what was unique about her sound is that even though the music was primarily electronic, it had a warmth that most electronic music lacks. And the strings sound like real strings, not synthesizers (whether they're real or not). Her producers knew what they were doing.
This is her best song. I'm surprised you haven't reacted to this one as the "blue eyed shockers" seem to get the most attention among those who request. This is UK street soul.
Perfect description of this jam...house/r&b....this was a 90s jam....lol... When Lisa first hit the charts the black community thought she was the 2nd coming of Teena Marie....a white girl with so much soul.... That was short lived however....but still love her.... Everyone should check out Lisa's live perfomance on the Apollo....the stunned look on her face from the audience reaction is classic.... Great reaction
Lisa Lisa I remember when she first came out you heard everywhere in the clubs she define true R&B music especially in the 90s @ Travis nice choice this is my jam 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This album was at one time a gift for my mother for her birthday or Mother’s Day. As a family we just loved the whole album and to this day I listen to it regularly. She has this flexible crazy voice that still doesn’t sound like anyone but is influenced by so many greats. One of a kind!
To this day, mystified that she never broke bigger here in the states. The first album set the stage for a three or for hit single breakout on her followup but Arista really fumbled her.
I love this song. I had her albums in the 90's and I played the heck out of them lol but I don't really like this music video alot. They could have did it differently. Just my opinion.
She is from England which surprised me cause she sounded so soulful..This was the jam I loved this song
One of the few female voices that hits contralto.
Lisa's rendition of 'All Woman' live at The Albert Hall in London, is one of the best ever live performances by anyone ever. Incomparable. 🎉 ❤❤❤

Classic 90's ❤
Her live performance at the Apollo is a real treat. The audience cheering her on is just amazing

The whole project is a banger, no fillers here. A great solo debut by Lisa Stansfield.
this was Lisa's 2nd straight #1 R&B record. off her debut album. summer of 1990.
I LOVE the strings and flugelhorn arrangements on this one.

Lisa was so real to me. Her voice has always moved me! The UK artist use to have a soulful groove going on. Maybe they still do.
Check out the sunburst band from Yorkshire England...
Pretty cool video. Loved this one
