- Cleaning out the grass less spot the swimming pool left. We cleared out the weeds and layed down some soil to cover up the spot and planted a small bed around the bird bath.
ABOUT US
We are Angie and Ambrose and we have been married for 14 years and have 4 beautiful children. We currently live in North Carolina. I say currently because we move a lot. About two years agowe discovered gardening and the whole family fell in love with it. Now we are obsessed (in a good way) because it’s brought so much happiness in our lives. We have learned so much in such a short time and want to people to not be intimidated by gardening and learn along with us. Even more exciting is that we move and have to learn how to garden in a whole new zone which makes for a challenge and better all around experience for gardening. We started this channel as an informative project for others and so that we could look back at how much our hobby has grown over time.

Last year I planted 3 where I traditionally would plant 5 geraniums. Due to a back yard project I didn't do anything more in front. By the time I went to the front in August they had filled in the area so beautifully.
This year I'm increasing the number to 5 because I'm removing a few perennials for other areas and to put on the curb to share with neighbors. I always have to plant lemon coral sedum. That number increases each year because I love it much.

Saw something similar in the proven winners magazine. You guys did amazing. I'll be trying this next season (I blew this year garden budget) lol.
You are absolutely right, we forgot to mention where we got the idea. We have a long list for next season and there catalogue of plants is awesome. Something I don’t mention is that I live at garden centers and find a lot of these either on clearance or at lower pricing. Try looking into that as we would be broke if it wasn’t for being persistent in looking for the best deals.

Lovely little garden and birdbath!
Hello!!! We had such an amazing time putting this little area together. It evolved the following year into a lettuce round bed in that same place we turned into a kitchen garden. We no longer live there and now we are in Virginia starting a new garden. That little birdbath area did teach us a lot about gardening. Thank you for watching and I had a great time looking back at that day. 😃💐💚💚💚💚💚💚

GARDEN OBSESSIONS GARDEN OBSESSIONS Ikr ... I planted super petunias about a month back and the back of the tag said they grow 30cm wide ... far out mine having grown like 45cm wide already ... they're growing on top of each other lol ... so pretty though ... also I watched your video again (amazing the things you miss the first time of watching) anyway I heard Ambrose saying in the back corner you's are thinking of putting in some sort of water feature or pond, that's going to look truly stunning ... are you's going to eventually put a little boarder around your pretty garden? 👩🏻🌾👨🏼🌾🕊✨💖
We didn’t plan on putting a border and naturally letting the sedum separate the garden from the grass. If that doesn’t work out then we will look into a border. Yes the water feature will be amazing. We will put in some small fish because we love all types of animals.

Hello! We have moved from that home we were in NC zone 8a living in a military base. Now we are going on 3rd year almost time to move again in Quantico, Virginia zone 7b also on a military base. That area turned out lovely. The Supertunias did amazing but the Sedum didn’t do well to wet for that area. Now I’m growing a similar sedum called Lemon coral sedum from Proven Winners. It does well in sun, shade, wet soil grows anywhere it’s amazing! Wish I had it when we planted that area. 💚
I have that same weed in eastern North Carolina. I gave up on trying to have nice grass lol
We currently have it all over the back yard and we are hoping to try and seed for new grass. Thanks very much for watching.

My garden store does not have that slow release fertilizer for some reason. Looks beautiful. I like the fountain where did you purchase it from?
So the espoma brand can be found at Home Depot or Lowe’s and some nurseries. I have yet to find the Proven winners slow release anywhere, I have to order it online. The bird bath was sold to us from someone in the local area. I have seen it at Lowe’s or homedepot, I cannot remember. Thank you very much for watching glad you liked it.
