Keep the back seat bed the way you have it, it's nice to have a couch to sit on and lean back on when chilling ,😊😊and you can lay on the floor and stretch in the morning if you like with the bed back up. You will need to secure your dresser and fridge way more secure, if you slam on the brakes they will fly and hurt you. Get 2 folding tv dinner trays for cooking and preparing food. Your Rig is looking great !😊
Thanks! Since this video I have added another cord and more to the front so the drawers won't come out. I still like the sofa/ bed the way it it, but I'm going to eventually need more storage. Thanks for your suggestion and watching!!
Turn the dresser to the back of the driver & passenger side with drawers facing the couch/bed & put the refrigerator & night stand against the wall where the dresser was. You can do away with the night stand if it doesn't fit or put it in the back garage of the van behind bed if you absolutely need additional storage space. You can put your tool & van life stuff in it back there in the "garage". Make room for you a potty for emergencies. YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB WITHOUT HAVING TO GUT THE VAN. You can mout an outdoor shower with privacy screen & hot water tank. It comes complete from JOOLCA....I think I'm spelling it wrong. The sky is the limit with that beauty of a van. If you come across another van like yours, please advise me.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great idea!!!
Well, you can trade the cabinet out for a sink build with storage. That way you can have the fridge under the sink and a sink area also. Then u can use the current frig area space for a composting "potty" for those times when public facilities are not convenient
You might want to remove your backseat and build a bed out of 2x4’s and plywood. Then get a swivel for your passenger chair and you have someplace to sleep.
Can you turn the dress around so that it's behind the drivers running horizontal? You can maybe side your fridge down more, so your bed won't hit it. If you keep one of you side door close you can keep the little dresser in front of it without having to move. You can also take the head rests off the back of the couch.
Great suggestions
Greater no build
You got to find a way to cut that console out because you have to be able to get from the driver seat to the rear of the van without going outside
I wish I could!
Watch a ton of cheaprvliving videos. There are a lot of vans just like your on there. Ideas galore
Thanks for the tip!
Watched this morning. You motivated me to do some things. It's the little things that make it big.
Anything that motivates us to do something good, is a good thing!
I am a new follower and have been in my van conversion for a month, before that a minivan for a couple months and before that a Kia Sorento and one thing is for sure it’s a daily process figuring what works best where and the upgrades and changes, I enjoy it because it’s evolving to meet my needs, enjoy the journey 🎉
Yes, and there are lots of daily chores.
Bungee cords are our friends 😅
Yes indeed!
You’ve got a wonderful start! You need something to darken your windows! There are materials to darken your windows at home improvement stores, that you can put together with glue. You are looking for stealth and you don’t want anyone to know you are sleeping inside. Be careful! Looking forward to more vlogs!
I have window covers on the windows and one has reflectix insulation and sound deadening
It's really coming together 😊
Thank you!
*Your home is awesome & you are beautiful!*
Thank you so much!! You are so kind!
Maybe a smaller dresser? I love your van. Enjoy...⚘️⚘️
Thanks for watching!
Your van is coming along nicely. I much prefer the simple no builds like yours. I Need to be flexible in case I decide to change the setup. Well done.
Thanks for watching, and thanks for recognizing that things don't have to be permanent.
You can put your frig in front on floor on passengers side
Thanks! I really wish I could, but it's too big.
Maybe you can move the smaller dresser behind the front passenger seat and the fridge where the smaller dresser is or sit it over by the driver seat.
I would use a 2nd bungee going the opposite direction.
As I mentioned in the last comment I saw this years ago and people would say oh no never and so now never has become the way of living so to all those who has chosen this life I say enjoy every moment
Yes, it's not easy fitting everything especially when every inch counts. Just set it up and spend the night in it to get a feel for where things may work or fit best- play with your set up. You'll be fine. It's gonna be great 😃
Thanks for the tips!
Looks good! Will look forward to seeing your upcoming vlogs!
Yay! Thank you!
I’m purchasing a van much like yours next week. Yours look good .
Good choice! Have fun with it!
It looks pretty good! Miss our van but we’d upgraded since then. Enjoy!
Thanks! 👍 I already dream of the upgrade I want, but I had to get out and do what I could with what I had!
