I think most of the fans have there preference but if u see everything from messi physique to ronaldo physique both of them uses that in best possible way , messi short has insane dribbling ability , offcourse ronaldo will not have that type of dribbling going to through tight spaces , dribbling is very beautiful to watch so it elevates Messi in fans eyes but in the same way ronaldo is also best he is more dangerous to defend against if he is around box -- shot power lethal , corners heading is insane ( jump) , trickery to dodge opponent ( quick feets ) both foot equally strong , ball control , so i dont see him far behind & he has proven himself in PL , then la liga ,& now seria A coming out of comfort zone & acclimating to different League , & with different clubs & members it makes a difference. Sometimes when I´m watching a Barcelona match, like the one on Saturday against Napoli, I think how can anyone compare Messi to the rest, he is out of this world, the things he does is incredible. Messi is by far better than Ronaldo there really shouldn´t even be a comparison. And I´m not saying Ronaldo is a bad player, far from it, he is an amazing player too. His dedication and hard work is admirable. But it is a fact that Messi is better, you just have to watch him. Remove statistics and Messi is by far better than anyone else. Like Ray Hudson said its not the statistics, its imageable. I also watched the juventus - lyon match and Ronaldo was good, the 2nd goal was amazing. But they are different. Everything Barcelona does in attack goes through Messi, and more times than not is works, but is has also been Barcelonas downfall as they depend too much on Messi´s genius, that is what won us the 2019 laliga and almost got us a treble. You get the ball to Ronaldo he will score a goal. You get the ball to Messi he will score, assist and create a goal. His passing, dribbling and scoring is better than anyones.

I'm a ronaldo fan but even i have to admit messi is a better player than ronaldo. There are aspects were ronaldo is better such as headers and long range, he is also the better finisher, but messi is a better dribbler, better at free kicks (ronaldo has more freekick goals but messi have better ratio than ronaldo) messi is also the better playmaker
I ain't trying to start an argument here, but you say ronaldo is a better finisher... HOW!? Ronaldo is by far better at heading and I'm not disputing that but to say Ron is better than messi at finishing is laughable. The sheer quality difference of the goals between the two should be evident enough. Messi is also a better freekick taker than ronaldo is by some margin. As for long shots..... Ronaldo has to shoot from distance (I'll let you guess why that is) where as messi brings the ball into a much more favorable position before he shoots. This doesn't mean he's worse at long shots. Ronaldo has more muscles in his leg yes, messi is still the better shooter outside of the box which again is evident by the amount of goals he's scored in that area. People always flock to the same examples of ronaldo's feats, the thing with messi is, there's too many to choose from.. that's the difference.

The thing with the 6 titles is because they don’t play only 1 competition during the year, they play 3 (Liga -like NBA-, Copa -a playoff-like tournament with all the teams in Spain, not just the First Division ones, but also the lower divisions, all combined-, and the Champions League -a competition among the best teams of each European country, the jewel of the crown). These 3 competitions are played at the same time, like on Sunday you play a Liga game and on Wednesday you play Champions and Saturday Liga again and Tuesday Copa... So Barcelona won all 3 competitions (only a very limited amount of teams have won all 3 big tournaments the same year), and when you win those, you have access to other competitions that are played only by champions: SuperCopa de España (Liga champion vs Copa champion), European Supercopa (Champions League champion vs UEFA Cup (a “B” class European championship) champion), and World Championship (Champions League champion vs Copa Libertadores (the Champions League of South America) champion). And Barcelona won those 3 too. So in 1 year (2010) they won all 6 tournaments, something that hadn’t happened before and never happened again. And Messi was crucial in all 6 tournaments. If I remember properly, he scored in all competitions and finals.

Messi/Ronaldo is a media driven rivalry, largely in part because they have insane goal records. God given talent though Messi is comfortably ahead, plus him sustaining his levels at one club over 15 years beats Ronaldo jumping from Man Utd to Real Madrid to Juventus - three of the biggest clubs in the world. Barcelona would be mid-table mediocrity right now if Messi left, and he likely finally will in the summer.

1.La liga, it basicly a regular season with 20 teams.
2. Spanish cup, its a tournament held for every team in spain regardless their division to compete without effecting their points in regular season.
3. Champions League, its a tournament between every european leagues champions. Normally teams that place between 1 to 4.
4. World club championship, this one between all clubs around the world.
5. Community shield at least this is what EPL call, this is between regular season champion and spanish cup winner.
6. The last one is i believe there's another one tournament in spanish league, didn't remember what it is..

Messi vs CR7 they are very different in their way in many cases if you wants to point out.
I prefer Messi- my understanding is with Messi it's all about football itself, but with CR7 you have go with football's secondary options like- atletism, different league experience, collective team work to individual leagacy etc.

Messi is an EXTREMELY highly gifted player that put in a lot of work and was groomed to become the greatest since childhood.

Those countries then have different divisions of which la liga is the top tier in spain. All teams in every division take part in the cup competition (spain: copa del Rey). Before the season starts the have one game between the cup winners and league winners of the previous season. The European competition (UCL) is between the top teams of the top leagues in Europe. And the fifa club World Cup is a competition Including the winners of the continent title of each continent (so for Barca that’s the champions league (ucl)). Those are the titles they won in 09
