I bought 1 and used it for a few months. Bought 3 more after that for gifting. Even at the checkout they brought up the warranty and said “even if it’s years from now and no receipt and it was being used as a pry bar to break, we will replace it”. My only complaint is the tight and pointy pocket clip. I sanded the point round and sanded a tad on the contacting pinch point. Perfect 👌.
I have been caring the knife for months. I put it in my front pocket. I fidget with it everyday. Some have said they had issues with the clip but mine is still holding strong.
I was able to get one of these knives with a 25% off coupon for $29.99 after I got it home and took it out of the package and fiddled with it a little I liked it so much I bought a second one at full price to put away in case they quit making them
Nearly an exact clone of the Todd Beggs Steel Craft Mini Glimpse.. Not to be confused with the Beggs Mini Glimpse. ~Todd Beggs Steel Craft Mini Glimpse = approx. $140.00 on the secondary market ~Beggs Mini Glimpse (Terrible quality) = approx. $70 (Name and designs stolen by brothers) ~Icon (mini glimpse) = $30ish _ and barring materials is on par with the Todd Beggs version. Fit and finish are wonderful for a budget knife like this from Harbor Freight
I'm going to comment before I even watch the video lol. I picked this knife up a couple of months ago. I was drawn in by the handle materials and bearings. Then I started using it daily as a work knife, and I found that my fingers were sore at the end of the day because of the terrible ergonomics.
I bought one when they first came out. I feel it’s a good value. Especially if you can pick one up when there’s a 20% off Icon coupon. Harbor Freight ruffled some feathers when it was released. It’s pretty much a blatant copy of a knife from another company. That being said, it’s half the price of the other knife and I think it’s nicer. I think you’ll enjoy it.
@@flapxjackson I had no idea it was a clone. I appreciate that information. I like that it’s a good value and I understand and not everyone can afford the higher end stuff. Hopefully it serves others and myself well. 👍🏽
@ Look up Begg Knives mini Glimpse. You’ll see that the two are almost identical with almost identical specs and materials. But with the Harbor Freight knife you get carbon fibre inlays, a pivot collar, and a milled clip for half the cost. Both are made overseas.
Love the icon knife , but I do very much prefer the details of the Begg original (the production version). I saw an HRC test on the Apex Alchemy RUclips channel . Spoiler alert : it did well . I'm always glad to see more affordable hollow grinds on the market , especially with good heat treats . I'm honestly not that bothered with the design appropriation . Todd's own brother appropriated his designs , after all . I don't think people are cross shopping $40 knives with $120 knives, let alone $1k++ customs .
@@briancampbell6898 oh ya brother, definitely a good amount of knives better in that 30-40 knife category. I was just surprised that this one held up so well in testing.

@@The_RC_Guru haha there’s just no beating that kind of warranty. 40 bucks is well worth it here
Great knife. I love it. Smoothest opening knife that I own.
Thank you for sharing. Great job! I’ve had one for over a year now, and this is really at great knife! I’ve bought two more since! Thanks again.
@@CarlConti I take it. It’s held up really well? And thank you!
@ yes, D2 blade holds its edge, I use it every day!
Nice knife. I like a drop point blade where the tip of the blade is below the centerline of the pivot.
@@geraldroberts4721 definitely! Makes cuts feel much smoother

@@supshirt that’s okay too, sounds like you use your knife a lot more than most of us. There’s definitely better choices in the ergonomics department

Very true! And that’s a solid page right there for testing steels.
Yes I own one and am surprised how good it is plus if anything happens to it just take it in to harbor freight to get the knife replaced
@@chriszeis5477 people underestimate that part so much! Love their warranty
Nice knife for sure but at $40 I would rather have a CJRB Goby at $38 it is a far better knife in that price range.
