4:02 Funny, I just watched Red Light a few days ago-I even commented about it on your Noir Alley video you uploaded a few years ago. George Raft is one of my favorite noir actors, and Red Light is fantastic. Eddie doesn't seem to think Raft is a very emotive actor, and maybe he's got something there. Raft had to grow on me a bit, but I now find him a very enjoyable actor to watch, and he's made some excellent noir contributions like Nocturne, A Dangerous Profession, Race Street, Intrigue, and so many others.
Much obliged for the uploads. I'm going to pass on Woman on Pier 13 for now. I've got a few Noir Alley backlogged features to get to. It's nice to know when I'm ready, I can come back to your channel and bookend my viewing experience with your convenient intro and outro uploads.
    Keep doing what you're doing!

There have been a number of features lately that I haven't been able to see. This one, for one. And the film Tomorrow is Another Day. Also, the Mitchum movie he did recently entitled The Locket. I usually like to keep up with Noir Alley, but I have been falling behind lately. I don't have TCM, but even if I did, watching films on other people's schedules just doesn't work for me. I prefer to just watch something when I'm ready to watch it. For those reasons, I like to digitally rent the films he has on Noir Alley, or watch them on RUclips if they're unavailable (I prefer renting because it usually has the subtitles). But in a lot of cases, the films aren't on RUclips or are unavailable to rent. So I will try to pick up the DVD or Blu Ray-most importantly, for the subtitles. I can't watch a movie unless I can read the dialogue at the same time. It's not always easy to hear what is being said on screen, despite the fact that I wear headphones. I can hear it; I'm not hard of hearing, but I want to know what exactly is being said. In a lot of cases, subtitles aren't available on DVDs. On Blu Ray, I found that they're available about 95% of the time. And more care is usually put in to the process as far as picture quality. So that's usually how me and this program kind of fight each other to watch.

Thanks for posting! 🎉 Hollywood was big on "I Married a ____" titles. "I Married a Witch", "I Married a Nazi', & so forth. Eye-catching phrase, yes? There was "I Married an Angel", "I Married a Monster from Outer Space" (1958). At least he wasn't a Commie!

'I Married a Communist (1950)' one of my favorite titles from the era.

Just had chance to watch this film. I couldn't tell you who the woman on Pier 13 is, but I can say that this was a terrific picture. Short but sweet, wasting no time to do what it needed to do. The cast was terrific, as well. Janis Carter and Thomas Gomez really made this picture. Robert Ryan and Larraine Day were excellent, but Carter and Gomez steal the show. Janis Carter was just as venemous as she was in Night Editor, and it was such a treat having her cast here. Gomez was scarily effective in his role. He plays some bad people in other films, but here he's especially ruthless and inhuman. The scariest thing though is how The Party is depicted as needing a person only while they're useful. Once you are no longer useful, you cease to be human. I'd say on the whole this was a good pick by Eddie.

Thomas Gomez was always enjoyable to watch. I especially like him in 'Force of Evil (1948)' where he thoroughly commits to the theatricality and rhythm of the script. Also great fun in the original Twilight Zone, Season 1 Episode 6 'Escape Clause'.

@@NoirFan77Escape Clause was a memorable episode. The story is kind of silly, but Gomez is great in it. I saw Force of Evil as well last year. It's no surprise that's one of your favorite Gomez performances. He delivers a powerful performance. You've probably seen him in Phantom Lady, right? And he was also really good in Johnny O'Clock, one of my favorites of the genre.

@@BickBenedict1 I try to catch Gomez wherever I can and so far I've been doing all right. Along with the ones you mentioned, I'll add 'Ride the Pink Horse (1947)'. Excellent film and the lead Robert Montgomery was terrific. An almost completely unsympathetic good guy. He didn't play it to please the audience.
