What a beautiful example of low maintenance plantings. So often you see commercial I installations that look terrible after 1 or 2 years. This looks fabulous.
I am going to implement your wonderful idea of planting the pennisetum and gaura on the sunny, dry side of my home. I have 4 gardens surrounding it and now can feel good about making it beautiful, along with the raspberry bushes that grown there. So thank you!
One word: Gorgeous! I saw the last video you made from the golf club, and guess what? I went and planted similar combinations in my garden. So your design actually inspired a garden on the other side of the Atlantic (in Norway to be more specific). How about that? 😊🌱🌻🌿🌼
OMG! I am so honored!!! I got goose bumps it's so exciting! I hope the plants are doing well. I know it can be tough out there in the Nordic countries. I am from St. Petersburg so know all about gardening in tough climate. Thank you so much for watching 😃🥰🌼🙏
Thank you so much for your reply on the grasses. I love that you print all the names out for us on top of the flowers. You're my favourite gardener on RUclips.
I was actually never a fan of the lime looking hydrangeas. The way you combined them with other plants has really inspired me to put some in my garden next year. Looks so beautiful.
I am so happy that I discovered your channel, you really put together the most beautiful combinations of plants and flowers! I'm a huge fan of hydrangeas so I especially enjoyed this tour!!
Simply stunning! I saw the garden tour of this garden last year and immediately started to transform my garden with these plants. I'm a long time gardener; however, as I've gotten older I need a lower maintenance garden. This is perfection! Love your videos; so inspirational!
Finally a landscaper who enjoys planting native plants & grasses! I just discovered your channel and looking forward to more garden design ideas. I’m in zone 7.
I think this is the prettiest large garden I've ever seen. I would love to see it later in the Fall when the Asters are blooming and the hydrangea blooms are aging.
I absolutely love this planting! I just moved into a new house and I am going to use this for my inspiration. Hydrangeas everywhere! I love it! It looks like a dreamy drought tolerant cottage garden!
Oh my God how lucky they were to get you! Amazing. Just amazing. That's one of the most beautiful commercial plantings I've ever seen. It does not have the typical "low maintenance" look. Yet it doesn't look at all manicured. Wow, this was very useful to see -- we really can borrow ideas from this. Thank you!
Lovely use of a short list of plants. You have inspired me to make a fenced in garden ( to keep plants away from deer). After 50 years of gardening I finally have a real shade garden. Rutgers fact sheets along with your design ideas have helped my creativity.
Absolutely stunning! I kept pausing the video so I could fill my eyes with the beauty of your plant combinations! They’re so lucky to have chosen you to create their outdoor space! Lots of love from England 🏴 xx
So grateful I found your channel! Every video you post is a wealth of info, delivered with clarity and passion, and always with magnificent planting displays!
Yes! It is a wonderful combo. And sooo easy to take care of. If it's on the side of the house make sure to include some evergreens for winter. Here it was not needed because the club is not used in the winter.
How am I just now seeing this video? Well, thank goodness, because the plantings are simply stunning. I have one Bobo I need to plant once I remove a Davdii hydrangea which gets too tall and wide for its space; there are actually two but I will replace them one at a time. The companion plants you have chosen are so perfectly matched, I think I will use them in the renovation of this area of my yard.
I adore the plantings that you did here. I love the pennisetum and hydrangea combo in the back...love it. I have a whole bunch of limelight for a section on the side of my house and now need to find the pennisetum to interplant it with. Just gorgeous! Thank you for the inspiration!
Beautiful plants and well cared for.. fabulous tour. More videos please, I love that you took us slowly giving botanical and common names and the pros with failures. This video helps beginners too🙏🏼
I don't think panicle hydrangeas like the ones planted would mind the sun as long as they get sufficient water... as far as I've read they're the hardiest hydrangeas and can survive heat and cold very well... probably with arborescens or mopheads you'll have to plant in shade but not panicles
These plants are beautiful, you did a beautiful job! My BoBo doesn’t look anything like that! It’s a baby and doesn’t get enough sun, going to move it! Thanks for the great tour!
I remember when you first showed this garden, and it was/is my inspiration for my new house which had no landscaping at all, I made my list and found what I could for my area, and I'm still building on this delightful garden that you've created. Thank you Thank you.
They really do. I didn't want it to be a cookie cutter (roses and miscanthus) kind of landscape that was originally proposed. Something little more natural and flowy :)
