Hell yea. This cage looks soo good!! Im building two of them right now. 2.5×2.5×5.5 after I put the Frame up I was like F*** . I went overboard w the size but oh well the dragons will love it!

You need 16 wood dowels if they are 36”x5/8 unless you are combining cut pieces to make the right size for the top screens. 4 dowels per inside brace and 4 dowels per top screen lid.
I just saw this about building it and we just been doing the carpet layout for the enclosure.
How do you maintain the ground mixture, do you just spot pluck any fecal matter or do you do a full change out every so often.

They have done it, but my dragon usually eats em all before they do.

@@mikebuckler I waited I think 48 hours or 72 hours between grout applications. it says on the bag so whatever the bag says follow that. I did wait a couple days before applying the drylock so the grout could fully cure.
I tried your substrate mixture and it smelled really bad in my room is there any other substrate I can use of course I can use repti sand but it’s very expensive any tips on non expensive substrate that won’t smell bad?😂
Looks good, but is any of that material safe when exposed to the heating elements required for a bearded dragon.
Yes as the grout is pretty much just concrete really. Now I did hear that maybe the small paints I used even tho it’s non toxic may be toxic to some animals however so far 1 year later my dragon is fine and has been since. Drylock has been used for many years by reptile enthusiasts but a better option is polygems zoo poxy.
do you have like physical blueprints for this? as much as I love the video and will be using it in the construction I love having physical papers as well! again beautiful work!

Only got one thing I would do different, I would cut tiles and put it all through the enclosure and not fasten them. That way you can take them up when you have to clean. I think it would be a lot easier that's the way I did my first enclosure.

How has your bearded dragon done in the enclosure you built? I’m thinking about building one but want to make sure nothing you used could be toxic to the bearded dragon.

A great dIY tip, the loctite spray foam, when you apply it, have a spray bottle of water, as the foam is curing, spray it with water and you can physically shape it, make sure you wear gloves, I use this stuff for making Halloween props to shape tentacles and tree branches,this can't be done with great stuff spray foam, Only the loctite brand. awesome build and tutorial!!!

How do you control your electricity bill with your reptile enclosures
The lights aren’t too high in usage really. The heat lamp will be the only one. My electricity is only about $80 more expensive than my friends who have no reptiles. But uvb is only 24 watts. And I use either 75 or 100 watt bulbs.
i have a question if i use acrylic paint instead would it harm the bearded dragon or i have to use what ever paint you used
Water based acrylic paint will be fine

You can go 4feet long 2ft wide and 18 inches tall. This would be 90 gallon enclosure

Yes the sealer is the drylock. It’s a cement sealing paint

How often do you change out the substrate?
I don’t change it out at all. I added some isopods for a clean up crew. I do spot clean it and take all the substrate that is touching poop.
i live in australia and dubia and reptilesuppy doesnt ship to australia and i cant find any other 4x2x2 enclosure within the price range
Yeah that’s the only thing that sucks you can get a smaller tank if need be. Like a 4x2x18inches
are the top tracks 4 feet or 3 feet? and did you get one or two?
There is two tracks both four feet a top and bottom

A purchased enclosure would not come with a detailed background like this has.

It’s 4x2x2 but I did build it about 3 inches taller than 2 foot by accident

Has anyone else having problems with the paint coming off onto their bearded dragon?
That means you used a little too much dye. I would just get a soft sponge and scrub it off with water until it stops rubbing off.
As amazing as this video was, I’d rather spend the extra money to get my tank and accessories 😅

This is a HORRIBLE example of what NOT to give your bearded dragon. No hides, he can’t even climb that wall, and he’s only got 2 sticks to climb on plus 2 plants. Is that seriously all you gave him? This is NOT a good home for a dragon. My 75 gallon tank for my 3 month old baby has more to do, and more room than this apparent “120 gallon” enclosure. This is horrible.
Idk if you didn’t watch the video she has two hides and you can even see shorts on my channel of her digging in her hides. This is a simplistic natural setup with proper uvb heat, hides, branches and proper size tank. Your confusing decoration with care. Horrible care would be using heat rocks and coil uvb.

Totally understandable that you didn't have access to a table saw, but you could have saved yourself some serious $$ with getting a whole sheet of 1/4 inch birch plywood and cutting whole pieces for the back, walls, and floor. Pre Cut boards are marked up by big box stores with a 'convenience' cost. Great Build!

@@ChiefSweetsUniverse Sounds awesome and honestly, you don't need a table saw, you can get away with a small circular saw and using a couple of clamps and a 2x4 as a guide. You can make a whole 4x2x2 box from a single sheet of plywood.
Depending on where you purchase the plywood and 1x2x6 they will cut everything down to size for you at no extra cost. Got mine done at home depot.
