I do use a WISP at my RV, That is due to I am the WISP owner of that park as I am to many RV parks in NC. I love getting internet to places that the big companies are not willing to go.

I tried T-Mobile 5g home internet for a couple months, worked well for a bit... But then the modem died, I ordered a replacement... That one died the next day. I cancelled after that, they obviously have modem issues and until they fix it I won't be going back. I do want to reiterate, the actual speed was good.. Usually 50-150mbps... When it was actually working

How would you begin researching fixed wireless services for a rural community?

Fixed wireless is not available for me now, how do I find out when at&t will put it in. The cell phone tower is in and working.

I've had fixed wireless internet in my part of Australia for a few years and find it quite acceptable. I can actually see the tower 10km away (with binoculars) and I get about 20-30Mbps which is good enough for me (1080p Netflix without buffering). Other technologies have entered the area but it ain't broke so I won't fix it.

Fixed wireless is unreliable. If more people are using the same wireless tower, it could make the speeds fluctuate. So yea you might get 1 good time where it’s fast but it’s not always like that
