RATM wasn't just Zack, it wasn't even primarily Zack. It was all four of them with absolutely brilliant chemistry that hasn't been matched since. One Day As A Lion, just like this song are the same travesty as Audioslave and Prophets of Rage, a brilliant recipe missing key ingredients. Doesnt make it bad, just incomplete. And what am I doing here? Maybe because I actually like the song? I'm just not silly enough to throw out notions that Zack would ever thrive without Tom, Brad, and Tim to any level close to what Rage accomplished.

People don't give Zack enough credit as a lyricist. He's messages are very complex to the casual listener. I always see people in the comment section writing "what does he mean when he says...?" Definitely underrated.
Zack creates subliminal meaning using powerfull words and notes. All his songs are about the state of existence which cover thousands and thousands of individual subjects

Zack has an unmistakable and super unique cadence, but his aesthetic and lyrics are bleak as the Arctic. Without those ultra-catchy Rage riffs behind him...I dunno. Sounds monochrome. I'm still excited though.
