I can honestly say that Patrice O’Neal is the only celebrity that I genuinely feel sad that they’re gone. It hurts thinking about what he would have to say about the world today. I wish we could hear him just rant still.
Completely agree, but at least we have hours on hours of Patrice talking about almost every topic imaginable, especially movies, so I'm grateful for every second. He'll always live on through these videos/specials/podcasts.
@@MentLeee Patrice would find the weird irony that his voice serenades you to sleep. The Last thing a performer wants to be remembered for but I do the same thing 🙃
Ant's Wuuud Yaa and Nortons Heebie Kykeburger are absolutely comedy gold. With Patrice, this was the trio of true comedy genius. Opie is lucky to have even been in that room.
His impression of Buffalo Bill is hilarious, it sounds just like him! That whole bit on Silence of the Lambs made me laugh… Buffalo Bill was a great antagonist!
I'm a huge movie fan and I wish I could have a movie nerd talk with patrice, amazing, his memory of the Friday the 13th series was incredible, I cheered in my car, wish you where here, we need you today
So depressed that I have listened to every minute of this and know there will never be more to it. Also sad for Patrice and all the movies he won't get to see
He was super cool with it, quick pic and of course the fucking flash didn't work so Kenny had to take 2 but really he was really really cool about it. I mean I felt like a complete zilch but whatever he was just really decent about the whole thing.
Patrice contributed to 12 amazing hours with just talking about movies and wasn't paid a single cent. Opie was paid millions and didn't contribute to a single thing. Just let that sink in.
Don’t want to jump on the bandwagon.... I’m catching up over here in the UK,but Opie literally cuts off all the funniest moments!!! I’ve been listening to this to go sleep for a couple of nights.😂😂
I don’t want to overstate his impact, but has anyone ever been more important in entertainment and comedy? Patrice is my favorite person. It’s absolutely ridiculous how good he was at making people laugh.
Anyone more important in entertainment and comedy than an almost completely unknown comedian? Patrice was great but he had very little impact while he was alive.
@@sifkoh Sure he was controversial, and made himself a bit unappealing and off-putting to groups of people. That's kind of the point though, and is the beauty in it. He believed so fiercely in what he was saying, that figuratively pushing people away actually didn't even matter. The truth was more important to him than the social recognition. I think that's admirable.
@@sifkoh I can see your point. You're talking about achieving success. Maybe we just define importance very differently.. Do you know how many comedians said that Patrice was their favorite comic? Norm MacDonald to name just one. If Norm loved him, he must have made a decent impact on the industry, or at east it's stand-ups. I think the controversial figures are probably more important overall. They have a platform, and something original and interesting to say.
This is the background noise on my Bluetooth speakers as I fall asleep. Twelve hours straight, listening to some of the funniest people ever talk about movies… Man, I wish there was another 12 hour compilation!
6:16:59 perfect example of Opie killing a joke. Anthony says something dark but hilarious, Jim laughs -- aaand Opie needs to explain why it's funny, thus killing it.
Jimmy: “Half awful, half terrible!” Lmao! For the record though, I did love Keanu in The Matrix. And I haven’t seen John Wick, but people seem to love John Wick.
It seemed impossible for him to read the energy of the room correctly. Especially when comics were in studio. Most of the time, he came off insincere and inauthentic, which hindered his ability to simply sit and riff with whoever was in studio. It feels like he lacked his own opinions in most cases.
Opie not getting the Pulp Fiction reference from the caller Jared while in the middle of the Snakes on a Plane with Pulp Fiction lines bit was very hard to listen to.
Thank you so much for uploading this and time-stamping the description. I've been savoring this all week at work getting through it a couple hours at a time so I don't blow it on two shifts. Patrice is forever missed, possibly the funniest guy of all time and I'm sad we can't get his input on today's bullshit. Even fantasizing about a Tough Crowd revival (didn't get the credit it deserved) bums me out because it wouldn't be the same without Patrice.
I expressed the same thing - almost verbatim - at work about li'l Dakota. A co-worker thought I was twisted and I just RAN with it. I had a little "fountain candle" and multiple pictures of Miss Fanning (some with eyes blacked out or tape drawn across her mouth) adorning my cubicle. I lit the candles; clicked the fountain on (2 AA batteries required - NOT included); and began chanting over the cubicle - juuuuuuust loud enough for HIM to hear. It was quite a scene.
