In this review, I will test and compare the Beats Solo 4 with the Beats Studio Pro from an audio engineer's perspective to help you determine if any of them are for you and, if so, which one. This Beats Solo 4 review will have microphone tests and sound samples to show how the new Beats Solo 4 is a detour from the Beats by Dre of old.

Returned so many headphones because of this. Literally returned the new studio pros within 2 hours of purchasing it because they immediately hurt my ear

Studio Pros sound great and they’re the most comfortable beats I’ve personally used. Been using beats since the Solo 2s in 2014. The newer studio pros are the only ones I’ve ever been able to comfortably lay down and use

I bought the studio pros for producing music because of how neutral the studios are even compared to headphones like the ath m50x and dt990s. This is the first time the studio in the name actually lined up with its intended use imo

Do not buy it, i bought some days ago beats solo 4 and they are not confy, the worst is when you increase the volume the music leaks out and other people can hear what you are hearing! I feel so scamed that i didn’t saw a review before buying them

I use my Beats Studio Pro every day for multiple hours. They aren't the most comfortable headphones but they sound amazing to me especially with transparency mode on. Lots of soundstage and air almost like an open back headphone. I'm probably going to go with the Sony Ults next because I want a good bassy set of Bluetooth headphones for my hip hop collection.
You gotta compare these to the Sony ult wear. Both have the same retail price and they’re the newest headphones out right now

Id rather buy the Beats Solo pros, they are better in nearly everything. The only flaw is the missing audio jack

I absolutely love mine even though they’re not noise canceling they still cancel noise better then my anker space one noise canceling headphones did with there passive noise canceling recommend highly

I had the Beats Solo 3 but it broke cuz the right ear cup can't deliver sound so I bought the Beats Solo Pro. And been using it ever since. Now comes Beats Solo 4, Can't find any comparisons with the Solo Pro vs The Solo 4. I love the design of the Solo line up. The specs of the Studio Pro is surely awesome, but I want the difference between them Solo Pro (tested) and this Solo 4. For me to know if it's time for an upgrade. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I had beats fit pros for a while. They weren’t bad. Not as bassy as old beats but definitely a much heftier bass than AirPods Pro’s. I felt AirPods Pro’s had more natural sounding clarity.

I had Beats Studio pro, they were good but the Sennheisers are better. They’re more comfortable with good sound quality they only problem with them is the active noise cancellation.
I have the studio pro and I love them ,but when I want real base I use my heavy's it's a new brand they are something else!
if u need smt overear with a decent mic and nothing too fancy this could be nice but for 200 bucks i might just go with smt else instead

I have the solo pro wireless and they hurt my ears a lot after a couple hours even though they have the Apple H1 in them 😢 The earcup size is really the down side of all the headphones. Regretted buying them

Ye they were too good that’s why. Metal parts more high quality design and w1 chip and all that stuff. However Apple wants beats to be separate from AirPods and the pros (as to why newer models don’t have apples own chips anymore)where too alike to Apple own headphones, not to mention probably the best deal they had

One other possibly deal breaking difference: Beats Studio Pro doesn't support audio sharing, but Solo 4 does.
Connected to an iPhone, Beats Solo 4 headphones have spatial audio with dynamic head tracking sound options. You missed that!

@@CheenoToCool So is it the head tracking part about it or is it the actual engineering the audio tracks into the atmos sound stage. I agree the head tracking imo adds no value. But listening to spatial on an atmos HTS, I have heard some really dope stuff. It's interesting at least Id say.
The Solo Pro were mostly flat response with a slight bass boost. It wasn’t the highest quality sound, but it was laid back and pleasant. The studio pros sound like the singer is screaming in your ear while the band plays in the background
The Solo is most definitely NOT a flat or neutral sound. I don’t understand how anyone could say that. It’s not even close.

Just received the Beats Studio Pro and within 30 minutes I have called Apple to initiate a return. Having been a happy Beats Solo customer for years, when I saw the SP were on sale I decided i’d upgrade. What a disappointment. Firstly, they are MUCH quieter than the Solos. The volume bar was half way up before ANY sound was detectable in the Studio Pros. Once I could hear something, It was mostly that cavity aching sharp treble that most in-ear earbuds are famous for which I hate. Next, the bass. Or what was left of it. There was some bass, but it’s eq’ed down to a “hint” of bass. Kind of an electronic similation of what bass could be. Yes, I checked all the settings. The “reduce loud audio” was off. “Sound Check”? Off. Atmos setting in music? Off. Nope, they’re just a crappy sounding $350 pair of headphones.
What I think Apple did with this latest generation was tune these cans to match the dead, lifeless, baseless sound of their earbuds which is what most people are used to. Which is too bad, I really wanted to love them but as an audiophile, I want my music as true to life as possible, not eq’ed to a sterile level to appeal to the masses. I guess I’ll stick with my 8 year old Solos.
Still can’t understand the downgrade from the Beats Solo pros to these. They had better build quality and offered anc. I’m happy to have bought them before they got discontinued

@@christianuresti6368where in Amazon? Here in Europe you can’t find them anywhere. My solos got stolen a few months ago, tried the studio pros but the sound and build quality don’t compare to the solo pros. Too bad the solos were discontinued.

No. I know another review included them. I honestly didn't think of the Solo Pros. The Beats Studio Pro was fresh in my mind. Once I saw that other review, I wish I had compared it with that instead.

Ah I see. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the two if you have the Pros! (Mainly sound quality). As I mentioned before, the 4 seems to be a downgrade in almost every way, except for the Spacial Audio and probably comfort (pros were heavy and had strong clamping force).

Studio pro I talked about. I don't have the Solo Pros. I don't remember which one talked about it. It's one of the ones that went out today.
Bought the studios for 170$ however even for that money I can say it’s still pushing it. The cheapness feeling with the materials and clicking should not be a thing at this price. Really makes the user feel like they were scammed. The sound is okay , definitely not bad but nothing to tell home about. Perfect for the gym but I just wish they perhaps sounded better and for sure felt more premium material wise. Do not buy if your paying 350$ you will be disappointed for that type of money
Sony Ult Wear is a far better option than the Beats solo 4 in my opinion
It does have more features and feels more comfortable, but I don’t like their sound lol
The ULT WEAR were incredibly comfortable, but never sounded right, even for bass headphones. I’m hoping they’ll use a similar design in the XM6.

I dont get why they boost treble and upper mids so much. Its unnecessary and unpleasant. Especially with toned down bass. This is true for all newer beats…
I like a bright an airy sound so it’s cleaner than old Beats, but yeah, it’s a bit too much.
I think bose and sony are much better even in the 2nd hand market..in the same price rangeor even cheaper

Larger Drivers do not necessarily mean more bass. That is incorrect.
