I actually think that is a beautiful comparison; grief is very much like the ocean, it comes and goes...sometimes smooth, sometimes harsh, sometimes the rip tide is so strong we feel we can never escape and at other moments, so gentle and caressing. I was more so trying to explain how change is something we are destined to experience, we will all change and evolve as we journey through life and I don't think many of us are warned beforehand of exactly how much change we as a person will experience. A change in character, personality, preferences, opinions, mind, body, and spirt. We should never stay stuck or stagnant, change is needed and required as we venture through life
You'll be in my prayers. I hope Jesus finds you so the struggle ceases and you'll feel free. The self only brings trouble, it never evolves just seems to be evolving but we have a fallen nature so that won't be possible, only Jesus can heal you and bring you peace to deal with everything.