Patrice is so damn funny! When I heard that, I lost it. Patrice had no filter and such a talented brain… I wish he was around right now (in 2021) so I could listen to him analyze and critique newer movies.
Don't know what's worse, when he's just in background doing fuck all until he kills the bit by going to phones or when he's joining in and gets carried away with himself and kills the bit
In retrospect some of the most interesting conversations about movies I've ever heard. I can only wonder what Patrice would think about Joaquin Phoenix being Joker given the hair lip jokes and his reverence for the Dark Knight Joker.
ive always listened to as much as I could of this before needing a break cuz of how long it is, but I just broke through 6 hours and got up to the speed part and the way keanu reeves says "cans", and I laughed so hard I couldn't get oxygen to my brain for like a minute. I love when I think I'm the only one that noticed something until someone else does
This video (the first version of this) was the reason I went back and watched every appearance of Patrice on O&A. I had already seen all the Jim Jeffries/Louis CK episodes but Patrice had many more appearances and I only just finished them today after about 18 months of watching them off-and-on. Then it became a hobby of mine to note down movies they spoke about. There are definitely hundreds of small movie references that you missed in this video, but that probably wouldn't flow very well because they're mostly short ones. One thing that is odd to me though is that you've missed Patrice's final ever conversation on Opie and Anthony which was all about The Godfather Part I and II. He calls Otto and Jim "Movie aficionados", and as I said, it's his last ever words on the show. It just seemed really special and so fitting that he would do that - it's absolutely worthwhile having at the end of this with a note on screen that says "Patrice's final moments on O&A" or something. I started making notes on some of the bigger movie discussions that you missed and I think having William H Macy in studio talking about Fargo, Boogie Nights etc was one of them. Let me know if you do plan on making any more of these!
TweekDash This is actually the 3rd time I've updated this. The first one was only 7 hours. Then I put out the 12 hour one and now the 13 hour version. I ended up deleting the 7 hour version and I know that there has been other references that are not in this. Alot of them were too short but some of them I simply missed. There's so much Patrice movie talk to keep track of. Perhaps, I'll do a 4th update if I can find enough content to add in. So if you have specifics feel free to reply with the details. I know there was a short clip that was just a few mins long of him talking about Brandon Routh as Superman but I could not find where it was at. Really annoyed me.

Watching this in 2024.. miss Patrice but Anthony was low key a comedic genius
Patrice contributed to 12 amazing hours with just talking about movies and wasn't paid a single cent. Opie was paid millions and didn't contribute to a single thing. Just let that sink in.
Don't worry, he's voice will carry on
I don’t think opie had a single interesting non-obvious original sentence come out of his mouth. Poor guy.
I honestly believe any one of us who just listened to this with no radio experience would have contributed more. Its a movie discussion!
Well, Dopie said he hated Stepbrothers sooooo. . .
@@favrerules04I didn’t like stepbrothers when it came time out either.
Don’t want to jump on the bandwagon.... I’m catching up over here in the UK,but Opie literally cuts off all the funniest moments!!!
I’ve been listening to this to go sleep for a couple of nights.😂😂
Dude op is awful. I love hearing the Nopie shows. When it was Patrice jimmy and Ant it was priceless.
I love movie/tv talk. It's such an unserious topic, but you can get so into it, and there's just so much of it.
Best audio compilation on RUclips. It's weird to miss someone so much when you've never even met them. I learned a lot from Patrice.
This makes me miss Patrice more than anything else.
Esp near the end and all the movies he never got to see
I've heard it loads of times now, but the Wesley Snipes part kills me everytime.
BLADE AIN'T CRYING!
I laugh every time
The ElevaTOR
@@patrickbaklava7297 , Gotta listen to that segment again now thanks to this comment 😆
"Wait, wait! I know a lot about taxes!" Kills me every time
@@TitusArsole , lmao that is perfect off the cuff comedy. You just don't get that anymore.
I don’t want to overstate his impact, but has anyone ever been more important in entertainment and comedy? Patrice is my favorite person. It’s absolutely ridiculous how good he was at making people laugh.
To people who know, he’s an all-time great. He’s undeniable.
@@JoelB3 I agree with all that, I'm just saying he was never important in the business like you claimed.
