm okay with that.
Like you said there's always something different on Crown Vics. My last Crown Vic had rubber floors and cruise control, spotlight, my current Crown Vic has carpet and no cruise control, no spotlight but it has a power driver seat.
Ye I have still yet to see same crown Vic twice! Thanks for sharing !
Pierce! You are without a doubt the guy who should be in any videos where Ford crown Vic P71s are the topic! Man you have got to be the foremost authority on crown Vic police interceptors without question and I’m thrilled to see you on RUclips! Get your own channel goin if you haven’t already.. you’ve helped me out plenty and I’ve enjoyed hangin with you cruisin our rides. Way cool. I mean, you know I gotta walk a tire-roastin real slow down the street every now and again, and I know you love the technical advanced driving aspects. Way to go, Pierce!
💯
The factory mufflers are highly restrictive and make the car overly quiet for my taste. If you remove them and don’t remove your 02 sensors you won’t get any lights and you’ll gain a little bit of power, especially on the low end. I’m putting a set of flowmaster mufflers under mine just to give it some tone
Right on Pierce,
What a breath of fresh air.
You too Art.
Well done.
-Chuck
Thanks Chuck !
You Need Michlin Defenders or Continental Contour tires best tires for the panthers
87 was the last year for the 2 door. I had 2 lse marquis
Ford tech here. RSA's are garbage, treadwear rating is terrible. I had them on my ex NJSP vic. Once they wore out I threw a set of Cooper Zeons on it and I couldn't be happier. Cool to see one of these former marked ones still around though (my car was an unmarked). State police still has a small handful of these in service yet believe it or not.
I’ve heard the same about the RSA cop tires before from a Vic owner who also had a retired unit… thanks for stopping by. I appreciate you.
My brother thanks soo much but 4 the price i can't complain 😊
Ac cuts out when trans kicks down over 30 mph it’s called pursuit mode then kicks back in after passing gear kicks out the tranny is built for aggressive shifting from the factory, my friend was mechanic at our SO service center and was sent to Ford oem proving grounds school to work on cvi
Thanks for stopping by and sharing the info…did not know it…
Very very clean p71!
In 2007 they discontinued the civilian model of the crown vic so the changed the designation from P71 to P7B
Oh I did not know that, thanks for stopping by!
Got rid of the spotlight to get rid of the "cop look" but the car has a push bar.
With the nations average driver being useless, it should be more of a standard feature
Nice condition.I have same rust on doors.
Thanks
Where do you get these cars from the police auction I guess. I’m looking for one I’m in Jersey
There’s a few sites you can go and check out. I can’t think of them at the moment but look up police auctions or government auctions.
Do the bumper tuck . U will thank me later
I have a 2009 Crown Vic P71 SAP from the NYS MTA you would love, 🙋🏻♂️3.55s fully loaded
Hey thanks for stopping by! Email me and let’s get it going! Lovewhatyoudrive28@gmail.com
Really nice. Do those vents work in the back like a taxi?
Thanks for stopping by, are you talking about the center console vents? I don’t think he has them hooked up. Would be a nice touch though!
@@LoveWhatYouDrive yes I was.
Ye would have been cool…hey pierce is there a way to hook up the vents for the console?
Fun fact none of the police pkg vics had door trim on the front doors
I thought it was kinda odd looking, at first I thought people would just take it off but leave the back ones on because there’s that molding hole…thanks for the info!
I always wonder why that was. Thanks
Take you some tin and place under that. Get you some fiberglass, and fill that in.. On my P74 I did this to mine. Mine is black. Every who had my P74, they upgraded it to a P71. New tranz high out put. And the rear end gear, they placed a one in it.. and I placed shocks on it.. Then I got me some police tires, and put on it. The car rides a bit on the rough side now. But whew~ it will take a curve like crazy!
I’m going to get one I may get a Florida car not one from up north
Good choice!
What do you think of this car with 500000 ?miles
If it’s a good deal and there’s some sort of record of previous maintenance and if it drives and starts than it’s a go. I bought a Lincoln with 402k mikes that still runs and drives really good. The I take manifold has been changed, plugs and other things so I had no issues buying it and now I drive it. You said 500k miles right?
You did a new cleaning job on that car. The headlights was something hard for me, for me to place new one's in it. Mines a 98. I just the other day placed a new alternator in mine. I did research on the alternator that came out of it, and it was the alternator that was in the car when the car was made. WOW! 25 year old alternator. whew~ :)
I got lucky! I just got a 2011 with only 2009 miles and 255 idle hours! Must be one of the lowest mileage retired police cars around!
Oh wow, did you say 2k miles? That’s insane
@@LoveWhatYouDrive never used on the road . It was a pit maneuver training car. Still had the original Firestone tires on it! I replaced them day one!
Noice
Is this unit still available?
Hi, what do you mean if it’s still available?
You’re not going to like the RSA’s. They are absolute trash when it’s wet out. I work at the Sheriff department and I have driven lots of these cars. I’ve also owned a bunch of these cars. Stay away from the RSA. I went with a BFGoodrich Advantage sport TA. They handle excellent in all conditions, including the snow.
I will Do Some Uber Jobs With My 2010 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. (Stock) in New York City. For 20 Hours And 5 Minutes.
Wow thanks For My Red Heart You Did A Great Job For today.
Are you in New York ?
Nice vic ............If you want to loose the cop effect ................... remove the push bar........🙂
💯
Do not wire the blue and red lights back up you might wind up getting a police impersonation charge for turning them on at the wrong time there cool but not worth the chance of jail
💯
Is it for sale?
I’ll ask the owner, it’s been in an accident, if you have seen the community tab a few post below
Im sorry is this your personal car.
No it’s not my personal it’s my friends Pierce, I’ll let him know you’re asking and he can tell you if it’s for sale or not
1900 idle hours that’s nothing for a cop car
“Cleanest interceptor” No spotlight, cracked header panel, my Vic is in better shape. Same year, same state, less miles
Thanks for stopping by. As to “cleanest interceptor” claim, yes that is the cleanest Interceptor that has rolled across my channel for me to film. Are there cleaner ones out there? Yes no doubt, are there ones with less miles? I guarantee it…but until that day comes where I get to experience such, I will stand with my claim. If you would like to show off your clean interceptor let me know and we can make it happen! 👍🏼 email me at lovewhatyoudrive28@gmail.com
LOL @ this guy. #1 nobody thinks you're a cop in a Crown Victoria anymore and #2 if you think they are fast you are absolutely clueless lol.
make sure u put salt on the mic
…hey…not sure what that means…or if that an inside joke? Thanks for stopping by
