      Thank you! I know I'm pretty critical in the review, but as a package they aren't that bad at all.... My issue is more with the reviews that just talk about the sound quality being great and then not even giving a frequency response measurement..... reviewers can do better and TWS buyers deserve better. Anyway, thanks for watching and enjoy your purchase, a little tweak of that EQ and I'm sure you'll be happy 🙏👍

    Hi Regan, I finally bought these. I updated the buds to 1.10 and it sounds amazing. I even tune the buds to bass boost 1, activated the Aptx and made custom EQ on my player (otomusic). It sounds heavenly. Two step better than the melobuds (my daily driver from now on).

    Since the brand first launched, i've had 2 different pairs. Both have ok soundstage. One had a charging issue from about 8 months. Both has been treated with utmost care and yet both has issues with plastic cracking and even breaking out due to being too thin. No matter how great the specs, if the build quality is sub-par then i will rather spend a little more and buy Soundcore or even Soundpeats.

    • @TheChiraagG

      I bought some TWS with ANC for £10. Battery issues crept in 8-10 months in but still lasted for another 1.5 years at which point the battery was not great but they had survived multiple drops with zero cracking. The case would continually have to charge the right earbud even if full and the left one would discharge way quicker because I'd killed the battery on that one wearing it to sleep every night. I was still using them until they got trashed by seawater in a kayak capsize. The sound was decent, but max volume was a little low, ANC was almost as good as my NC700 Bose as long as I used the Comply foam tips to help the passive isolation. Best bang for buck ever. They didn't have multipoint though. Bought the Earfun to replace them. Sound isn't as good out of the box but tweaking EQ works wonders, the transparency on them is less white noise than the £10 ones, but the ANC struggles more with the sometimes crazy shrill noises of the London underground. Not just failing to block but trying so hard it crackles. It's the only really frustrating thing about them, otherwise still great value for money. Hope they last longer than yours did though. Fingers crossed. The multi point is a game changer for me.

      @@TheChiraagG Sure hope they do. My very first attempt at TWS earbuds was the FIIL T1 pro, which i'm still using to this day. A year or so after their release, i wanted another pair and found the EarFun Free pro's (Exact copy of the FIIL's), so i gave them a go - biggest mistake ever. Never trust a knock-off! Their downside is the fact that they try and push too many features into a "budget" earbud in order to try and compete with the likes of established brands such as Soundcore and Soundpeats.

  • @mushbert

    After some weeks' use on v0.4.8... Don't mind the sound profile, though it clearly does much better on certain genres of music. The ANC is very strange, fantastic in the lower range, I'm often near the mechanical room for a pair of differently-sized restaurant ventilators and the drone just disappears... but in the upper range it doesn't seem to even try, which has been an ok experience in practice. The ambient mode sounds surprisingly natural, but often if someone is not speaking directly towards me I find the levels are insufficient to discern their words with music playing. I have contacted Earfün with some suggestions, like adding the option to pause audio when switching to ambient mode and resume when switching back. The customizable ANC toggle can ONLY be assigned to the long-press action, which is annoying when the main use for me would be switching to ambient for a brief conversation without having to remove the buds... At this point I have the standard ANC toggle set to single tap one one side and play/pause on the other, and do both when I need to talk. One thing I am quite impressed with though, is the seal and ambient sound with ANC disabled, in wind or on a bicycle - can still easily hear approaching vehicles but no wind noise whatsoever is transmitted. The sound tuning could surely be better, but for passive listening at work or play I feel my money was well-spent. No complaints about the ergonomics here, I wouldn't wear earbuds to play basketball, but for non-contact activities they fit and hold tightly.

      And some things I forgot. If not connected to a device they power off after 10 minutes, so even using as ANC only, will still drain your phone as well. Mono mode works, but changes the assigned controls. No way to change ANC mode from the time your phone rings, to call end or routing call audio elsewhere. Not sure if possible on any device, but cannot reassign the controls for calls.

      Good question! The Air Pro 3 is great in terms of features, it's just the sound that lets it down a bit. • @ReganCipher
      @ReganCipher  10 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks! Comfort is about the same, perhaps slightly better on the Soundpeats. ANC is a bit stronger on the Earfun, but again not much in it. Call quality is also quite close - you can hear the two compared in the same scenes in my 2023 call quality videos. Sound is much nicer on the Capsule3 Pro though - the Earfun are not well tuned, and don't respond especially well to EQ either. I would say the Earfun probably have a slightly more premium feel to them, but otherwise I do like the Soundpeats more

    I love the sound quality on my galaxy buds pro and 1more comfobuds pro. They were a good price and i wanted multipoint. Any chance they can sound near to the galaxy buds pro? (Imo they are the best sounding earbuds on the market better than the sonys on par with the sennheisers)

    • @ReganCipher
      @ReganCipher  5 месяцев назад

      Both of those buds (1More and Samsung) are quite neutral sounding. The Earfun are very v-shaped, very bassy and the trebles are very spiky and not smooth at all. Some people like that (you can see in the comments plenty of people disagree with me) but I, like you, prefer the sound outfit of something like the Buds Pro, so for us I don't think even the EQ will save them. You never know though, you might like them?!

      @saadabdullah4245 1More has a new product - Pistonbuds Pro Q30. I reviewed them, you can find it on my page. They have multipoint (it says 'experimental' in the app but works fine) and the tuning is more neutral - still a little bassy but warm rather than the bass cannon that the Earfun are. Only thing is the fit isn't like the Comfobuds Pro, they fit a bit more like Airpod Pro. You'll see what I mean if you watch the vid. They're quite cheap as well

      And finally i take a tonne of calls. I know you included samples which i saw and they looked decent a lot of people were raving about the call quality on the earfuns do you think these are as good.
      The comfobuds were also amazing at calls(except wind)

    • @ReganCipher
      @ReganCipher  5 месяцев назад +1

      @saadabdullah4245 the spatial audio is ok.... It's definitely more usable than some where it just seems like really low resolution..... On the Q30 it does actually sound pretty good, definitely not Apple levels though. The Earfun are probably slightly better on calls depending on the scene - I don't have the Earfun any more but I made sure the call samples were in the same location so it's possible to compare. The sound is just so much better than the Earfun though!