Love these gardens. I’ve watched this one multiple times they are so well designed and beautiful. I don’t do well with alyssum so I’ve tried ageratum instead and works well for me z6. Would fit well with your color scheme. I’ve watched many of your videos and always say these are beautiful gardens. Thank you for sharing.
You are so inspiring! I am so glad I found you. You are so gifted and encouraging, letting everyone know they can do it if they set their minds to it. Great life coach! Thanks!!!!
What inspiration! This is so beautiful. I am definitely going plant shopping today. Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for all that you share with us.
This combo is gorgeous. Love the strawberry vanilla with the coneflowers and grasses. I have the autumn joys and they are so easy, even in my clay soil (wet or dry) they do so well and so is the Roseanne geranium, it blooms forever. I have to get me some of the strawberry-vanilla. I am in love. TFS!
This is a wonderful, overall pleasing design for anyone who passes by. I'm in love with this combination of that particular Bluestem, Sedum, Echinacea & all those Hydrangea! I am hoping to borrow some of your ideas in my yard which needs a total overhaul. I had the PeeGee Hydrangea many years ago, which I miss, & would highly recommend a few of those interspersed into this design if you can talk them into it. This would add some height in a few spots, if you think it would be worth the effort - not that it's not perfect as it is. I like the soft airy walkway lined with grasses & Gaura very much too! I didn't know it came in that color. Re the "failure" with the Alyssum , they might need more moisture until they get established, but also, I see that a wood bark mulch has been used. Perhaps it is taking up nitrogen,& robbing the Alyssum, or, absorbing moisture the alyssum needs. You might try removing the wood mulch around the Alyssum plants, feed them with a slow release fertilizer & have them give them more moisture until they get established. Then they'll be spreading enough that no wood mulch there will be needed. Oh & please tell me what those purple plants are, behind the Alyssum? Are they a type of Sedum? Absolutely love what you did with those blue glazed planters too!
Absolutely Stunning Beauty! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I appreciate your suggestions on grouping’s for sun, heat and dry areas as those are typical for my area. Great video. Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm looking to redo both my front and back landscaping and this is exactly what I needed, I love everything you did! And those pots are to die for! Now I need to get some Bobos!
Amazing. One of my favourite tours you've done. I have most of these, and seeing them together the way you formed everything is just inspirational. I think to myself why did I keep these plants apart when they could be together. Wonderful tour.
The country club has to be thrilled with your plantings!! Everything is perfect...so natural and simple but just stunning. Kudos on a great job!!! 🌿🌷❤
They love it! Get compliments all the time. I LOVE my job 😁😁😁
I rewatch this video from time to time and get inspired all over again, every time! Please do a follow up. Love to see it earlier in the season.
WOW WOW & WOW. You have done an exceptional job on the planting palette. I 💚💚💚 it all.
Wow, wow, wow! Absolutely beautiful! I am so inspired! Thanks for sharing
Girl. This is a KNOCKOUT garden! The way you made everything cohesive, the simple yet elegantly stunning pairing of plants. Wow!!
What a beautiful example of low maintenance plantings. So often you see commercial I installations that look terrible after 1 or 2 years. This looks fabulous.
Thank you! Yes, so true about the commercial installations.
I can't imagine anything more beautiful than this garden!
Aww, thank you!

I am going to implement your wonderful idea of planting the pennisetum and gaura on the sunny, dry side of my home. I have 4 gardens surrounding it and now can feel good about making it beautiful, along with the raspberry bushes that grown there. So thank you!
Юлечка три просто молодец !!так глаз порадовала, все просто прекрасно !!!❤️
I love your grasses, I live the fact that they are not throwing grass seeds everywhere!
The way you put all of them together would be my heaven! Omg.... I'm in awe

Wow! I know exactly where I want to plant a strawberry vanilla hydrangea in my garden for Mother’s Day.
Simply stunning! I saw the garden tour of this garden last year and immediately started to transform my garden with these plants. I'm a long time gardener; however, as I've gotten older I need a lower maintenance garden. This is perfection! Love your videos; so inspirational!

Breathtaking
Gorgeous! Well done! We have to protect hydrangeas from the afternoon sun here otherwise they burn, but definitely one of my favorite plants.
The space is beautiful. Love it. I didn’t see much plants for late fall and winter interest
I have some asters ‘Purple dome’ and sedums. Grasses and hydrangeas last until late December.
Wow! Love it! My favorite plants are what I cannot have, hydrangea. We adjoin state deerlands, (gamelands). Everything else you had works fine for me.
