No Ronaldinho is the Magic Johnson the most flashy player ever and at his peak he was better than both Ronaldo and Messi, but didn't have the longevity. Ronaldo is the LeBron James of soccer and Messi the Michael Jordan of soccer.
You are right about his name, it's basically little Ronaldo, he was the smallest kid in the early days in Gremio (his first team). For me he's one of the best ever for sure, he's career wasn't the longest but he won everything and still to this day one of the most skillfull players ever. He was applauded from the fans from the biggest rival from Barcelona (Real Madrid), this is really rare to happen. And I think u guys would like to see some plays from Ronaldo Nazario "the phenomenon", he was something else too, the best attacker that I saw playing
His career was not the longest because he loved to party and eat steak. Sometimes he even arrived at training sessions hungover, and still gave a show every weekend. Search google images of Ronaldinho and his hard core party lifestyle.
The only other people I know to get applauded from either camp nou or SB is Iniesta, Xavi, Casillas, R9, laudrup, cruyff, Puskus, puyol, Raul and Xabi Alonso
This guy revolutionized football, it’s like a Harlem Globetrotter going to the NBA and winning a chip, being regular season and playoff MVP, go to the hall of fame while not changing his globetrotter kind of game. Ronaldinho took training filed gimmicks, used them in real match situations and made it work at the highest level.
He truly was a magician with the ball, unlike anyone else before or after. The fact that he used the gimmicks in matches as you said, was just unheard of, but amazing nonetheless, breathtaking at times.
in the USA, we need the sports to be like this level, so far only Jordan has managed to elevate a sport in the USA to magic, art, and science level of entertainment!
Everyone loves Ronaldinho. When Ronaldinho scored for Barcelona against their hated enemies, Real Madrid, the Madrid fans stood up to applaud him. I’m a Barcelona fan, but I know that Madrid fans only accept the greatest. They are kind of self-entitled like that, but it also means they know pure gold when they see it. Plus Ronaldinho’s attitude to the game is uplifting. The only other player that got that treatment was Maradonna I believe. Messi is the greatest Barca player, but Madrid fans will never give him a standing ovation.
@@patchoockkmedor2561 Cristiano and Messi are the best players ever, nobody is even near them. so dont say the original ronaldo because Cr7 took over that name.
12:03 This goal is so underrated. Slow this down and see what he did. Surrounded by a crowd of players he can barely even see the goal, he just danced and then shoot the ball. No space, no backlift, the ball went like a bullet straight to the goal. BTW the goalkeeper was Petr Cech, probably the best goalkeeper at that time and one of the best all time. He didn't even get a chance to move. There will never be another goal like this, ever.
The end where you spotted Messi is Messi's first goal for Barca assisted by Ronaldinho, you should check out Brazilian Ronaldo (R9, phenomeno) who played alongside Ronaldinho for Brazil, probably the deadliest striker ever, trust me you will not be disappointed if you like skills, others to consider are current Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, Robinho, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane (incredible captain and leader most players feared) Roberto Baggio, JayJay Okocha, Steven Gerrard, Kaka, goalkeepers Peter Schmeichel, Manuel Neuer and Iker Casillas, 3 of the greats include Pele, Maradonna (who had a cocaine problem but was insane at football) and George Best who played with an alcohol problem..love the reactions and hope you pick a few of these up.
Ronaldinho was the only Barcelona player to have received a standing ovation and applauseby the entire Santiago Bernabeu when he was calling in to be replaced. His performance that day was so good even Real Madrid fans couldn't do anything but applause his performance
He could have been the GOAT but he was too much of a party boy, even though he sometimes missed trainings for going to the club every manager wanted him on their team. But he never reached his extreme athletic and physical potential he was raw talent and magic. He is a still a legend of the game, known as El Mago or La Sonrisa del futbol. (the magician and the smile of soccer)
I remember two games against my club for champions league quarter finals. Our defensive midfield is probably still following him to this day lol, Ronaldinho did nothing in those two games, Barcelona took the win 1-0 agreggate. But Ronaldinho didn't look bad, he was just pure class on the ball, even when he couldnt preform is best for whatever reason. He just put the ball across the pitch right in some other guys feet.
Ronaldinho is the greatest Football instinct to ever kick the ball. Funniest part is he was never serious about it. He used to miss training sessions and party hard.
Don't get me wrong, obviously love people getting to know and reacting to Ronaldinho, he truly is a God of the game, and we probably won't ever see someone like him again, but I think youtubers that react to him should watch a lot of other football players before, and have a really good understanding of the game, so they can actually truly appreciate how good this guy was, to understand how rare it is to find a player like him in terms of entertainment, skill, playing the game like he did and being effective is so damn hard, he literally was worth the ticket.

