I just discovered ‘Escape to the Country’ here on RUclips. Thank you, as I enjoy the show. It used to be on the DABL channel here in the USA, but not anymore, it seems. (I sent them a polite message about my feelings😕 about it.)🌺
Another wonderful episode, thanks so much! The part about the culm grassland was very interesting. I'm also very happy that this couple has found the perfect home for their little family and their business. Perfect!
I hope they’re very happy. Lovely place to grow up. Certainly, she seems motivated to earn an income. Still, I wonder how they’ll support that big home with all those out-buildings and roofs… I hope she is practical enough to keep it all going!
WOW I would have bought the tearoom. With 2 B&B's plus tearoom, the income would have been around $300,000. There's no way they will ever make that with their plans. The tearoom, lease out or hire a manager. Then go buy the dream house with 5 acres and install a yurt or 2. Like I said, WOW
I hope their considering what life for their boy will be like as well. Didn’t hear too much about that. While I’m sure he’ll find his way, I hope he’ll be considered in the move. The couple seems nice but mom gives the impression of being a big dreamer who dreams often and ever changing. Maybe spontaneous. Just an impression, I could be completely mistaken.
I think the home attached to the tea room was rather shabby. I would be very disappointed if I was on the show and they showed me that. The couple never once mentioned what might be best for their son with any property. It was pretty sad to tell the truth 😢
I’m so disappointed that they didn’t show the whole of the first and second property. I watch this to see the houses not to see people who have moved to the area. I don’t have any interest in leather work. How am I going to decide which property I like best if I only see a small portion of the property. You rushing to get around the houses these days and it’s not as enjoyable for the viewer.
Oh Yey/... its been a while since I agreed with the showings AND the couple...lovely people and gorgeous number one was my choice too. So glad they made the offer and it was accepted. I wish the owners a good life moving forward and congratulate Colin & Sally on their new life and business venture. Your son too will adore making new friends and roaming the countryside, maybe going on hikes and long bike rides with dad. Though not keen on the tea rooms. If they got that one and didnt find a great manager their business could go down the drain. Sally had already said she didnt like working in the tea rooms and Colin showed no interest. There would have been no home life for them just work 7 days a week..didnt they want to semi retire???
Could the property w 9 paddocks be subdivided? What is the planning permission like in the area? They cpuld make back good money there selling to owner/builders.
Yeah I could date this guy. I could see him dating a tall lanky super model from Europe who lounges in silk and fur with a huge pink poodle. Totally cool and chill
The property they chose was my favourite as well...good on them! It's gorgeous and I hope they have a wonderful life there! 💚
Love Devon! House number two with 32 acres of land at 895GBP seems like a steal.

I'm from the US too and love this series!!

Is this really 2016? Looks more like the 90s with those big CRT TVs throughout the houses.

Good ending 👏
To each their own, they say! I would have gone for house number 2. I wish them well with their choice.❤

Couldn't pay me to take the tearoom. Everyone's different.
@@cinziam457 You wouldn't want to own a successful business and allow a manager to run it?

I got the same impression. They didn’t seem to consider what he would want at all.
I thought the same! Hope he will be ok
bING WATCHING ON THIS CHILLY SUNDAY...
Yay...they picked my favorite property
I love house 2. I'd sell about half the acreage though.
WOW! Great properties!
What a lovely couple

Agreed. Was rushed inside the houses

Also, what’s the appeal of a yurt? 😮
