Bodge? The detailing is really lovely, Andy: just enough to add character without dominating the rebuild. Great colour, too. I take it the work period was Dalwhinnie-free at the time of recording! I must have a look for a couple of those old Dinky racers to do, just for the fun of them, and for a separate display. Really nice job! You must have heard me shouting "wheels!" just before you popped the base on!
Thank you Paul. Yes an easy fix to swop tyres next time I place an order for parts. I do try to buy every model intact but given the age of some and the tough life they have had it’s not always possible. Thank you for watching, very much appreciated 👍
Very good observation Bob. In the heat of a restoration the obvious is not always obvious. Thank you for watching and commenting, it is very much appreciated 👍
Excellent job Andy. Thank you for sharing. I have one of these in my "stash" awaiting my clumsy attempt to restore it.
Thank you for watching. They are lovely to do. 👍
In my opinion, the 50’s Dinky GP and Le Mans cars have a special feel about them. 😀
They certainly do Andy. Thank you for watching and commenting 👍

Very nice! In my opinion, all diecast vehicles should have a driver!
Yes it’s better if you have a driver though not always possible. Thank you for watching 👍

Yes it was a Dalwhinnie free build. I do love these old racers, they have a charm about them.
You made a good job of that Racer andy.
Thank you John. I’ve done 2 of these now.👍
G'day to you, job well done Squire,I think you shouldn't have too much trouble fixing said Tyre!

Love the British racing green
I think next time I do one of these I will dunk the whole car in warm water to start.👍 And get the tyres off first.
