"He means what he says and says what he means."

Nice! He was a HUGE supporter of the military. Charlie was a great man, straight up.
I was lucky enough to meet him about 25 years ago. He and the band stayed in the hotel I worked in, and I cooked him and the crew dinner after a concert. Later, as I was leaving, I saw him and several others sitting in folding chairs out by the tour bus, talking and playing some music. I screwed up my courage and stopped to ask for an autograph. They saw the chef coat and thanked me for staying late to feed them, invited me to sit and chat, and we shot the breeze literally til dawn. He was an amazing, humble, sincere giant of a man and everyone around him was of a similar mold. He was a legend in every sense of the word and we're all much poorer for having lost him.

I really appreciate this. Im from his town. I grew up with Charlie Daniels in my life. I lived in his town, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and I met him many many times(like a grandad to me). By the standards of the American celebrity Charlie was as kind and down to earth as it gets. He didnt want to be associated with being famous and would argue with you if you called him "the best". This song really exemplifies that because Charlie really was a Simple Man. He spent most of his musical career dedicating his time to soldiers of all nationalities. He once traveled into a warzone in Iraq to play for 9 soldiers alone in their camp. He made a friend out of everyone he met and when he died the whole world stopped. A simple man simply laid to rest... Rest in peace, Charlie..

I'm from the swamps of Southern Virginia...very similar to Charlie's Wilmington, North Carolina upbringing. I have to say that we feel the same here. Charlie not only spoke the truth, he WAS the truth. He didn't care about what other people thought of him. He believed in God, responsible gun ownership, freedom, and legislation that was in line with solid biblical teaching. We need more of all of that here in America. You did a great reaction video to this. You got the message, and much love to my friends across the pond.

Hank Jr. often tells the story where after his couple of hundred foot fall from a mountainside in Montana that the first people to see him in the hospital were Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. Of course, Hank Jr. is about as close to country music royalty as you can get, being the son of a legend and all.

I watched his memorial service that was streamed live on his RUclips channel yesterday. Vince Gill was one of the people there, and obviously sang "Go Rest High On That Mountain." Which was a song Vince wrote for his brother who passed. Many people play that at their loved one's funerals.
Edit: 4:28 That scene of Charlie just reminded me of the eulogy that the pastor gave at his memorial service yesterday. I vaguely remember it so it might be off, but I think he basically made a joke about you could tell how intense a song would be by the leg stance of Charlie. The more intense the song, the wider he'd set his legs. Lol

Hi Gitana. I just found your Channel a few days ago. I love the Video reactions you are doing. You are never to young to join Country Music fans. I am 55 years old and I was blessed with the songs from the 70's and 80's and 90's. I love the music from the 500s and 60's as well. I still enjoy some of to days music but it seems to be harder to find. Thank You for the tribute to Charlie Daniels. He was born in my Hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina. I know several of his relatives.
I would like to suggest as others said Hank Williams Junior. His Dad Hank Williams was also a Country Singer. Hank Williams Jr .song Family Tradition explains that a little bit.
The best concert I ever went to was in 1983 in Wilmington, NC at the Azalea Festival. I was in college then and was In the Army National Guard and ROTC. I was a volunteer at the concert. The group Alabama was the opening Act for Hank Williams Jr. Alabama was still just starting out. Hank Williams JR was gracious and let Alabama come on the stage with him to sing part of a song. Everyone was saying the Warm up act of Alabama would be big stars.
Some other reactions I would love to see are from the Bee Gees. They had so many songs from lots of genres and wrote Islands in the Streams for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton to use. The Bee Gees were known for their Harmony and Barry Gibbs with one of the greatest voices. He was the Oldest of Four Brothers. Barry was Three years older than fraternal twins Robin and Maurice. They had a Younger Brother Andy Gibb who did a Solo career.
Too Much Heaven is an incredible Hit as well as How Deep is your Love. Staying Alive and Tragedy are among the Hits as well. Not many people have done reactions to Tragedy.
    Thank You again.

Charlie Daniels is what he grew up in. He grew and went to school with my father in law in Gulf NC. It’s a small town that has a general store and the post office r still the only thing there. Charlie loved our country and had a very straight belief in right and wrong! He was a huge supporter of America, our military, law enforcement and the heroes of the common man! He will be sorely missed!

The depth of his patriotism is apparent in "My Beautiful America" is followed immediately with "In America" , which need to be played together, from the album "Freedom & Justice For All" (cuts 1 &2) which came out in 2003 as a call to americans after 9-11-2001 World Trade Center collapse, to remember our land & brotherhood.