Ronaldinho is one of the greatest players of this century. At FC Barcelona got to his peak, and it was simply unstoppable. As a Barça supporter you just could be thankful for having him on the team and to be able to watch such an amazing player. But Ronaldinho himself meant a lot more in FC Barcelona. He became the symbol of a change, a new era of the team, after 5 seasons of mediocre players and coaches, and the team barely making it to spanish league access positions to european championships. After 5 terrific seasons, you had a player in the pitch who was just simply having fun playing football, smiling, dancing and reminding everybody how fun football could be, no matter how bad the past seasons were. Perhaps Pep Guardiola's FC Barcelona is one of the greatest teams in football history, but without Ronaldinho wouldn't been possible.

I only prefer watching Dinho play, 'cos he'd do those things against better athletes than during Pelé's era.
Argh, annoyed with football vids that randomly zoom and transition all over the place, you can't truly appreciate the skill involved unless you see the bigger picture and from a standard pov, this is like watching a Goal movie football section
@@michaelpachuau3885 I think that another thing missing in them is the fact that the players he's doing that to... they're elite players as well, world class defenders and world class keepers. Truly Seaman was great , here he got confused because No one had ever shot a direct to gal free kick in this situation. what Ronaldinho did was a perfect shot and one in a 100 chance . the ball seems to go as a cross pass free kick , but mid stops that backspin and gets into a slight front spin perfect to the corner .
At time of his debut in brazil pro league, existed another worldwide famous ROnaldo (brazillian too, playend on PSV, Internazionale, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Milan, etc). So, to make a difference between the two, he was called Ronaldinho (same as little Ronaldo) in our country.
"he is like messi and ronaldo combined" Exactly but he Is like Messi and Ronaldo after a few beers in a lazy day. The most talented player ever. He don´t have haters. In the matter of fact, the keepers, the defense, everyone that was dribled by Ronaldinho says that with pride LoL you know? I think that Sergio Ramos, I can´t remember who said that. "Yeah I had the pleasure of watching Ronaldinho playing but when I look to the left he was in the right and then he was running toward to the goal". LoL I think that the sensation of playing on defense against Ronaldinho was something like "What a ... nevermind!"
Una gran leyenda, este jugador está a un nivel súper alto, cuando jugó en México todos estábamos como wtf porque no creímos que semejante leyenda viniera a un club como Querétaro en México
I love this reaction!! What your man said about Ronaldinho giving half of his skills to Christiano and half to Messi is hilarious. And rings true!! 🤯👌😁
Exactly. He was on top of the world. Won 2 world cups. And for his time Barcelona was the greatest. Of course I would of paritied he nothing else to win. He had won everything. Like how much more can you prove lol. Messi and Ronaldo wish they had what he had. And he did it in a shorter span. Gave the best 8 years of his career and then kicked back.
The goalie who looked so bad when the free-kick came in was David Seaman, actually one of England's best goalies ever. He was still arranging his defence for the incoming pass and wasn't expecting a chipped shot from that distance. What Dinho did was a stroke of genius and even more amazing for his age then. It was at the 2002 World Cup which Brazil ended up winning
a lot of people mention the goalkeepers in these videos but in reality not only are they directing the wall or the defenders, they are constantly being screened by both sides and the ball moves so much faster in real life than on tv or in these highlights. I played for a lot of years and videos never capture how fast a ball is moving and how little time you have to prepare for things like that. It's why keepers need to basically dive left or right on a guess in a direct kick.

