- The 1975 have returned in 2020 with their 4th album Notes On A Conditional Form. It's their most ambitious project yet, hopping from new wave to soft rock to ambient electro. No matter what anyone says about Matty, I think he's got a real pure soul -- I love his enthusiasm for music and how he doesn't feel the need to apologize for sounds he has affection for, or whatever he's sentimental about. It's lovely hearing him talk.

Love these longer more in depth interviews. Matty's recent podcasts as well. So often I find that online diversions meant to cheer just leave me feeling empty, but a conversation between two people so passionate about music, this is food for the soul.

I know the album was supposed to come out in 2019 but I am so glad it came out in 2020 as it's the only thing keeping me alive in this horrible year. The 1975 saved my life
An hour long Matty ASMR session, I'm here for it!!! This album is such a stunner
I've listened to the album a dozen times already and though it hasn't reached the peaks of enjoyment of the last two albums....I'm confident it will. The 22 tracks go by quickly hitting a peak at "Nothing Revealed/Everything Denied".......it is another amazing body of work.

John Kennedy is such a great interviewer. I love all his interviews with Matty, including the Tape Notes stuff. You can tell he's really excited about the music and knows a lot about Matty and how he makes his music. So great

TBH, I imagine it’s because George produces their records so Matty might not actually know off the top of his head what the sample was. It’s a shame we don’t get to see/hear the other guys as well on these things

OMG, I can’t believe Matty Healy might be into country music because he wasn’t exposed to it growing up! That’s nuts! I wish it had been the same for me - my parents were huge country and western music fans and we were overexposed to it (still are) so much that, with few exceptions, I absolutely detest it now. 😅
