    God am I glad I saw this video. Was about to buy this tap for a new house I'm building. We have a lot of other Grohe stuff for the bathrooms and I figured they'd also work for the kitchen. Clearly not. Such a shame, we wanted to get one in brass/gold and it doesn't appear any other manufacturers make that aesthetic.
    Thanks for the video though. Saved me a lot of heartache.

    Hello. Congratulations on giving this excellent review. I totally coincide with your comments (pros and cons) I suggest Grohe to hire you before launching a new product. I was about to buy that tap but, the same as you, I would not like to lose the spray function and the high water pressure which I enjoy so much. You did not save me from wasting 475 dollars but twice that amount because as I live at the other side of the continent I should have paid lots of taxes and the delivery charges. Many many thanks!!!

    Thank you for the video. I brought mine over 8 months ago but haven’t install it yet. This model was meant to be for a bar sink, this explains why there is hardly any water pressure/spray option. Do you think there is a water saving valve that can be remove? I’m disappointed on both water pressure and arm reach.

    • @Isitworthitreviews
      @Isitworthitreviews  2 года назад

      If you check out my install video, they do have you install this piece thats about 1/2 inch in size between your water-in line and the faucets braded water hoses. I think that *could* be a reducer.. I thought of it too late to test

  • @sofobrac
    @sofobrac 3 года назад +1

    Sorry for being late, but I've been wondering after seeing some feedback on this faucet on Amazon, about the high pressure being too high and the low pressure not low enough, which would seem to be the opposite problem than you're describing in the video. Perhaps you could clarify whether you've made sure the input valve underneath the sink (or any other valve before that) was sufficiently open? Apologies if you've already mentioned that in the video and I missed it. p.s.: I was considering this faucet after ruling out the 'touch control' design that seemed to be too unreliable based on other reviews, but after research and you video I finally opted for a more traditional design, which turned out to be cheaper than this and in a Supersteel finish at the same time :)

    • @Isitworthitreviews
      @Isitworthitreviews  3 года назад +1

      For me, the water valve was sufficiently open and the water pressure was still very poor. My only thought is that there are these little valves they have you put on that connects the water lines to the faucet hoses (you can see them in my installation video) that might be restricting the water flow.
      Theoretically you can connect the faucet hoses directly to the water lines. I did not try that as I wanted to follow the directions exactly.

    Thanks for the video. One point about your explanation of least-most water pressure. May be, it best suits when you have your pressure pump installed. With just the normal gravity pressure, this control might be useful. Just my 2 cents!

    Great video and analysis. Can you comment more on the temperature control? My use case i usually use it at coldest temperature (tropical climate). However, there are times when I like the mixer to work and get the temperature right and accurate. I have grohe thermostatic shower mixer and it works very well (38C). How easy is it to get to the right temperature?

    • @Isitworthitreviews
      @Isitworthitreviews  4 месяца назад

      Oh it is not hard at all. You move it one way for more cold and the other for more hot. The difference with normal kitchen faucets and this one is that most normal kitchen faucets the temperature control is the same lever as turning the water on and off.. On this model they are separate.. so there is one lever for just turning the water on and then there is a separate control not tied to that which controls temp.

    I wonder what would happen to the high flow if you had much higher pressure in your system. Judging from your video I would say I have a much higher pressure in my system. My faucet moves/travels up quite bit from the counter force when I turn on full flow.
    Does it say in the instructions say anything about recommended pressure?
    What water pressure do you have?

    As mentioned before, there is water flow adjustment screw in it. First you need to turn the water pressure knob anti-clockwise (all the way to the left). Then remove the round cap on top(front) of this knob. Put utility blade under it and wiggle around. When you remove this round plate, you can remove the whole knob and then you’ll see tiny screw which when you turn clockwise you decrease water pressure, when turned anti-clockwise you increase water pressure.

      It's not compatible with other control options, confirmed by Grohe directly when considering my options. Makes sense since the manual shut-off is at the very outlet, for Foot control, Touch control you connect an alternative pathway with a magnetic valve that circumvents the manual valve.

    Life hack for you: the best way to clean a blender is give it a quick rinse, then squirt some dish soap in there, add water to about the halfway mark, put the lid on and blend it. This way the soap and water combine into a frothy soapy lather and the whole thing gets cleaned, and you just dump it out and rinse and you're all done. You're welcome!

      I just put an $99 Glacier Bay on (possible review coming) and the pressure is intense.. I think the problem with this Grohe is that it is meant as a secondary sink, like a bar sink (as comments have told me). If you check out my installation video you will see that they had you install these pieces on the water inlet. I am guessing (only guessing) that those pieces installed on the water inlet, reduce the water pressure.