"Can you show me someone better than him?" As a Brazilian football journalist, I would say, probably not. In my opinion, Ronaldinho's peak is the highest a player has ever performed. From 2002 to 2006 he won absolutely everything a player could have won. World Cup, National League, Champions League, Club World Championship, you name it. Messi probably had a longer peak than Ronaldinho, but from 2004 too 2006, Ronaldinho was absolutely unreachable as the best player in the world. "Can you show me someone better than him?" But answering your question, I can show you Pelé: ruclips.net/video/ioA0DwrriWM/видео.html You said that if Ronaldo is LeBron and Messi is Kobe, Ronaldinho is Michael Jordan. I would say Ronaldinho is more like Magic Johnson, in a way that his creativity with the ball and the unseen things he did changed the sport. Michael Jordan, as the Greatest of All Time, should be compared to Pelé. Pelé is the only player to win 3 World Cups, two of them as the absolute best player (one of those at age 17, scoring a ridiculously beautiful goal in the WC Finals) and he only wasn't the best of the other one because he got injured midway through. He won everything he could for Santos and the Brazilian national team and has more than 1.000 goals to his name (the 1st ever to do such a feat) in his professional career. I would LOVE for you guys to do a reaction on this video of Pelé. Keep in mind that he did that in the 50s through early 70s, way before Messi, Ronaldo or even Ronaldinho were born. You can say that Messi is the "best" football player of all time and I won't dispute that, but Pelé is the GREATEST, no one had his combination of skill, innovation and simply clutch abilitiy other than him. Messi never scored a goal in the World Cup knockout stages, Pelé took World Cups by himself.
With all due respect mate, how can a football journalist spread bullshit like 1000 goals in Peles professional career. We all know old man counted every single he scored (including friendlies and charity matches). He was good, best at his time, same goes for the likes of Best or Maradonna but with how far football have developed in terms of physicality and tactics, both Ronaldo and Messi are in their own league with their numbers, influence on the team and sheer domination for over 10 years now. As much as people have this tendency to overvalue things from past, it's really between Cristiano and Messi and picking between them is really hard.
@@RecKooo, first of all, don't need to be rude like that. Second, he scored more than 1000 goals, wether you count them or not, those were games. Is a friendly a meaningful game? Probably not. Is it a professional one? No doubt. As I said earlier and don't know if you read before raging into the keyboard. You can say Messi is the "best", or most skilled. Pelé is the greatest. Messi never, I repeat NEVER, scored a goal in the knockout stages of a World Cup. Pelé decided a Final at age 17. Messi never, I repeat NEVER, won a title for Argentina, one of the most traditional national teams in the world. Pelé won 3 World Cups. His clutch gene is unmatched. Know the difference between skill and greatness before you go on raging online.
What does greatness determine though? "Messi never scored a goal in the World Cup knockout stages, Pelé took World Cups by himself."; If this is your only point of view then why not mention messi's other achievements like the most goals scored in one calendar year (91 in 2012), and the player with the most recorded assists in football history (300). Why can't messi be considered 'greater' (hate the word) then?
@@bryndenrivers1697 Messi has around now over 1000 goal/assist in only 800 games, football is alot tougher nowadays and Pele pretty much only played for Santos wich wasnt to much of a challange for him, Pele were very good but would't say he was at Messi, Ronaldinho and Cristiano's level
@@Antee21 as I said before, if you say to me that Messi is "the best" or "most skilled", I wouldn't dispute that fact. As for your argument that "Pelé only played for Santos", heck, Messi only played for Barcelona, would you say Pelé's Santos was a better team than Messi's Barcelona? Probably not. Messi only had success on Barcelona (where he is the centerpiece of their scheme and the whole team plays for him), he failed time and time again on Argentina National team. So, in my view, that tarnishes a little bit of Messi's legacy. I find great for him this alleged move to Man City, or any other team for that matter, so he can prove he can be as successful as he was in Barcelona on other situations as well, because as of right now, he hasn't. The fact that Messi wasn't able to win a single Copa America with Argentina also taints his resumé. Copa America is not a hard to win championship. It is basically Brazil x Argentina with the occasional Colombia, Uruguay or Chile generation. It is pretty much given that every Brazilian and Argentinian generation will win at least one. But Argentina hasn't won since 1993! Messi, the greatest player of his generation, wasn't able to win a mildly easy tournament with one of top2 teams time and time again. Cristiano Ronaldo, his peer and rival, won the EuroCup, a significantly harder tournament, with a lesser team, but Messi flops every time he needs to play for the national team.

You are actually correct. Ronaldinho is for little Ronaldo. His name is Ronaldo de Asis Morera but there was another popular and older Ronaldo in Brazil at that time. Another amazing player you should react to as well. Ronaldo el fenomeno
As a Brazillian, I can definitely recommend some players that have his style. Ronaldinho is prob in the top of all time Brazillian soccer players IMO but look into Robinho, Ronaldo o fenomeno (phenomenon), Pele arguably our Michael Jordan or Wilt, Zeze, Romario, Garrincha, and maybe Zico to round it out. This man was my idol growing up. The time Brazil won the world cup in 2002 was my time getting into soccer but I also recommend the 94' team to look into and the 70' team.

Perhaps Pep Guardiola's FC Barcelona is one of the greatest teams in football history, but without Ronaldinho wouldn't been possible.

a lot of people mention the goalkeepers in these videos but in reality not only are they directing the wall or the defenders, they are constantly being screened by both sides and the ball moves so much faster in real life than on tv or in these highlights. "Can you show me someone better than him?"
As a Brazilian football journalist, I would say, probably not.
"Can you show me someone better than him?"
But answering your question, I can show you Pelé:
ruclips.net/video/ioA0DwrriWM/видео.html
You said that if Ronaldo is LeBron and Messi is Kobe, Ronaldinho is Michael Jordan.
