@@allisontaylor1818 I agree, the system is hard to beat. No matter what each member of the company will back each other if one goes down. It’s politics.
And Ed clearly gets it this way. He is always frank and to the point. He is "humbleness excessively multiplied". Danielle is as much a daughter as sis and the rest of the siblings. Words always fail to tell it all...hmmm.. 🥰🥰
I agree, not everyone is capable of telling fairytales. It’s the rare ones that take the honest route, not only that some old school folk are used to direct honesty because factual information is what everyone seeks for clarification. ❤
It's amazing. He has no recollection of losing his license and the fact he's 92. But he always comes up with your name. Danielle, you & Dan are doing great by him. 💜
He's so lucky to have you still in his life at this stage. I know it's hard but you're exactly what he needs. I hate seeing when people are nasty towards you.
The nasty trolls have no compassion or a heart, they have their minds made up about Danielle and no one can change them, I have tried until it became too much. Danielle is an angel and Ed is Blessed to have her 🩷🙏💜
WHAT A “Stand up Lady” YOU ARE! TO LOVE YOUR HUSBAND AND CHILDREN’S FATHER AND GRANDFATHER!! YOUR DEVOTION AND CARE.. SAYS,” I LOVE YOU”.. OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER… Again! ❤️😘
Wowow...impressive defusing that situation...Ed is a STRONG personality even at 92...not ez but Danielle , you made it look way easier than it really is...!
You sure don’t have a easy job but you sure do a great job. I’m just starting in your shoes I just have the patience you have I’ve learned a lot from you and I know I have a lot more learn so please keep posting.
Sun downing stinks!!!! People that haven't experienced it have NO clue how VERY, VERY, VERY frustrating it can be. I also cannot imagine what it's like to be in his position either. I hope that he continues with his more easy going personality as I've seen patients (many) who become downright violent both verbally & physically. Changes in routine can ABSOLUTELY affect it too. You are right!!! Hope you're enjoying your weekend. Take Care ✌
It looks like you’re finally at the stage I was at with my mom when we became friends. I’m praying hard for you, Danielle! Hang in there, girl (which I know you are!)
Danielle ❤ your Simply the best grandpa ❤ Ed is so lucky to get the loving & care he deserves from you & his favourite son ❤ Dan you are such a wonderful family ❤❤❤❤❤❤xxxxxxx
😂 I love it. Sounds like my son with his homework. “Well you’re busy too, I did it when you weren’t here”. Danielle you de-escalated his emotions quick 👍 Ed loves you so much
I work memory care daily. I love this story. I didnt like this video. I love the fact the family stepped up to help Dr.Sallanger I didnt like the tone one of the present care giver. My house, I take care of you. She makes it sound like a inconvenience
I'm so happy to hear you and grandpa Danielle. Haven't heard you in a long time. See that smile he gave you, he knows you love him and he loves you too. Watching from 🇯🇲
I love how you handle Ed. He is so lucky to have you and Dan. I used to follow you on Tic Toc until I left the platform. Now, on Instagram and RUclips. I am glad to see all the positive comments here. You have earned every one of them.
I think you did an amazing job with Grandpa today. Having him look at you seemed to make a big difference! My mom has dementia, too. Times like these are so frustrating.😢
Danielle great job taking care of Grandpa! He loves you and his family. Thanks Danielle and Dan! Can’t wait till the next coffee chat with Dan and Grandpa ❤
There is one thing Grandpa never forgets, and that’s your name. He always remembers who you are and always seems to appreciate you so much. I believe your honesty goes a long way with him, and he has a deep trust and respect for you. ❤
A few years ago, we had a neighbor who lived across the street from us who was around that age, maybe little older, and he still drove until he finally had to go to another state to live with his son. My husband had talked to some of the man's relatives at times when they'd come by to check on the older couple, and they weren't too happy that the old guy was still driving though. I couldn't blame them for feeling that way, but he seemed to drive just fine whenever we would see him.
See old school men don't trust women that are confrontational , and this person loves arguing with Ed , Dan puts alot of the load on Danyella he needs to Cook and clean for his Dad , keep in your minds people taking care of Ed with the most respect not yelling, demanding giving him treats like you would a child and worst sitting him at the table for a cookie , Danyella go out and get a real job then you will be to tired to push Ed around ,Now There Ya Have It ! ❤
She's not arguing with him She's telling him what is true,.she already said she was not going to argue with him. She's just reiterating the true facts which reassures him, then he calms down.
How often do we hear Ed told by family that he is loved by them? Obviously, they all do, but while I watched this I thought just one "...& we love you Ed, you are the best and so much more." might help soothe his condition some and maybe settle him down. Danielle has to maintain a no-nonsense approach with him mostly. She's hot (no offence Dan, just obvious observation) and if Ed keeps forgetting that he's no longer 40 & that Danielle is not his DIL, then he'd be constantly hitting on her!
IMO, excellently/expertly handled, the end result speaks for itself - informed, appreciative and as settled as could be in the immediate situation - great deflection at the end with Coco, really liked that! Truth is often not easy to deliver but is often appearing harsh instead of loving (of course that can also be what it is, the one delivering knows - at least deep down) - but, as with the One Who IS The Truth, the Life and the Way, it can set you free (John 8:31-58, John 14:1-9))!
Soo sweet, yet respectfully defiant, that’s what you think , he said respectfully, and Momma Danielle, so protective loving❤️ and making dinner💅🏾🌷❤️✨✨✨✨
We all watch and see how hard it is but living with it is a total different story and tough on everyone’s mental health ❤❤ love you Danielle you’re so down to earth and tell it the way it is ❤❤
Beautiful dog. I favor German shepherds. Love to you and your patience ❤i know its a challenge, and frustrating, 🙏 i do adore Ed, he was definitely stubborn with this encounter today! Oh boy!❤
Grandpa doesn't comprehend he hasn't driven in four years but still tries to be agreeable & courteous. I love & appreciate Danielle's straightforwardness. Well done Mrs Salinger.. you're one class act.

I try. But after the 10th time I was trying to make it stick. 😊
I love how he has Koko to keep him company.
In spite of the memory loss he seems amenable to logic. That underlying intelligence is still very much there.

Hey Danielle, you guys are doing the most difficult things and making it seem easy. Thank you for that. Have a great day.
Thank you! You too!

Wow! I wish my mom were like him. She had dementia and would not handle it well at all.... if we'd tell her the truth..
Diffrent voice, Danielle is a lot nicer to Grandpa Ed! It's so much better for watching 😊
Atta girl! You tell it like it is! Instead of dodging all round the houses like Dan dies.
