    I tried this for a week and my wrist pains are gone and the best part is I am able to lift heavier weights in all my exercises. I was stuck on same weights for almost 45 days and wasn't able to increase weights but this did the trick in just one week. Thanks doc. Strong hands wrists and forearms are most important for any heavy weight training exercises.

      +Dr Levi Harrison Firstly, that video is extremely well made, thank you. Secondly, I injured my right wrist and elbow while snowboarding nearly a year ago. My wrist took the direct impact and extended while one of the two bones in my forearm that connect at the elbow got dislocated. For the most part, it is ok now but I do not have full motion like I had previously, or compared to my left arm. While doing the exercise in which I extend my wrists upward I can really feel the restriction of motion, the right wrist cannot get as vertical as the left, and my ring finger stops moving an inch before all the others. Is there anything I can do to help try and get the full motion back?

    I am an artist and fiddle player, I found this video through a google search looking for exercises to strengthen my forearms to help with my favorite aforementioned activities. I finally feel capable of helping myself in this way thanks to your video, instant sub from me! Thank you dr Levi! I love that you’re the ‘gamer & esports’ guy bc, while it’s obvious you are very fit, it’s refreshing to find someone who doesn’t direct their videos towards the sports/body building community and are actually focusing on people who use their hands/wrists a lot and although I’m an artist and musician and not a gamer, it feels more like this exercise is for me. I’m a small woman w very slender arms/hands/wrists/etc & building strength has always been too intimidating and I never felt quite sure I was doing the exercises right, until I found you that is. Again, many thanks from this fiddlin girl! 🎻
    edit: I just glanced through your videos and I cannot wait to make my way through them, especially the musician ones, what a gift to the world! Musicians, baristas, seamstresses, etc all need conditioning exercises too and you’re giving that gift to the world 💙💙💙

    I do these plus the wrist twist: while resting your forearm on your thighs, hold the dumbbell vertical and turn the wrist from -90deg through +90 deg and back (like turning a key) for a count of 1. Then repeat for a count of 2 and so on. Do 3 sets of 20. Do this one slowly and don't be tempted to use heavy weights in the beginning. ALWAYS, "Reps rule Weight" - unless you're into body building. Best wishes.

    I been experiencing some minor wrist pain while drumming recently, it's definitely an outcome of repetition. I've been playing the drums for 9 years now and I've never really worked out my wrists, forearms or hands. This is probably exactly what I need. I'm going to start this right now and I'll see if I feel better in 2 to 3 weeks.
    wish me luck! I'm hoping for the best.

      +TasosEG I was able to see tremendous improvements with my wrist pain. It's difficult to do at first when you start off you'll feel sore and almost feel like you have tennis elbow, but after you get over that I definitely can say that this is one of the best decisions I've made in a while. Just start slow and keep doing it. Goodluck!

    Today I just did this exercise for the first time and i actually feel stronger on my forearm and very little pain on my wrist. Now I know I have to strengthen my muscles to prevent injuries like this! Thank you so much doctor 🙏

    Hi doctor ! I've just now discovered your videos and i got a question. for the past 6 months i've been experiencing forearm pain. I do not have any numbness in the hand/fingers. Obviously i went to my local doctor and explained to him that i usually am at a pc for about 8h a day, and my right forearm is hurting from the wrist to the elbow. We talked about overuse and stuff and he reccomended a electromyography exam wich i did and guess what, nothing wrong with my arm. I don't think this is tendonitis/carpal tunnel syndrome as i haven't got any symptons except for the forearm pain. But my real question is, should i still apply this exercises if im already in pain ? Also can you reccomend something other than rest for forearm treatment ? I just stopped using the computer for 2 weeks but it seems like after 3 or 4 days of starting to use the pc the pain comes back again.

    • @pedrocosta8658
      @pedrocosta8658 2 года назад

      @@brucewayne3161 yeah, after enduring the pain for some time I visited a physiotherapist who found out some things weren't right in my body. I had my chest, legs and back muscle all shortened. Turns out that this was the cause for my pain, especially the chest muscles which prevented that enough oxygen traveled to my forearms when I were in certain positions. If u are in this situation I strongly advise you to look at your whole body. My forearm and elbow pain had nothing to do with my arms, it was all about other parts of the body that I didn't even know were fucked up and interfere with that pain. Even my leg muscles (the ones near the buttocks on the rear side of the leg, I don't remember the name now) had bad postural effects, they were shortened so they caused my back to curl and then my chest also became shortened because of the amount of time I spent sitting and curling my shoulders.

    Every few months my left arm/wrist/hand grows feeble and a bit sore. I was worried it might be carpal tunnel, but my doctor said it looks more like a simple repetitive strain injury. I work at a computer all day and when I'm not, one of my hobbies is gaming. It's definitely an issue caused from typing excessively.

    My wrist and and forearm feels great after doing these exercises
    One question tho. My wrists (especially my left) keeps popping during the exercises. It doesn't really hurt but I'm afraid of injuring it again. Is the popping normal or should I stop?

    • @Drleviharrison
      @Drleviharrison  9 лет назад +91

      Hi Theophilus,
      Often, popping in the joint is due to nitrogen bubbles, which are being released in the joint. This is usually not a problem, especially since you don't have pain. Consult with your doctor just to be evaluated clinically. I wish you the best. Keep on exercising!