@@MeenasHappyLife and you’ve done well👍🏽
Put refrigerator behind the bed in the garage area with the opening facing the bed you can lean iver to get your fiid when ready. KEEP THAT COUCH BED IN THE VAN NO MATTER WHAT!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Good tip!
Do you need that many chairs in the back? Put the fridge in the back. When you come to MD let me know; it’s coming along.
I like the sofa/ bed for now. I come through Maryland often. But now I'm on my way south.
Looks good.
You will play around with it till you get it perfect for you❣️❣️
That's the plan!
I think that's a simple design very versitile. I like it
Glad you like it!
She's coming along nicely!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
What a nice van! I’m looking forward to seeing the process. New subscriber 😊
Subscribed to your channel last night!
@@MeenasHappyLife woohoo 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽🙂
I got that exact dresser for my van. Looks good. Stay safe!
Awesome! I love it.
Hi, just like everybody else. You're over thinking OK, I drove truck. For 20yr I have a van just like yours I am retarded now. The only thing you need is The cabinet by the door and your refrigerator! Put them behind driver side seat Get your Self a porta potty.Or a 5 gallon bucket with a ( lid They have toilet seat that we fit it online 😮or something that you need to use the bathroom and put it by the door For Short trip!!! .You can get a box. Some plastic containers to put your clothes in and put it under the bed. >The big cabin Take it out all together < Less is better when you traveling. Put your clothes, Food, and small cooking things under bed or in the 2 Draws You get the point baby! 😊 Have a good day Made God bless you in your journeys Amen! See
Thanks for watching!
Awesome job. It looks comfy!
Thanks!
I know someone that would've loved having that van when he was doing van life. Keep doing your thing 🙏
Thanks for watching!
Meena, I love the pillow and cover set...very nice!
Thank you so much 😊
Good luck with your channel. Love your van! And by the way…..you have a lovely face so show the world! God bless
Awww, Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing your van life journey.
Thanks for watching!
What about a smaller longer storage box under the bed.
I can hardly fit anything under there because of the seat frame mechanism
Looks great!! I really love the unit with the drawers. See you next time. :)
Thank you! 😊
If this is on an off van life, you can leave it like that ,but if this is a permanent build out you will have to remove those seats ,build a platform on the length of the the ordain to your height but if you are a short person you will have to build back just a little more and build the bed / platform high so at the back of the van czn be your garage area and under the bed/ platform you can have drawers put hou clothes etc, build a sink and cooking area closer to the door on the left side when entering the van, then under that area you can put your water containers ,then put the drawers back to the bed/ platform, then put your fridge and battery area at the back of the driver seat so you won't have to use to much wires when connecting the battery to the van so it can get charged, put can even put a tap light on the right side when entering the van( it dan be a snall solar light ) you can look up videos of person who have big vans like your ,have iojnpen and paper ready to write down info so you won't forget, happy build out
Thanks for your suggestion. A lot of the things you mentioned are in my future plans. I am working on getting my back door fixed so I can do that.
That looks really nice!!!👠🚌👠
Thank you!
Good job 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! 😃
That was fun and strangely relaxing. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks cozy
Nice and neat
Glad you like it
Oh&Maybe move your fridge between the front seats&your dresser (though you're going to have a shelf built for it,just do a short shelf to sit it in&dont screw it down maybe put hooks on each side of it&use bungy cards to hold it whike driving)&just move to the other side in back of passenger seat&let your bed all the way out&place it back by your bed for your night time use!Well just an idea&hope it helps😊!Happy Journey
Thanks for the suggestion!
So far so good❤
Thank you!
You are doing great❤
I appreciate that!
Doing it the best way, live with it and adjust as you go. Looking good.
Thank you. That's the plan!
oh I love this what a nice van. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! 🤗
Looks great so far 👍🏿 ❤🎉
Thank you! 🤗
Your camper build looking good😇
Thanks so much for watching!
Great job👍It's looking nice& cozy&that's one thing that Ive airways liked abou the older conversion vans is that it doesn't take much at all to just make it a little home on wheels with your own flare of taste in it😊!Love&Prayer&Happy Journeys 🚌To You
We agree! Thanks for watching!
It’s coming along very good. I can’t wait to watch your video on the archives and how you search for your ancestors.
I'm working on it. I'll do an update.
