His height is leagues above the rest, his body is like muscle bound, his play style is dangerous as heck, and him at full strength without actually practicing was able to dunk on Silver, who is comparable to a NBA player canonically, and this is without the strength amp from Zone. So adult Murasakibara+serious training+Zone+the growth spurt guys experience from 18-23 may very well be the strongest among the GOM. He’s already 208 cm, he could definitely get to 213 or 215 with a growth spurt.
You know what made this one of the best scenes in this anime? Is that he was able to enter the Zone. Yes his Zone didn't get enough shine to it, but I don't think that was the point. In order to enter the Zone, you have to love basketball and be willing to put everything on the line in order to win. All Murasakibara ever did was complain about how he hated basketball and didn't like playing; even though he was the only real raw talented basketball player in the series. The truth is he actually loved basketball but he didn't want to admit it, otherwise entering the Zone would have been impossible for him. He was a very well written character, yet he was so underrated.

Besides everyone else Aomine is the only one who could beat him if you put all of them against each other with no basketball experience. Aomine is naturally fast, has top-notch instincts and reflexes, high vertical and an almost infinite stamina. Being fast, agile and fit makes you the biggest challenge against big guys. That would make Aomine a good defender, a good scorer and a good ball-handler. And playing against big guys isn't going to be a problem for him because remember, when he was just a kid he was already crushing adult players from the day he started with NO experience. And if Musarakibara thinks of just staying in the paint, Aomine could simply score from the three-line or a little further away from the basket.

This was one of the most adrenaline-pumping, hypest shows ever!!!! I just finished Slam Dunk too. While I like the characters in Slam Dunk more, Kuroko No Basque really knows how to build the hype before every Gen of Miracles intro or every game and just put you through a roller-coaster of emotions every game!!!
For those of you who think Murasakibara was shafted: - there was like 20 seconds left until the game's end - two of the strongest Seirin/Kuroko No Basket players, one with the strongest jumping power and the taller one with the biggest hands and strongest grip were needed to stop his Zone dunk - he was a force of nature, running to the other end of the court so quickly and standing as an impenetrable wall defending his hoop - both the animation and music portrayed the last point so well, he was so intimidating in the Zone

Akashi lost simply because Seirin was better, Aomine lost because of teammates, Kise lost because of stamina, Murasaki lost cause never going all out and when he did, he was already tired, Midorima lost cause, well Akashi.

I've watched the entire series 6 years ago and it still felt great when I saw a prodigy like kagami improve so quickly and beat murasaki bara but prior to now. I do agree that murasaki must have won that game, Kise even said that he is the most naturally talented player in GoM and man he's reflexes, reach, jump, weight could have destroyed kagami at that time but yeah, plot armour it is.

One of the requirements to a Zone is to put everything on the line for basketball. So I guess it shows that for a short moment in this match, Murasakibara was truly into the game unlike his usual - nonchalant - feeling towards the game.
People seem to forget murasakibara practically hated basketball. Hell, he was going to quit in the last episode. He literally couldn’t enter the zone until now, when he finally started loving the game
How is it plot armor? Murasaki continuously denied his true feelings for basketball, and always had an extremely negative and pessimistic attitude towards it. You can see several times that no one of the GoM thought Murasaki could even enter the zone in the first place because of his blatant neglect of the sport. It's his ultimate downfall, because he doesn't come to terms with himself and his true love for basketball until it's too late, only 30 seconds left of the match. The entire premise of the whole show is almost exactly that; each of the GoM have a flaw, and it's usually their overconfidence, pride, carelessness, selfishness and general negativity. Seirin would have lost most of their matches if the GoM cared even a little, but with the amount of time they have spent sitting at the top of the throne they've hit a wall, and they always have an epiphany after Seirin defeats them.
It is like Aomine, this guy play with Kagami till the last quarter and some people think that he's the strongest (when litterally every win against the GOM is made by Kuroko Midorima - Kuroko steal the ball before he can shoot Aomine - Kuroko appears of knowhere and pass the ball to Airplotholewalk Kagami Murasakibara and Kise - Phantom Shoot Akashi - Kuroko fake a Phantom shoot and do a alley hoop for Kagmi
The real plot armor is what happens next. Kagami makes the Meteor Dunk, but there's still 2 seconds left in the game and he's all tapped out. Murasakibara then gets a fast return and is basically free to score, but suddenly he's unable to jump.. Kuroko of all people then manages to smack the ball out of his hand, which is laughable considering the height difference.

