Aren’t there heavier trailers? Because the longer the “thing”, the less the trailers weight for the truck. The trailers are still in a flat surface when the truck already passed the mountain, so they barely affect the weight.
There's a mod for the flatbed trailer to have 1, 2 or 3 20t steel loads. You can also add a dolly with a tow hitch and *try* to tow it with a Covet if you wish
It should have been multiple cola trailers after like two/three 5 tonners, I would imagine there must be a dolly for beam somewhere, because with the 25+5+5+5+5+... config the hill is not long enough, so when you get the first trailer to the top you are set.
This is exactly what I came here to say. It could pull 1000 tonnes. As long as it can roll them while flat it can pull any amount of small trailers up the hill.
@ he is not pulling the trailers uphill as it should for a real test. The proper way to do it is to have all the trailers on the Incline simultaneously. This way the resistance actually increases with every additional weight. Reaching top while some trailers are still at the bottom and calling it a win is cheating. Like Ford did with its electric pickup when they showed it towing 1000 tonnes of train cars.
I had that aswell once when a car crashed with extreme amounts of speed and it causes the instability error. After I reset the car I had - infinity aswell lol
I feel like 3:00 could've made it if it had a manual transmission. With automatic transmissions, there is basically always slip unless you're in a 1:1 gear. Also, it was in 2nd gear while it was doing that; it never upshifted into 1st while in Drive mode. At least manually putting into 1st gear probably would've made it possible.
Use the manual transmission ffs. At 4:16 you can clearly see, the power is not getting to the wheels, you have 300hp at the flywheel and 40hp at the wheel
@@yoson8525 Dude, I don't know how realistic this game is, but irl the automatic transmission would slip like mad (like it did here), and thus very little power actually gets to the wheel. I tend to believe the physics of the game are good enough so that a manual would help.
@@MrRobot-ry7ky automatics in beamng do not slip until some weird inertia limit that kinde breaks them. Anyway, its past 5000hp so they dont slip without mods.
@@yoson8525 It's in 2nd gear, there was a gear change just after the truck started accelerating (at 11 MPH) and just before starting going up the hill. The automatic transmission changes smoothly and it barely gets noticeable! edit: I checked the app afterwards and the gearbox did downshift to 1st! It seems that the gearbox is so smooth I didn't even notice the downshift!
I think that for these types of pulling tests to be valid the rear differential ratio MUST be similar to what's used in real trucks! I.E. 4.56:1 4.10:1 3.73:1 3.55:1 only with lower tranny gears
If you're going to use an automatic, at least lock it in M1 or M2, those first few attempts I think would've made it in 1st but you were in at least second, think I only heard one shift
If you go for the 3.55 diff ratio, get the 18 speed road ranger, T600 turbo. You could tow 60 tons on one trailer up that hill. i use the fifth wheel dolly mod to allow for a B trailer config. And just got a mod recently that allows to modify the flatbed loads for a 50 ton excavator + 10 tons of concrete barriers.
Add on another 100tons, it sits on a flat surface. Nice video, lol at the comment about your PC. BTW, good luck driving this road train out of this track👍
@@William_35 but did you buy Automation as a companion? I went 2 yrs, well I've had Beam for 2yrs, and remember Automation being said to work as a team, just bought it last week...I spend hours building a car and then get to export it to Beam and drive it.
You still used a automatic 😐 use a manual so this engine doesn't sit there and barely move it would actually be a "motor" test this is just a damn torque converter stall test
It was actually getting easier, after the 5th trailer. Because partly the mass on flat ground (roughly two trailers at least), was actually pushing you at the beginning. Newtons first law says, "Objects in motion tend to stay in motion, unless acted upon by an opposing force". Once they had momentum, they were essentially pushing you. This game actually follows real physics, when not pushed to extremes
The manual would burn the clutch almost immediately in such a test! An automatic transmission has zero risk of burning the clutch and it also offers more linear control of the power application!
Forgotten Mustard you do know semi’s have interaxel and diff locks in the real world making them drive all 8 wheels, right? (Reference actual truck driver)

I wanna know how to be able to do all this kind of stuff for myself because I have it on my PC and all that and normally I’m just messing around with cars but this looks cool
Instead of 5 ton trailers, why not use other T series trucks, or just make the TastiCola trailer heavier? A lot of the 5 ton trailers were on flat ground at the bottom.

there's a mod I know of that had a trailer with adjustable weight but it messes up the suspension
It matters if it gets to the top
There's a mod for the flatbed trailer to have 1, 2 or 3 20t steel loads. You can also add a dolly with a tow hitch and *try* to tow it with a Covet if you wish
it still has to haul them on flat ground while others are on the hill then they get to go up the hill. stupid
The more trailers you add after about 4 doesn’t really matter because once the truck is over the hill gravity does the rest
@SonsyWhale but gravity still helps a lottt once the truck starts down the hill.
Nice understanding

you should try doing a lot of torque but no hp v.s. a lot of hp but no torque pulling compilation

The problem is starting in first gear with low torque. You need a crawl gear for it to go up that hill, or build up speed before the hill
A lot of hp wins, since gear ratio
