Wow, ty for this review, I couldn’t find anything helpful online, to show me what it was like, and ty for going in to so much detail, very helpful, have ordered one based on this review, as a gift for my husband. 👍🏼
Wow!… Thanks for the kind comment Jessica, your husband will love it. At some point I will be putting up a review on the next model up, the XL. I know what you mean about some reviews. I probably went into too much detail but figured somebody might find some element of it useful. Thanks again.
thank you for the kind comment…. I do have many more videos in the pipeline…. If there is anything you would like me to cover in relation to photography or tactical gear please let me know….. My other channel link re tutorials is on the ‘about page’ “Bears Adventures”… take care and thanks again.
I got mine today, and I love it! It is so fun! I did buy a new, good, red dot sight, and dialed it in. Still fairly accurate at 20 yards, but around 15 yards I would say is the maximum distance for good accuracy. I replaced the factory red dot, with a Crossfire red dot from Vortex.
So pleased you like it for what it is… I totally agree with you, it’s fun. Also equally pleased you popped on a decent sight… I really must get my act together as I have the XL variant of this bow to edit and also a 450 rated Bear crossbow..
@johnlavin-ford8372 wonderful! I would love to see more of your videos in the future! And it is a standard sight rail, so any normal sight can go on it.
@@johnlavin-ford8372 you’re welcome. I’ve been eyeballing this crossbow pistol and your review convinced me to pull the trigger (see what I did there) and order it yesterday.
Hi again, I also have the XL version of this crossbow which in my opinion feels like an AR15 lol… its only £25 more… I promise i will put a video up with that one too.
It’s even easier to deal with the stringer length. ADJUST IT. I had never seen this device before or strung a bow I was baffled but after some small adjustments the stringer works fine

This is most certainly not good enough for accurate hunting buddy… unless you can be lucky enough to get something small enough at 10-25 feet… I have read and re read the part where I mention it being used for hunting … I can’t see it mate… I would definitely accept the critique if o could see it … thanks for the comment …😊
The stringer cable that came with mine was adjustable. I had to make it as short as possible to bend the limb enough to put the string on. To cock the crossbow with the stringer on, I put the tip on the ground leaning forward in order to pull it all the way back.

17:29 I would probably get a new red/green dot sight. They're quite inexpensive, and better to use than iron sights. You can of course get good accuracy with the iron sights with practice if they are sturdy and consistent, but it's easier with a red/green dot. The Hori-Zone Redback deluxe comes with a pretty good red/green dot sight, and I think these can be bought separately 20 quid on Amazon, maybe even cheaper if you try Aliexpress or Ebay or something.
I quite agree…. I’ve actually got another red dot sight which I use on the Desire XL… video will be coming soon. Thank you for being kind and giving good advice.

Oil the rail DO NOT WAX YOUR BOUND AREA. You do not want to lubricate the area you want to have a “grip” or friction to the bolt.

You have to shorten the stringer. It will work as long as it is short enough to pull back the limbs enough to put on the actual string.
