That was really cool to see how you have your setup. I had no idea grape tomatoes were that much more popular then cherry tomatoes. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks AJ! We've had problems with cherry tomatoes cracking/splitting in the past, but grapes seem to grow really well for us. Hope you and your family are doing well!
But I enjoy making the backpacking and kayaking videos so much more! The farming vlogs are definitely easier and quicker to film and edit though. Thanks for the feedback!
Ruby crush is our other favorite one now. We don’t do succession planting of our grape tomatoes only one planting, and we only harvest them until mid July and then we move on to other outdoor crops. For the beefsteak tomatoes, we seed about five different plantings starting the first week of January for us here in Ohio, and then about every three weeks afterwards. A lot of trial and error involved to get it just right for your operation.
Hey Jason! Awesome video brother!! How do the plants inside the greenhouse get pollinated bees? Or do you have some other method with them being inside?? Thanks and God bless!!🙂👍🍅🍅🍅🍅
Thanks Jay! Yes, we use domesticated bumble bees that get delivered in a box to do our pollinating for the first two months while the side walls are closed up during cold weather, but after that the natural airflow that comes through does a fine job of pollinating them.
Since we only grow determinate grape tomatoes there is no need to prune the suckers or the fruit. The only thing we prune is the bottom 3-4 branches, along with the suckers they have, at the very bottom of the plant a few weeks after transplanting. I’m not sure if this is necessary, but we do it because those suckers are below the trellising string, and they will sprawl out all over the floor and cause a mess.
hello jason my greenhouse is problematic tuta absoluta i can't eradicate harmful insect species is tuta absoluta alive in your greenhouse, if so how do you destroy it?

Hi Jason, how do you time your successions of jolly girl for a full harvest season? You have convinced me to trythem on my farm

@@jasonwish- that's awesome!! Thank you my friend!!🙂🙂👍
How do you prune them? How many per bunch & how many bunches do you allow? Or bc they're determined you just let them go?

Nice looking tomatoes 🍒🍒😋
How long will they stay fresh after being picked? Have a great season 👍🏻
Thanks Tim, so far they are doing really good as long as we keep getting that beautiful sunshine!

I have never had to deal with that insect before so I can't help you with this one, sorry.
@@jasonwish- Do you know this insect species?
@@1Feri I looked it up and that is an insect that we do not have
@@jasonwish- you don't have it because you took precautions against the insect