This makes me so nostalgic.
I forgot how 90s the early 2000s still were.
the Pulp Fiction segment damn near killed me with laughter. I'm gasping for air. Patrice and Anthony was magic together.
The Rocky segment.
"Time to CHAAAANGE. SHA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LAAA!" fucking deSTROYED me.
One of the funniest things I’ve ever heard
Time stamp?
Jimmy Moss 21:59
"I'd rather die than not talk about you getting fucked in the ass."
Fucking priceless.
Bro, what an incredible job you did. Thank you so much for all your hard work, this must have taken forever.
Nothing better than Patreeki talkin movies w Ant & Jimmy. What a sweet compilation. 👏👏
I have listened to this whole thing more than any person should. I have no life lol
This is better than most normal conversations don’t worry 😂
This is the background noise on my Bluetooth speakers as I fall asleep. Twelve hours straight, listening to some of the funniest people ever talk about movies… Man, I wish there was another 12 hour compilation!
Hebie Kikeburger is still the best bit of this whole compilation, and Patrices laugh makes it so much better.
You’d be dead if it wasn’t For my David
Get ready to hear Opie say “I gotta see that movie” dozens of times.
And if he has seen it "I gotta watch that again."
Danny P sounds like something I would say. I guess I'm a moron like Opie
He literally hasnt seen any of these fucking movies
Oh no, somebody says that a few times in audio that spans six years - nice grasping at straws to hate somebody, stupid.
Only once an hour? I can handle that lol
12:29:00 Gotta love how Opie can’t even remember face off before jimmys rant but later when a caller mentions it he HATES face off
1:59:50 (Patrice to Ant): "You're a romantic, you're a Utopian...you're an ass!!"
LOL, Miss ya, Patrice
When Patrice said "Booty crush boulevard" in reference to Brokeback mountain 😂😂😂 classic Patrice. Miss you bro.
bush face boulevard made me do a back flip
Corn hole canyon" someone once said. I wonder what he thinks of Nolan flicks, or Manchester by the sea. It would be epic as usual.
makes me laugh to this day
6:16:59 perfect example of Opie killing a joke. Anthony says something dark but hilarious, Jim laughs -- aaand Opie needs to explain why it's funny, thus killing it.
1:57:44 - 2:01:45 this is when you knew ant genuinely loved Patrice with all his heart, no joke
Nearly 13 hours of film review and you could never convince me that opie has ever watched ONE of the movies being discussed
He made fun of Batman 89 then 2 minutes later said "I love Tim Burton films".
So he didn't know who directed Batman 89.
Him talking about the Alan Alda movie that he could not remember, was ridiculous 😂😂
@@donkeydan5996Is that in this clip?
@@Tony_Cardoza yep
Patrice on Keanu Reeves - "He's half something & half something else." HAHAHA!!!
He's saying Keanu is shapeshifter reptile. Read between the lines 😆
Well, that's technically correct though
Jimmy: “Half awful, half terrible!”
Lmao! For the record though, I did love Keanu in The Matrix. And I haven’t seen John Wick, but people seem to love John Wick.
Just found this channel recently. Thank you so much!!! I miss O&A!! Now I can listen to these classics at work or whenever!!! These are the best!!!
I will always come back to this it, never gets old
I got to O & A late and it took a while to figure out which person was who until I realized the person who wasn't funny was Opie...now it makes sense.
brian glass they both sound the same
Ant doing 1940's newsmen is my all time favorite.
How did Opie fuck up the Snakes on a Plane bit 😂😂 Patrice being a saint, trying to help him out..
He absolutely butchered it
Because Opie STINKS!
Yeah, Patrice was a good guy! You could tell he was trying to look out for Opie.
After a while Opies ability to ruin bits just becomes impressive.
As time goes by i love Patrice's laugh even more. And Anthony on form has him howling.
I love Anthony's 1920's commercial broadcaster guy voice
I almost bought a pack of lucky strikes because i seen them at family dollar and didn't know they still make them
He calls him: "40's Guy."
Independence day bit got me howling laughter. MY DAVID. You knew den.
I loved the takedown of Robert Losier, “GIT ON THE HORN, TELL ‘EM HOW TO TAKE THOSE ZONSS OF BIZCHESSS DOWNNNNN . . .”
