The new album is everything I’d hoped for from hearing the singles. Jeff has earned my permanent respect for his performances on it, and the rest of the band is as solid as ever. I never thought an entirely acoustic album from these guys would get to me like this one has. Seriously, way to go, guys. 🤘🏻

@NewDawnFadesX DuVall is a great singer. When he's harmonizing with Jerry it sounds great, but by himself he doesn't compare. He can't hold a candle to Layne because nobody can.

First listen and I really like it. Really feels like Scott is coaching Jeff, and no shade on Jeff he is an excellent singer, but hard to put into words.. I’m a touch emotional, I’ve always been a hardcore STP fan. What an amazing song.

The only other band in my head that went on to huge success after losing their frontman is no other than AC/DC and they did it when they were culturally relevant so this is beyond exciting for me. This whole album seems like an ode to Scott. Amazing and so glad this had happened

@Richard Skipper I guess you don't know what vocal range in music is.
RIP Chester but I don’t think he should be categorised with Layne, Chris or Scott. Chester’s band made some really really horrible music and were part of the awful nu metal movement before becoming a pop group towards the end. No matter how good his voice may have been, his band was awful.
It's almost uncanny, that their voices both have a cadence about them that is just that, "Uncanny". Brilliant, I love it, simple and unique.
That was heartwarming, awesome song.
And Jeff is, hands down, the greatest pick for taking Weiland's seat.

Jeff is nowhere near Scott’s level of songwriting genius and melody making. Nor is he even half the live performer. Let’s just be realistic here. Jeff is just okay. The songs are okay. His voice is good but nothing unique. It’s all just a bit... bland.

Scott was a generational icon (my favorite frontman ever btw), but he crippled STP and we are lucky to have this new chapter.
It was on a spotify playlist and did not realised it was a new STP song. What surprises me was Jeff’s voice really sounded like Weiland. A great artist tribute to a their ex-frontman. It just shows STP delivers great music!
Dean, Rob, and Eric couldn't have found a better successor to Scott Weiland. Jeff really does Scott proud. What a beautiful musical ensemble.

Went thru this same scenario with Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon and still after near fifteen years still feels like I'm half the man I used to be..lol..yeah I know. (That's as far as I will emulate Mr. Weiland.) At least The Pilots waited a few years, as BM did not. Scott and Shannon will always be with ME. Never replaced. Never Forgotten. And ALWAYS Loved.

Wow...Once again, I’m stunned at how this band continues to put out great music even despite their tragic losses. And I’m amazed at how similar Jeff can sound to Scott at times. They even have the same chin...if that was all you saw of his face, I wouldn’t entirely be surprised for someone who didn’t know better to think this WAS Scott. I intend to get this as soon as it comes out...hope it’s as good as Jeff’s debut!

‘Hello It’s Late’ is one of their best, the melodies, harmonies and lyrics Scott created on that are nothing short of beautiful. This new song ranks as one of their worst and is bland uninspired fluff.
"Hello, it's late" may be my favorite STP songs in this vein next to "And so I know" or "I Got You" . Please consider bringing it to your set! 🙏
Jimmy Lad it sounds just like, “Maven.” The last STP song they did with Scott on their 2010 album. But that song is MUCH better.