Move your refrigerator behind the passenger seat. That way you don't have to move it every time.
Looks good
Thanks a bunch! 🤗
I love it
Thanks!
❤LOOKING GOOD 😊
Thanks!
You take control for bed put into another easier access location for use
FYI, so you don’t have to stretch, see if there is another switch (to flatten the back seat to a bed), on the wall near drivers side between where the second and third row seat is. That’s where mine is. It took me a while to notice it, too.
Thanks! I'll look.
I'm a new subscriber and l love what you are doing with your van.
Thanks and welcome
Slide your chair under your bed. Lay them down and push them under between the metal braces of the bed
🤔
Put the refrigerator between the two front seats
Nice
Thanks
I would leave my bed in the bed position..
I would, but I don't want to feel cluttered during the day. Don't worry, I have a plan!
Don't be afraid to show your face, there is nothing wrong with your looks, you have a nice face.
Thanks so much!
Can you swivel the passenger front seat around and put the refrigerator up front? Or maybe take out the passenger seat?
Nice setup. Maybe at night, slide your driver's seat up to prevent your dresser from rubbing up against it. Move your refrigerator near the console or behind the passenger seat. Consider not adding the nightstand if you don't need it.
Yes, I'll move the fridge if I let the bed down. I need the night stand for now for my appliances.
@MeenasHappyLife ,ok, I understand what about keeping your appliances in a storage container, and depending the size, you could actually put it in the back behind your bed in the storage area
Dresser and fridge may hve to go behind driver seat.
Take out the front passenger seat and put your fridge there.
I thought about it, but my grandson want to camp with me.
another bungee on that frame please....great job.
Working on it!
Hi Meena. What about you turn the side table sideways you would have more room for the bed to come out. Just for now until you figue it out or get the paltform for it. No build is a great way to go..your done well so far Got some good ideas...
Also can you move your drivers seat forward a little bit to move the side cabinets down and then move the fridge down more so you don't have to move the fridge every night to sleep. Just a thought.
Thanks for the tip
Can you just use the storage units that's already built in the van to put stuff in.? Also it looks to have too much stuff in the back. But I like the van😀
The storage is very small. The things in the back will be taken care of when I can get my back door fixed.
Will the little night stand or fridge work behind your front passenger seat? Or would it block to much of the entrance? It's looking nice.
U could also move your front passenger seat up more if no one rides upfront with u
Oh u could also put your fridge in between the two front seats if it's a cooler style. I see a lot of van builds done like that
I'm almost done with my van build
I wouldn't like it there. I have to climb back there sometimes.
Have the suspension check for how much weight you can add to the suspension before you lower your milage, remember a full tank of gas is very heavy...no mouth breathing this time..good effort. Furniture should be bolted down in case something hits your van. All those things become projectiles in and accident that will hurt your animals and passengers.
Thanks for your concern. I added more straps. I try to balance my weight and keep it light. Gas is too high!
Put the fridge behind passenger seat.
❤
Take out the passenger seat…then place the fridge in that space
Take The Couch Out For More Space
A taller wall unit.
Hi, I’m a new subscriber to your channel. Are you going to add a portable toilet in your van??
Stay tuned!
You have a lovely friendly face you should show it more.
Aww, thank you!😁
#vanlife
Trying to make it happen! Thanks for watching
🙂👍⚘️⚘️⚘️
What about your bathroom?
Stay tuned!
I don't think you need the night stand. Maybe your son's could build one to fit. The carpet needs to be secured. It needs to be stapled down.
Thanks for watching!
Where is your toilet?
Stay tuned!
Aren't you covering up some audio equipment?
It doesn't work.n
Now we know what happened to all the old women who can’t keep a man, they’re homeless and living in vehicles.
No they at peace with their own self. Only their self to take care of.
You mean the one's who don't want a man and enjoy the outdoors.
@@Ms.Frankenbuilder Yes, the unlovable ones who enjoy the outdoors because they’re for the streets.
@@user-rb1rv6ff3i Yup, and they do it homeless living in a vehicle.
Imagine coming into someone’s house uninvited only to take a shit in the middle of their living room. Do better sir! I hope the world shows more respect to your momma! ❤️
It’s looking great inside 🚐 ❤😊
Thanks so much!
