Excellent video! The last half of the video was especially helpful for someone like me who is pretty new to coin collecting. Very informative and super helpful to understand how some mint errors occur and what they look like
Wow nice video man and thanks for devoting so much time educating people like me that doesn't know most of these errors you are one of the people and dont even know it, that helped open my eyes to how much value I had in my pocket. Thanks to you and your family for years hard work and dedication
Wow that's unbelievable I just left your half dollar and quarter search on 1/5/19 I have a roll of 1963 d dimes and they're all in Ms 65 and better I also have a roll of 1964 quarters a lot of which have die brakes on the back down the Eagles right wing or on the left side of the reverse of the coin I also found 2 quarters with die brakes on the obverse one of which left a blob of metal on Washington hair they're all in pristine shape as well hopefully these will be worth money one day love all your videos keep them coming please
Just came up with a 1968 dime overstruck on a 1962 D silver dime. Sent to NGC and authenticated as an MS62 example, UNIQUE as far a they were concerned. Any idea what this coin would be worth?
Thanks Mike, already had a 5 figure offer, but figure a dime struck on a nail brought $30K+, this LEGIT error dhould be worth way more.....I see one dealer offering a fairly similiar overstruck Wash. quarter for $100K!!!
Love yr vidios...got bunch of 65...66..67..69..70s dimes...they all weigh diffrent....hard to get them graded..thoe..cant afford to do more than 5...at time.....I'll have to go with Annick s thoe ..there the cheapest...thanks again for vidios
good video JB! I had a question and I thought you might have an answer. FB (full bands) is a designation we all want on dimes but there is also a FT (full torch), do you think a FT is better than a FB designation?
Devil dude - That's why I am here, because I have a 65 dime, that is decent conditions. Looks copper both side. I wonder if the nickel wore off or if being one of the frist nickel covered dime, it got printed wrong. Seems the deep areas would still have nickel but it doesn't. I don't have a way to weight it, which is what they recommend.
I have several of these that appear to be full silver. No coppery line on any edges at all. Still perfectly shiny too. Been sitting in a bag untouched for ove 50yrs apparently. How do i get them graded?
Hi came across your channel in a news bulletin. I just checked my dimes (only have a few now) I do have a 1965 with what looks like a stamp mark below the ear, do you have anything on this?
I have a 1965 silver dime that is 2.5 grams and is broadstruck. I have yet to hear about this error and it most certainly exists. My question is do I have the only one ? If so what can of value could that be to a serious collector. Thanks keep up the good work
I have 4 65, sms dimes, 1 has a cameo appearance, and toned, not in the package. Do you think I should send it in regardless of it not in it's package?
I have a 1968 proof, the torch flame is not a high relief that was supposed to be on it. I have 2 69 proofs that do. Is this typical of a 68, not having the high relief reverse?
Good Morning! I really enjoy your vids. I have learned SO MUCH from them & TY in a BIG Way. I do have a question regarding the "clad" coins. I continually cone across dimes & quarters that look as if they are not 'finished' because the fields have a graphite- pencil grey color to them yet the devices appear to have the ability to "shine" just by using a Q-Tip or soft cotton/terry cloth towel. What causes this? Again, TY for sharing your knowledge & taking the time to help us "Newbies", if you will. Have a terrific weekend!
so then if there is no way to tell if it's an SMS set unless they are in the cellophane could u say that maybe some of the highest graded coins maybe came from an SMS set and they didn't tell the grading company?! I mean could it happen that way?!
I’ve got a 65 that looks and sound like a silver. It almost sounds like a fake dime, different from my other silvers or clads. It has no pink on the edge and feels light. It weighs 2.22. I wish there was a way to post pics in the comments.
I have one if these and it almost looks like it has almost been struck twice? though... and, it also concaves very deeply at the edge towards his head though... How do I go about submitting it to get valued... Thanks for your time... RandyEvans82
John Wexler doubled dies site, coin examination, he has complete instructions on how to submit for attribution of whatever variety or error you have and the grading company will take that at gospel and issue and grade accordingly. Good Luck, J&B
What would happen if you have a SMS, 65, dime, not in its package, and submit to get graded? Would it be worth it?, would they not grade it? Curious mind's have to know 😎😃
I got a 1965 dime and it looks like it doesn't any coating on it. Have pic's can't pick them on here. Do you have a way for me to send them to you. Thanks Tim
I have a five gallon Sparklets container full of change. I've been putting my pocket change in it since 1994 and I have found many of the 1969s pennies and the 1999s and the 1999d also. How would I go about selling them.
Great information. Now that I’m retired I have time to go through my coins. Thanks J & B for your videos. God bless.
