Furthermore, I'm just guessing, but maybe the reason he could also shoot threes is because he could jump so high that it makes it easier for him to score, which is contrary to Aomine whom I'm yet to see shoot a three. As a consistent power forward ace, I'd actually still pick Kagami over Aomine because of his better versatility. If Kagami cannot be the best on offense, then he has his teammates to assist him for that, but if defense is a concern, he is definitely much more reliable than Aomine on this part.

The final scene was just all the GOM talking with each other if they will continue playing Basketball post Highschool or if they will ever see Kagami again. And Kagami's final scene was at the airport before leaving to America just tearfully thanking Kuruko for everything since without him he wouldn't have been able to beat the GOM, Jabberwock or be as good of a player as he is now.

If Kagami will be programmed by the author to just continuously dunk throughout the battle, then I can say that Kise might win, but if Kagami will be made to actually utilize all of his skills without having to enter the zone, like the long air time and double clutch, then he could win against Kise since Kagami's defense will be better, and Kise will only be better in defense if he copies Murasakibara's defense.

I love this skills video series you made, especially this video for Kagami. I could never understand why people used to shit on his jumps and moves in the zone much when Season 2 was airing, a lot of NBA players have impressive jumping skills in real life. Kagami is so cool.

The super wide defense was my favorite second to meteor jam but wide defense was so clean and when Akashi stepped in it he just passed the ball clean moment
I feel that even though aomine can access the zone more easily and has WAY more experience than probably even Izuki and has a better skill set for 1v1’s Kagamis zone is stronger and more team oriented, at one point Kagami nearly went down the same road as aomine but Kuroko punched him and that knocked some sense into him
Kagami's Meteor Jam, as well as his air walking are really combined. Because how can he set up the meteor jam? Check the Rakuzan vs. Seiren Part when Kagami does it.
We can perhaps credit him as well for withstanding the most number of Emperor Eye ankle breaks in the series, as well as being able to hold on best against them, even against the real and absolute Emperor Eye with Zone, Kagami is the only one I've seen that could've almost resisted those ankle breaks. Murasakibara and Midorima, for instance, did not even once manage to hold their knees and immediately fall down always whenever facing Akashi's Emperor Eye.
In the manga, it's both stated and implied many times that *base* Akashi was already better than all the miracles in winter cup. Kagami shut him down and resisted zone Akashi's ankle breaks, he deserves a lot more credit for this

Basically, the difference is that Sakuragi is technically worse (albeit he improves very quick for a rookie and he's able to land jumpers at the Nationals) but has lots more of endurance pool to draw (he outlasted everyone in Kainan's match and was able to land a buzzerbeater against Sannoh even with a back injury).
