3 Pro Tips When Painting Bathrooms

- Here’s 3 painting tips that will help you have a quality paint job in your bathroom.
1. Determine whether to paint the ceiling white or wrap it with the wall color.
Most new construction painting wrap bathrooms (wall and ceiling color are the same) because it’s easy. Changing the ceiling to white makes your bathroom look bigger and more expansive.
2. Remove fixtures snd towel bars. (Leave anchors on wall).
You get a much better finish removing the fixtures rather than using a brush to cut around them.
3. Use a high quality Kitchen and Bath paint!
In wet rooms (bathrooms) you need durable paint that is washable. Especially if there’s poor ventilation.

Honestly I watched this whole thing and I don't even need to paint anything
Doesn't matter. You still learned something...
Thanks for the video 👍
Use Benjamin Moore Aura Bath And Spa Paint. The only thing that stopped the condensation from running down our walls after a hot shower.
Yes, Ben Moore Aura bath and spa paint is probably the best bathroom paint on the market. It’s durable, washable and comes on a Matt finish. Plus it travels and glides really nice when applying it.
Oooh, some good questions in the comments. I’ll be painting my bathroom in the next couple weeks, so good timing. 💕
Thanks for your comment.
❤Thank you Paul🎉🎉🎉
You’re welcome. Let me know if you need any help painting your bathroom!
I have yet to find a video talking about primer. If it's necessary for bathrooms since it has a special bathroom paint. If primer is required or not.
A primer coat is usually not needed, provided that you clean the walls and sand them to a dull finish first. The only time a primer coat is required is if there’s mold/mildew growth present or if the previous coating was an alkyd (oil paint) and you’re painting the new coat with acrylic latex. I always recommend using a high quality kitchen and bath paint for bathrooms.
What sheen?
Generally speaking the higher the sheen the more durable and cleanable. Bathrooms are usually eggshell or semigloss. However if you’re using a high quality bathroom specific paint - like Sherwin Williams Duration or Ben Moore Aura Bath and Spa, you can use a flat sheen.
is Resistant strong enough? I take some pretty long, steamy showers
Resistant?
You mean Duration? The fact is, if you don’t have proper ventilation in a bathroom, then it doesn’t really matter what paint you use. Duration is a good product and there’s other good bathroom products from Benjamin Moore and Dulux as well.
How do you paint behind a toilet?
I made a video explaining it here. ruclips.net/video/1Q1r5YHd55k/видео.htmlsi=JA_ntnN92HjN6Z9m
You have to completely remove all windows 😂 just kidding use a small roller called a wisy
@@artistfrank8511 that’s right… either use a whizz roller or a ‘mohair’ roller. (Even smaller)
What sheen is best for the bathroom and in particular the ceiling
Good question. Generally, a higher sheen paint is more durable (and cleanable) - like a semigloss or satin. However Ben Moore Aura Bath and Spa is one of the best bathroom paint products and ONLY comes on a Matt (flat) finish. I would recommend using a Kitchen and Bath specific product for any bathroom. I hope that helps answer your question. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Auraaaaaa
Aura Bath And Spa is probably the best bathroom paint. But it’s damn expensive!!
Watery paint and very expensive, seems like a Sherwin Williams ad
Fair enough. I don’t think it’s watery at all. And I wish I was paid by SW for this video lol. What product do you recommend using in bathrooms. Shed some light please.
Please spit out the gum before talking to your audience. Thank you for the advice
