I agree to an extent. A great casting for Nathan Drake would be Chris Pratt. Jurassic World 2 is pretty much Uncharted but instead of treasure, it’s dinosaurs
These guys understand why uncharted is special. Notice how passionate Nathan is when talking about the "triggers" for fans and how much he loves it, there's passion here. Passion that not a lot of film makers or stars have for source material. This is how you make a blockbuster. Passion.

I think they should make a movie based off the 4th game. I mean, the game itself is a movie. The graphics, gameplay, plot, characters, etc. No offense to the other games but A Thief’s End was beautiful.

Deadpool test footage got leaked and everyone bashed fox for a movie but the difference is that Sony already has a uncharted movie in development but it's taking way too long for anything to happen. So far only has casted tom holland (spiderman actor for people who don't know) as young drake.
they could just amend and adapt a story similar to 3 and 4 where it goes back and forth between old and young nate so they could still keep holland but the main focus should be with fillion. Studios should take notice that this short film is getting more buzz than their planned film. They should just scrap and rewrite it to include nathan in it.
I rather see tv web series on Hulu, RUclips or Netflix instead of just 1 movie that way we see more of this style film.

The thing is, passion projects like this usually have a proof of concept. Network/studio executives usually don't bite unless there's a huge amount of reception like this. It's the best and smartest way to get a series/film on the table. Much more effective than a elevator pitch (a pitch that would take the same amount of time as an elevator ride).

They want it canon with the game, and there really isn't any open spots for treasure hunting that hasn't been shown in the game while all the characters know each other.

Well they end with him going on a salvage job, could be he stumbles across some treasure clue, sees and after he gets attacked he follows it
If you played 4 then you would know it wouldn’t make sense for a Nathan drake movie after that.
Anime Protagonist its possible in one regard, his hand gets forced, stumbles across it and some treasure hunters grab him, force him to do the work for them on the usual threat of death, drake tries break out a couple times and finds himself stuck between two warring treasure hunting groups and he solves the puzzels while trying to escape. Eventually being able to get one call out to one of his freinds and so they decide gather the gang and decide they got the fire power and man power, decide to claim the treasure for themselves as a retirement plan

13 one-hour long episodes on Netflix/Hulu would be better at fleshing out the plot/characters than a single film, which is the main problem for most videogame movies. Also, I'd luv more "gameplay" scenes involving climbing, fighting on trains, jumping out of planes, etc.

Before the short film, I couldn't imagine Nathan Fillion as anyone other than Richard Castle because that's the only role I had seen him play. And even though I could see his striking resemblance to Nathan Drake, I found it hard to actually imagine him in the role of Nathan Drake. Now that I've watched him in the role, I can't even remember Richard Castle! He looks to me like Nathan Drake from Uncharted 4 jumped right out of the game and into real life!!!

You naive to think that lol, a sequel will only come out if Tom hollands one does very very well and they won't drop Tom at that point because it will be a risk to the franchise and their financial hopes. They only playing it off as a younger drake to try and get audiences into it. The scenes and storyline is of an older drake..not young drake.
