I respectfully hate you. Hahaha. I was 12 when they went to Argentina during the UYI tour (two times in 7 months 🤦🏻♂️) and my parents didn't let me go. There was really bad press about them as we all know, but there, a 15 yo girl shot herself because her father saw her outside the hotel when she was supposed to be at school and forbid her to attend the concert (then when he found her he shot himself too). I had to wait 23 years to see them in Brazil, but of course, it was not the same. Plus, the second concert in Argentina was the last one of that era... I can relate to the bit about trying to cope with work as well as doing mental health therapy, as I was ordered to by my then employer. It was just too hard to cope with trying to do quality work AND also the cope with the demands such therapy imposed, plus extra hours of daily commuting to do it, on top of hours of my normal work commute I did. I love Nirvana but also Guns and obviously guns first when my dad bought me AFD cassette while on a boat to Ireland when about 8/9 and I chose it simply coz the album cover looked cool and I couldn't believe it when I heard it before it was MJ, NKOTB, Jason Donavon 😂 then heard AFD guitar music forever more. It's wrong when people say Nirvana got rid of Guns, they got rid of alot of silly hairbands but so did guns who weren't a hair band, Guns was massive at the same time as Nirvana. Guns destroyed themselves!!
That fitness gizmo sounds so cool. When you think of how much time, energy, money is wasted on gym, not only the exerting time but also travel to gym, endless showering, changing gym gear then out into other clothes and general stuffing around with gym and fitness. Oh, and we haven't even touched on the high cost of doing gym, not to mention all the pollution and planet harm it causes, as those gym machines like treadmills require fossil burning fuels that generate electricity to run them. So, for those 'Save The Planet' freaks who are also such gym fanatics, there a flaw in your rationality. You really do need to figure out where this obvious logical discrepancy is. In other words, put your money where your mouth is. You don't save the planet by doing daily electricity powered gym work outs. Maybe if you only used your own bodily energy to get fit. But, why on earth would you waste your rnergy doing such worthless, unproductive fitness? When you could get even fitter, slimmer still, by doing real, PRODUCTIVE hard physical work? To make money, produce something of real value for others? And also get fit yourself. Unless your career involves being a top athlete, gym is a total waste. And, even top athletes train without any gym. They just get moving, have the necessary self discipline to do whatever they must t o get into peak performance condition anywhere, even with no gear to train on.

One of my theories is Axl was hugely influenced by The Stones tour in 1981. If you watch the concert film “Let’s Spend The Night Together” and check out Jagger’s wardrobe and that stage set up - it has a lot of similarities to what Axl was going for; Jagger in designer outfits and spandex pants running across these huge stages with ramps. Axl has said in interviews too he got a chance to observe Jagger on the Steel Wheels tour and see how he conducted his onstage and offstage business. Long rambling theory but yeah Stones ‘81! 😝
