I was struggling for a while but I figured if I’m able to get a finger on my eyeball then to minimize the amount of steps let me just pinch it straight away. I kept moving it to the side at first and I wouldn’t be able to pinch it out
For beginners this is the video that helped the most for me and was the least difficult. To remove the contact it is very important your finger is really dry!

My issue is blinking..i have one in my eye now that i can't get off, yet