Hebe Kikeberger destroyed me when I first heard it.
@@Thagros ant said he was too embarrassed to look at the screen when he heard that
Patrice praising Sly for his acting in Rocky and Rambo then trashes Bob Kelly for praising Sly in Rocky and Rambo hahaha
In Patrice’s defense, although he said Sly’s cry was great, he also laughed & said it was funny due to his mumbling.
Ya know what, diiiiiiiiiid, feckiiiiinn'...…..
Bob Kelly blows
It's because Bobby makes you want to hate it
Never noticed that until you mentioned it lmao
Thank you for this compilation. I return to it frequently.
It hurts that Patrice is gone God must be a fan of his like all of us.
I wish Patrice was still around but I am grateful he was around for this time in film specifically. So many hours of great material!
It has taken me two weeks to listen to the whole show and i am happy i did.
I did in 2 days no joke.
I’ve been listening to this whole 13 hours for like 2 years while I’m working lol
Thanks for taking the time to cut up and post this Gold
The Snipes bit is beyond hilarious.
Silence of the Lambs segment actually made me cry laughing, Ant nailed it 😂
WOULD YA
ohh yea
😂😂😂😂😂 Would Yah
Jimmy changing Patrice's mind on Face Off was the best part of this 12 hours
Patrice is a legendary stand-up comic and the goat of the Hot Take -- but I never knew he was such a knowledgeable film buff!!
Anthony + Patrice + jimmy + billy burr - opie = comedy fucking gold
“Do something dishonorable” I lost it
Thank you for editing all of this together.
The dreams I have listening to these while in R.E.M sleep.
The Vice Squad segment is the best bit of this near 13 hour marathon.
Ramrod. 😂😂🤣
“She was good, because she was kidnapped the whole movie”!!😂😂😂
One of my favorite lines from Ant came shortly after that.
"I would like to see her in the Jon Benet Ramsay story."
Patrice said 40 Million for Kick Ass, ended up being 48 million US, damn he was good
But he was wrong in the fact that that movie ruled
The love for patrice is these comments makes me happy 😊😊
9:42:40 when Patrice and Ant say "fantastic!" At the same time made me smile
Almost every time Opie chimes in with a funny joke I'm like "wow". Then it turns out to be from some dude from Conneticut.
It’s so funny. He gets his soup in the mix by just reading other random Joe shmoes jokes while all the comedians in the room deliver comedy gold.
The amount of times opie completely ruins the conversation is mind boggling
@Schlomo Shekelsteeler wtf.
@Schlomo Shekelsteeler lmao
@Schlomo Steeler Well you wouldn't eat a Burger without sauce.
Don't know what's worse, when he's just in background doing fuck all until he kills the bit by going to phones or when he's joining in and gets carried away with himself and kills the bit
the destroyer lol
Damn without Opie, some of these rants or bits they go on could've gone so much further without getting derailed by some terrible caller.
Opie is a disease.
Opie was the weak link, but he has to take callers
Could Opie have said Marky, Mark instead of Mark Wahlburg one more fckin time? God, I hate his voice.
I do love the callers that shit on Opie tho.
Opie DOES get in the way of the funny chemistry between Patrice and Anthony and that kinda makes you resent him.
When Patrice says "Dinosaur Forest", and Ant laughs...that may be the most pure laugh I've ever heard. That laughter transcends race!
In retrospect some of the most interesting conversations about movies I've ever heard. I can only wonder what Patrice would think about Joaquin Phoenix being Joker given the hair lip jokes and his reverence for the Dark Knight Joker.
@mosaabtwice3999yes jajaja
Time to start this over again. Gone but never forgotten Patrice ❤️
I love listening to the Patrice collections....there's enough content to keep me entertained for a while!!
Nothing brings me as much joy as Patrice hysterically laughing.
ive always listened to as much as I could of this before needing a break cuz of how long it is, but I just broke through 6 hours and got up to the speed part and the way keanu reeves says "cans", and I laughed so hard I couldn't get oxygen to my brain for like a minute.
This is so epic and I'm so glad there's a demand for it.
2:11:20 "Alright slow down bitch, I kicked ass" that shit got me in tears
Cannot tell you how many times I've watched this, thanks heaps dude
One of the best things on the Internet. THANK YOU
I love when Jimmy's rants make Patrice laugh
