Kiss was my first concert too 7/3/79.....Nantucket opened for them but Kiss rocked greensboro that night ! Glad to see them inducted in such a fine manner , Tom Morello did one hell of a great job !
I'm a Kiss fan, but I'm not a blind follower. I have a lot of criticism for many things the band has done over the years. However, them being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a no brainer. Classic Kiss was the epitome of what rock and roll was/is about.
I was never a KISS fan till I saw this incredible introduction Tom Morello made. My favorite bands: Metallica, Pantera, Alice in Chains, Rage Against The Machine, and even Anthrax, were influenced by this band. And I'm glad to be considered a KISS fan!
I am glad you are a Kiss fan now!!! Kiss, Led Zeppelin, and AC/DC are my personal favorite bands of all time!!! Music is funny though, because there are a ton of more bands that I love as well, Music is always debatable, nobody is totally right when you argue best or not!!! I do think however that Zeppelin is the best hands down, even though I love Kiss more!!! Plant, Paige, Bonham, and Jones!!! Not many people will argue they were the best!!!
Tom Morello is most recognized for his guitar playing, though I think this shows he's first and foremost a public speaker. Seriously. I'm not even a Kiss fan, but this is one of the best speeches on any subject that I've ever heard. If you want to see that Harvard brain of his at work while hidden in plain site, look no further.