BULLSHIT Mura, Kise, and Akashi are the ones who were most affected by the plot armor.
Real ending to this match: Kagami got moral boosted from his team, regained zone, used meteor jam which startled newly zoned Atsushi -> Atsushi got the ball, got near the basket, couldn't jump but still goes for a throw -> Kuroko tries to stop him -> Atsushi laughs at his face because he is 208 cm fucking tall and Kuroko is 168, btw he should still be in the zone, so he throws a high three pointer which ends up being a buzzer beater and wins the match. Fuck you plot armor
The time he enter the zone was the time when kagami zone was fading away and kagami still find a way to score lol honestly he will never touch the feet of the GOM if not for the plot😂

Man ive experienced to be in "the zone" but playing fútbol (soccer) and it feels awesome awesome, i wish i could still so it, i could feel when i was in and told my teammates "dont worry we got this, we will win" and scored 5 o 6 goals realy quick in less than 10 minutes 🤭 (indoor soccer)
murasakibara is such a beast normally.. in the zone he would be unstoppable but then that means seirin loses so. they didn’t even let him make one play offense or defense in the zone. and him running out of gas at the end doesn’t even make sense because the same thought process that propelled kagami (“i gotta win bc i’m the ace of my team blah blah”) could be used for mura. Well in terms of skills only (without zone), the only GoM member he can probably defeat in a 1v1 match was Midorima, and we have also to remember that Kagami's key to zone was his will to win for the sake of his teamates so technically he still needs them. In zone, Kagami can have a decent 1v1 with Aomine but Aomine stopped practicing during that time so he is quite dull. Murasakibara in zone overpowers Kagami who is also in zone and Kise in zone destroys Jason Silver (the big bad guy who gives hard time on zone kagami). Akashi, without zone and only using Emperor eye, can defeat Zone Kagami and Zone Akashi destroys him. All in all, Kagami is GoM level but still needs Kuroko to win against the other GoM (except Midorima and maybe Aomine ).
Season 3 Kagami can easily beat Midorima and zone Aomine as well, and could give a very hard time to Kise and Murasakibara as well. This is without kuroko btw. People don't get just how strong deepest zone Kagami is.
but Murasakibara would be forced to follow him all the game and to jump every single time Midorima does it to stop him (so Midorima could easily pass the ball and Murasakibara couldn't stop Midorima's teammates because of that, as it happened against Kagami). Midorima has incredible stamina, Murasakibara would never be able to follow him for the entire match.

Akashi - Kuroko fake a Phantom shoot and do a alley hoop for Kagmi

The real plot armor is what happens next. Kagami makes the Meteor Dunk, but there's still 2 seconds left in the game and he's all tapped out. Murasakibara then gets a fast return and is basically free to score, but suddenly he's unable to jump.. Kuroko of all people then manages to smack the ball out of his hand, which is laughable considering the height difference.

@@Monamona_207 Kagami was jumping throughout the whole fucking game, he reached his limit and was still able to do the jelly meteor, Murasakibara didn't join the offensive until chapter 48 and still wasn't able to jump in the last few seconds. BULLSHIT Mura, Kise, and Akashi are the ones who were most affected by the plot armor.

Real ending to this match: Kagami got moral boosted from his team, regained zone, used meteor jam which startled newly zoned Atsushi -> Atsushi got the ball, got near the basket, couldn't jump but still goes for a throw -> Kuroko tries to stop him -> Atsushi laughs at his face because he is 208 cm fucking tall and Kuroko is 168, btw he should still be in the zone, so he throws a high three pointer which ends up being a buzzer beater and wins the match. Fuck you plot armor

Man ive experienced to be in "the zone" but playing fútbol (soccer) and it feels awesome awesome, i wish i could still so it, i could feel when i was in and told my teammates "dont worry we got this, we will win" and scored 5 o 6 goals realy quick in less than 10 minutes 🤭 (indoor soccer)

murasakibara is such a beast normally.. in the zone he would be unstoppable but then that means seirin loses so. they didn’t even let him make one play offense or defense in the zone. and him running out of gas at the end doesn’t even make sense because the same thought process that propelled kagami (“i gotta win bc i’m the ace of my team blah blah”) could be used for mura. I was disappointed with this

Well in terms of skills only (without zone), the only GoM member he can probably defeat in a 1v1 match was Midorima, and we have also to remember that Kagami's key to zone was his will to win for the sake of his teamates so technically he still needs them. In zone, Kagami can have a decent 1v1 with Aomine but Aomine stopped practicing during that time so he is quite dull. Murasakibara in zone overpowers Kagami who is also in zone and Kise in zone destroys Jason Silver (the big bad guy who gives hard time on zone kagami). Akashi, without zone and only using Emperor eye, can defeat Zone Kagami and Zone Akashi destroys him. All in all, Kagami is GoM level but still needs Kuroko to win against the other GoM (except Midorima and maybe Aomine ).
Season 3 Kagami can easily beat Midorima and zone Aomine as well, and could give a very hard time to Kise and Murasakibara as well. This is without kuroko btw. People don't get just how strong deepest zone Kagami is.

Murasakibara is like the biggest counter to midorima he wouldn't be able to shoot at all.
but Murasakibara would be forced to follow him all the game and to jump every single time Midorima does it to stop him (so Midorima could easily pass the ball and Murasakibara couldn't stop Midorima's teammates because of that, as it happened against Kagami). Midorima has incredible stamina, Murasakibara would never be able to follow him for the entire match.

Effect to the game wise midorima but with himuro Tosen>shutoku, other than the main team only rakuzan has a better lineup than Yosen.
