    Don't like what he says.... don't listen to him. And he didn't say people who do drugs are evil. He said lawbreakers are getting away in many cases with murder. And people who abide by the rules are screwed. We are tired of it.

      Don’t like people’s reactions…don’t watch reactions. That’s the thing about a reaction channel, how can he know what an artist will say before listening to them? You’re upset because his initial reaction was that what Charlie said was a bit extreme when Charlie intentionally used extreme imagery throughout this song. Maybe you should just watch the original video if you can’t hear an opinion without getting your knickers knotted.

      Agree with @gingermarion874 ..... I got blocked and my comment deleted because I wrote the same thing. Criminals, of all kinds, are fuckin done in my book, period!! This dude doing the reaction is apparently a dealer.

      It is very weird today that when people do drugs or sell drugs or other crimes. The default reaction is to let them out of jail soon after or feel sorry for them.

  • @howardthompson5403
    @howardthompson5403 6 месяцев назад +18

    The reason a song like this is even made is because people want to treat criminals like they're not doing anything wrong. If punishment was carried out swiftly then we wouldn't have the crime we do.

    There is now a law here in Florida that if a person dies from an overdose or the way the drug was made if its meth or something like that the dealer can and will be held accountable for the death and will get a murder charge

    I think his message is exactly what needs to happen. This country is too light on crime and I am just as sick of it. There is heavy drug about there that needs to stop it at least be taken care of…. Punishment needs to match the crime, but it needs to make an impact. Evil criminals would start heeding the message and we’d have a lot less crime.

    Have you ever considered all the children that have been murdered by drug dealers. If it was your child how would you feel. He isn't talking about weed here, he's talking about Heroin, Angel Dust, Meth and all the other hardcore dope of that time. What would you do to the guy that handed your son the needle that killed him. For me there would be no mercy.

    This song was written and recorded in a previous generation.. his words come from his past, and his heartfelt feelings in the moment of that time of life. But that happened a while back. Don’t dwell on the lyrics, since they aren’t conducive to our current “woke” society.. he says a lot of things that hit hard with the blue collar hard working people that help make this country what it is today. Fuck off if you think this is racist bro

    The “tree and rope” stuff for “drug dealers” seemed like a huge dog whistle for black people to me… but I’m with you on freedom for artistic expression. That you can put those things aside and appreciate this as a work of art, and see the good and the bad shows your intelligence and maturity. Love your reactions. BTW, I wasn’t saying black people ARE drug dealers, but that it’s a racist stereotype, just to be clear. Something that ugly and hurtful is not what I believe by any means and has no basis in reality. In fact, I’ve never even had a black drug dealer… jk. 😁

    Always loved Charlie but am I a dealer? 100 times back in the day I'd buy a quarter lb of pot for $105, sell three $35 ounces to my friends, & I'd smoke for free. Only way I could afford it- I shoulda been LYNCHED? Was Charlie gonna dump my body on mom's front porch? Charlie was best buddies w/ hundreds of dealers- cough cough Skynyrd cough- & others who dealt in tens of thousands of dollars of HARD drugs every month, or every week. He says if the Bible says it, it's true (calls the bible the laws of MAN???)- but the bible also says it's ok to kill your slaves. Just as a for instance. Oh well. I like his music but have always, since the 70s, and I mean ALWAYS abhored his philosophy. Lynch drug dealers, on the spot...remember, D Trump once said a bunch of Central
    Park rapists- young black men, if I recall- should IMMEDIATELY be executed. And later, every one of them was proved to have been framed. Utterly innocent. I'm sure good ol' Charlie would look at'em & say, well they must be guilty of SOMETHING. What ever happened to live & let live. If the bible doesn't say THAT, it ought to. (And never equate child abuse w/ handing a friend some pot. That's just lazy, straw-man songwriting there, imo.) Wow. Long time since I heard this, thnx man.
